Five Below

Stopped by Five Below to pick up a phone case (pro tip they carry very inexpensive phone cases for $5!). This was my first time visiting this location and I was impressed. The store was clean and very organized.

If you are looking for t-shirts with funny sayings, this is your place. Stuffed animals, they got you. Cosmetics and other facial/body care items, they have a whole section. Candy and other snacks, the store has so many different kinds. I have to admit though I have never used any of the items from here so can't vouch for their quality. This store was huge and spanned 2 floors. I didn't get a chance to check out what was on the lower floor, next time!

Checkout was easy, there were multiple registers. The cashier was friendly and checkout was easy.

This is one of the best 5 Belows I have ever been to. While visiting Philly,
I need to get some art supplies and gadgets for my cameras. The storefront is cool. The store is on two levels. Very friendly, staff. The merchandise looks new, and a lot of the stuff has not been in stock in their Maryland stores. They have a variety of Squishmallows. ( The cool squishy stuffed animals)

They have a lot of inventory for pets. A lot of candy in stock! They even have a room, dedicated for items under $10. The tees were all in stock, I am a big fan of Five Below tees, and most stores in my area, are usually bare bones. All the cool shirts are out of stock or not in my size. Here in Philly, I found a lot of 90s theme, tees like Daria, Rugrats and Hey Arnold.

One thing, I didnt know, that if your shopping in Philly, they tact on a city tax of 2% in addition to the PA tax.

Majority of the their stuff was in stock. Ill definitely return.

This was my go to, but now no one is behind the register because they now have to be at self checkout to do the scanning.

This location of Five Below is in the Independence Mellon Building where the Ross Department Store & Citizen Bank are located.

This Five Below has 2 Levels and offers cash registers on both floors. Self checkouts are available as well. The items available are similar to most Five Below stores (i.e. Candy; Games; Philly Sports Team Items; Educational Books; Blankets, etc).

The candy at 5 for $5 is the devil!

The staff are all around-helpful and attentive. This Five Below is a nice addition to this building!

Great store with friendly staff. Employees are very helpful, and they say hi and bye to you. I have bought a few things here that are useful from iPhone chargers to Bluetooth headsets. They have seasonal items here from Christmas ties, to Halloween socks that are cheap! Lots of travel items and snacks. I stop by here if I need something quick and affordable.

I wish I had a Five Below store in California!! I visited the one in Philly this week a couple times. I got some awesome shirts for my sister, some amazing eye lashes, primer, face masks, pool toys, books, and a tripod phone stand! I want to go back tomorrow before I head to the airport to grab some more books!

JUST what I was looking for! I didn't want to buy souvenirs from a high cost plain jane store like you would find at the airport. This had awesome little treasures.

My friend was visiting from Orlando and wanted to find souvenirs from her trip to Philadelphia (to bring back to her boyfriend). We saw in the window that they had a variety of Philadelphia themed items and she went in. She spent about $30 in souvenirs, buying lanyards, magnets, shot glasses, little knick knacks, tshirts, keychains, etc. They also had an adorable section set up for Halloween where I bought a cute moon shaped wreath (which I've never seen before!) The store also had a raised level where you could buy cute pajama pants, slippers, t-shirts, makeup, nail stuff, etc. They even had a self check-out which I was really impressed with! The only thing I didn't like was that my wreath was so big and it didn't fit well into the bags, and I did not see where the big bags were located (even though they were in front of the self-check out area. I asked an employee walking around near the main registers if they had a larger bag and she just walked up to the spot where the big bags were located. I apologized, saying that I didn't realize they were right there, and she didn't say anything (which I thought was a bit rude), but other than that, this place is great!

My reasoning behind this rating are the horrible practices in this store. When they initially opened I was happy, they have everything you need in a store for a great price. I work on 11th and market so it's perfect distance from my job. They're always perfectly stocked, there's always someone available to help. However, their security guards need better training, every single time I visit this store I get followed around as soon as I'm seen and it's always the same Security guard. I'm a black, Muslim woman so I'm not sure if I'm being followed for my skin color or my choice of clothing but it's disrespectful. Today o got followed from the candy section, down the stairs to the play-doh and water bottles, back up to the register before he realized I was paying for my items. I have no issue with him doing his job but seriously, every single time I have this problem. So if you're black or Muslim I would probably not utilize this store. At this point I won't be visiting any other locations anywhere. Amazon will suffice
