Came in looking for rain boots... we were greeted immediately, and asked if they had rain boots for toddlers. The gentleman advised that they did not carry any rain boots but that we would probably have better luck at Nordstrom Rack. However, because we have other kids we wanted to check out their inventory anyway. While we browsed we found a pair of flip flops, the hard-to-find kind with the thick arch support for KIDS!!! We almost bought a 2nd pair but felt so uncomfortable with the two representatives hovering all over us most of the time we were there. I decided before buying a pair of kids boots to call Cabelas for their availability on one of the boots we saw online. So that's where we ended up at.
The inventory was organized and easy to find. The carpet is very dirty and the only area with seats is in the front of the store. The staff was friendly and made themselves very available but when we were checking out, the cashier looked at us and said, 'THAT'S IT!? Erika, the employee at 19th St. and Camelback, was incredibly helpful. She checked the shoes I'd chosen and noticed that someone had mixed sizes for one pair. She went to find the proper mate immediately. Then she found an extra 15% discount for me on top of the BOGO clearance deal. I really appreciated her attention to detail, and she's very knowledgeable about her industry. As soon as I entered the store, she noticed the shoes I was wearing and instantly identified the brand and size, although that store location didn't carry this particular style and color. She had excellent recommendations and was both friendly and professional -- please give that girl a raise! She (and employees like her) are the reason I return to Famous Footwear.

The girl working in this location today was extremely rude and told me even though I have the receipt for a brand new pair of unworn tennis shoes that I was NOT able to exchange them because I didn't have the box and so she asked the guy working there if we could go ahead and do an exchange and he said no ALSO so I went ahead and called another location over in Tempe and they said WELL come on and bring them and WE WILL take care of it for you no problem !!!! So I called the girl back and let her know that the other location was willing to do the exchange and she said well if they're willing to break the policy then that's up to them but we are not !! She was rude and I will never shop at this location on camelback again because of this bullshit. Now I am driving to Tempe to get the exchange done.

My issue with this store isn't its selection, prices, or service. It's their hours. This store is in a shopping center where most stores are open by 9am. Its two neighbors - a craft store and a home goods store both open at 9am. This store doesn't open 'til 10am. On a Saturday in Phoenix in the summer, people are trying to get their errands done before it gets too hot. I shared my displeasure with their late hours on Twitter and the company responded that all stores open at 10am on Saturdays - not a good way to show that the company cares about local norms.

I normally shop at famous footwear for my kids shoes, however my last few visits to this location were unpleasant. I stopped by today and the lady at the counter was so rude to my 11 year old son, that I put the 3 shoes I was about to purchase back. I heard her tell a customer that she was the store manager, well she sucks at customer service. We left and went to Finish Line and purchased the same 3 pairs of shoes. I guess company's don't realize how important the customers experience is or at least this one does not. I would rather spend my money somewhere that feels welcoming.

I purchased shoes for my 4 year old that light up a few months ago. Within a month two of the lights went out on his illuminator sketchers and of course I could not find the receipt (although I have a receipt for everything else I have purchased in the last 5 years). Since these shoes were rather expensive I was not a happy camper.
A few weeks ago a woman told me that Famous Footwear is great about returns even without a receipt. I crossed my fingers and took his shoes in to exchange them for a new pair. I was pleasantly surprised when they exchanged the shoes for me without a fuss or dirty look. I wish I could give more stars for this! I had a amazing service from Alejandro at this location! I had a pair of shoes that were brand new and never worn in my closet because they were too small. I was able to return them without the receipt using the app, which Alejandro showed me how to use. I was able to make an exchange for a larger size. I found something I liked even more after doing the exchange and once again, Alejandro helped me exchange them. I probably spend an hour in there (making my own decision on shoes) with my mom and two tired and hungry kids. The whole transaction was very fast. Not only did we have great customer service but all the people working were very nice on a busy mother's day. It definitely made my day that someone helped me through my indecisiveness with so much patience. I will be returning to this store! Thank you!

Went to get boots for my daughter who is size 11. I wasn't very optimistic I would find a pair on x-mass eve in her size. But I did! Super cute! They had 3-4 to choose from that were in her size! I'm amazed and I was literally out of there in less than 10 min!!!!

Great customer service last night I can't remember her name darn it but she was so patient I downloaded the app and all for the additional discount coming back for my daughters shoes for school tomorrow .
