Something has changed since my last visit. The overall cleanliness and free of nail dust was missing with signs of dust on products, tables and instruments. It gave me moment for pause as it related to short cuts in sterilization of nail and pedicure basins and tools which makes a customer more prone to infections. It was a busy weekend and they seemed short of help, but it is important to keep their initial standards of sterilization and overall cleanliness up.

Awesome people who do a wonderful job every time. Thank you Randy, love my nails and design. . If your looking for a great place in Norwalk, it's Entity Nail by the Pizza Hut; best to make an appointment.

Nov 5, 2022Previous reviewI thought I left a review but I don't see it posted. These people are awesome and they do excellent work every time. My mom and I have been coming here for a very long time and we have never ever had a bad experience. We are so happy they are in Norwalk and if you haven't been there please make sure you give them a try. We've seen a lot of people come and go and we have never seen anybody leave unhappy. The one thing I do want to say is I seen a negative review somewhere about somebody leaving with a bumpy nail and they were so unhappy and will not go back. One thing that is so aggravating to me is when people get something done and they leave without telling their nail technician. If you look at your nails and check them over before you leave and something don't look right, TELL your nail technician BEFORE you leave! I know these people well enough that they want you happy and if there is something you notice that you want different or don't like simply tell them and they will make it right; they are human and maybe something might not be perfect every time but they want you happy and they want you to come back so communicate and let them know if you need something fixed or done different, it's that simple.
But again we've been there long enough and we've always been happy and always left happy and frankly have always seen other people leave happy. Great people and service - Charlotte T.Des Moines, IA02Jan 2, 2024
I went to get a PINK, COFFIN shaped dip mannicure. To say i am disappointed is an understatement. I walked out with EXTREMELY short RED (not even a pink-ish red, bright red.) nails that were crooked, not proportional, and bulky. they werent even coffin. they were a round-ish square shape. I cannot believe i payed FIFTY dollars for these. Do better entity nail bar.

Cranky man pushed me off balance as I came in. Pick polish. He cursed at customers when he needed to make change. Shorten my nails please. Twice. Hummmm. Apparently cranky doesn't speak English. Not recommended.

I typically don't take the time to write a bad review but my pedicurist was exceedingly unfriendly. She very tersely told me they didn't have the color I picked out. She rushed through my shellac pedicure, didn't speak to me nor did she thank me when I tipped her. She was dressed in pajamas and a beanie. Maybe she was sick & shouldn't have been working today? My pedicure was fine though. Nothing to write home about. The atmosphere was just mean & depressing.

Unfortunately not a great experience. Salon was not very clean and had areas that looked like it was being repaired but also possibly just left like that. Pieces of the floor was missing.
I was not able to get both toes and fingers done because they didn't have enough time. I have never been to a salon that didn't figure out how to make the time. It also appeared they had an extra technician who was not seeing a customer. That was a strange experience
When done the pedicure looked good at first and then the next morning I noticed nail polish was uneven and tips were not completely covered with polish.
Probably won't go back as there are many other options.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dani W.Drake, Des Moines, IA3272Apr 18, 2021
Not a good experience here. Paid for an upgraded pedicure and I think they scrubbed my feet for maybe..10 seconds? Didn't see any reason why or how it was upgraded. Then I was told they had a matching color for my nails, which I also got done. As you can see..not even close.
They acted as if we were being rushed cut my fingers a couple times, uneven, bumpy and all different lengths. Didn't cut/clean up my cuticles and left tons of extra dip powder under my nails.
I ended up coming home and instantly filing and trying to fix them myself.
Will not be back.

It's strange for me to admit that it'd been two years since I had a pedicure. I used to get them monthly. Having a child made them not very important to me. But I do remember what makes up a good pedicure, at least in my opinion...
A short wait, or no wait at all:
Having came in 30 mins after they opened on a Monday, I expected them to be slow, customer wise. There was one lady getting a manicure when I arrived. I got in right away for my pedicure. About 10 mins later, another lady came in. She had to wait. By the time I left, another four ladies came in. They had to wait. So my "wait" experience was good but I wonder how the others felt.
Friendly staff:
The lady who did my pedicure was very nice even as she multi-tasked with the others coming in and also leaving to take phone calls. I really liked her. She even corrected me when I accidentally overtipped by a decent amount. You won't find that very often.
No up-selling/pressure:
Shortly after I sat in the chair, soaking my feet, and getting a massage, I was handed a pamphlet with all the choices for a pedicure. No pressure at all besides just choosing one. I was never asked to get a manicure or more services added to my pedicure. I loved this approach!
Clean:
This is where I cannot give them five stars. This is not a very old nail salon and it was not the cleanest one I'd ever been to. The grout and tiles were dirty. The stool legs were dusty. The carts that held the lotions, scrubs, etc were also a bit messy. They used the same wooden stick to get product out and placed on someone. That made me a bit worried.
A good pedicure:
I am rather happy with my pedicure results. My toenails look great! She did a nice job with the foot and leg massages and was also aware when the towels or stones were too hot.
This place was a little different inside (in a good way). It had a high top bar for the manicures which is so unique! With a bit more cleaning of the place, this would be a nail salon I would frequent.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sophia R.Spring Hill, IA011May 27, 2020
I had scheduled an appointment at entity nail bar for my first visit less than a week ago and was so thoroughly disappointed with my experience. I got a full set of acrylic nails on and had to put my hand on a dirty mat that wasn't cleaned prior to my appointment, dealt with bad service, didn't feel welcomed once, got cut 4 times, and spent good money on nails that have already began to pop off NOT EVEN A WEEK LATER. I will for sure remember to take my business elsewhere next time. 2/10 recommend
