If you're looking for a great place to take care of your hair, look no further. The reception girls immediately welcome you upon walking in. They offer water, coffee or wine while you wait. The staff at this location are accommodating and so friendly!
I've been seeing Susie for almost a year and she is great. I previously had blonde hair and Susie really took the time of transitioning me from my blonde to a rich brunette. (All in one visit!) She explained the importance of great haircare and recommended products to me that I now use religiously. I always look forward to getting my hair done! Every appointment that I have with Susie always feels like I'm catching up with a friend. She is the easiest person to talk to and I love that about her! I can be kinda awkward from time to time but she really knows how to make my appointments run smoothly and we can talk forever because of it. Susie is a hair goddess and I'm glad she's my stylist! I got my hair cut by Katie Grace recently, and it's my favorite haircut I've gotten in a long time. I went from very long hair to a long bob, and she did exactly what I asked for.
After the initial appt I got home and realized I was not happy with how thick and chopped it looked at the ends, despite it being what I asked for. I called the salon and they were able to book me back in with Katie within 2 days, and she did an amazing job adding layers and definition to thin out the ends. I will definitely be back to see her!

Unfortunately I've had a horrible rough experience here. I had been going here from end of 2022 to the end of 2023 and built a great relationship with the company but they were not getting my hair to where I wanted after getting over 9 full foils done to my hair spread out throughout the year. (Which shouldn't have taken that long as I talked with another stylist at a different salon)
I ended up with bad streak lines and went in to get that fixed and I did, and then a week later my hair by my roots turned pink. I'm assuming it was a bad toner batch or something. I don't know as they wouldn't even help me. They would not fix it and told me it was best to pursue another salon and gave me a refund from that last appointment. They also blamed that it was from when I got my hair tinseled and it dyed some of my hair pink but that is not true as I did not have tinsel all the way up my root line and we already got the pink tinsel out months before.
This happened at the Snohomish location with Alyssa C. who gave me the bad streak lines, Malia who turned my hair pink on top, and Michaela the manager who wouldn't help resolve anything. I still have pink in my hair, low self esteem, and breakage from this. The salon emailed me back a couple days after I asked for a refund and asked me to come to see a master stylist for a correction- I declined and asked for a refund. They replied to offer me a credit at the salon instead, and i declined and asked for a refund again. They finally obliged and processed my refund, so I edited my review and added a star and this information, because they did refund my money and acknowledged their mistake, which I appreciated.
TLDR: If you want a simple partial foil, you're actually getting beige hair.
I thought it was strange that this Salon had such lengthy policies about cancellations and color patch testing, it seemed a bit over the top but I booked a $220 service anyway, I didn't figure I needed to worry as it was a fairly routine and easy one: I wanted a partial foil with a smudge root. I have a grown out pixie cut, my hair is very short.
The problem: It took 2 hours to get my foils in, and when they came out, my hair was gray. I mean: gray. Like. I looked like Gary Oldman.
I've had a lot of foils and I know that this was the wrong toner and on too long. I was told the reason it was gray was that I had asked for an ash tone. Ash blonde doesn't mean gray, so I asked the stylist to correct it. She stripped out the toner and as she did this, recommended I use Nioxin shampoo to fade the bad toner she put on my head. I said I didn't have that and I wouldn't be getting any. She left me with the stripper on my head in the bowl and passed me off to someone else and didn't say goodbye or apologize but she did look up and answer the receptionist when it was time to confirm my pricing.
The woman I was handed off to was kind, but honest. She asked what color I was going for, and I said blonde, and she said "it's beige." I paid a total of $240 to have my hair colored beige in a double process that damaged my hair more than necessary and resulted in a huge waste of time and my hair looks really pretty terrible. I shouldn't have paid for the service, I regret doing so, but I thought I could talk to the salon and they would refund me today after receiving my feedback, but I have received no form of response. I wanted to share my experience, because it was a lot of money and 4 hours wasted to get An "ash blonde partial foil" that somehow is: beige and has no shadow root and looks and nothing like what I wanted.

Sadly i am writing a bad review as a former hairstylist who knows very well about customer service this was unacceptable is best described. I had made an appointment with a stylist I really liked she had done my hair twice and I rescheduled with her unfortunately I missed the appointment got the days mixed up although I did not get a reminder call but a txt in which my mom brain went Thursday when my appointment was Wednesday. I missed it, I had no problem paying the no show fee it was ultimately my fault however when I rescheduled the stylist I really wanted was booked out but they offered to reschedule me with a stylist with the same level experience but when I called to pay for the missed appointment and I asked to confirm they had booked me with a different hairstylist that was a couple levels lower experience that is the unacceptable part. What a shame I really liked it there but this is how you loose a client, I don't normally write bad reviews but being that I have worked at a high end salon I knew this is absolutely not okay.

First timer - Found this location online and liked that you could connect with a stylist online prior to arrival. My stylist was nice and helpful. Prices may vary depending on the experience of the stylist you have and what you have done. There was leftover hair in my seat from other people and would suggest a better cleaning, but this could have been a one off.

Nadine is absolutely brilliant with color.
If you have a challenging blonde situation or just need a quick bleach and tone, Nadine is your person.
Everyone at the salon from booking, management and my stylist, Nadine, were incredibly warm and kind while helping me with a really challenging blonde issue that had turned into a color correction.
This is my first time trying a Elle Marie salon and I was very impressed with how knowledgeable and confident Nadine is. She brought my hair back to its happy place, the color turned out a perfect rose gold we were going for, which we didn't know if my hair would hold the color as we wanted.
Happy to report that not only did she correct a splotchy blonde situation, the final rose gold turned out absolutely perfect. I really appreciate that they carry my two of my favorite hair care and color lines, Pulp Riot and Redken. Since the color I wanted was from the Pulp Riot color line, and with Nadine's color correction skills, my hair came in a dingy mess and I left with gorgeous color, exactly as expected/wanted.
I was so happy, that I decided to work with Nadine to start having my tape-in extensions put in regularly by Nadine.
They also carry a very respected brand of hair extensions with multiple types of bonds.

Sarah L does an AMAZING job! If you have curly hair and struggle to maintain it, Sarah L is your girl! She has taught me how to love my curls! I highly recommend going to see her at the Snohomish location!

This place is fantastic! Everyone is friendly and it's such a cute atmosphere. I have been happily going for years to see Mackenzie. She is sweet and very talented. Highly recommend.

I received the best haircut and partial foil and I loved my stylist Margabelle but the price agreed upon was not what I payed. The cut was $68 and the partial turned out to be $180. I was shocked. I did give an additional $20 for a tip because I loved what she did for my hair. There was also a toner added on that cost $30. Needless to say the whole cost was too much. I didn't complain at the time but for anyone that can afford it this elle marie shop is great. The staff is caring! It's a small shop and the parking is terrible. Not much space and everything was full so come early to wait and find someone leaving. I traveled from Mukilteo but if it wasn't for the prices it was worth it. I do hope the price for partial was a mistake but I'm not well and didn't want to haggle over it. My foil and cut are beautiful!
