Ella's Salon

I had my hair and makeup done here before my best friend's wedding in December and I LOVED it. I wish I could look that good every day! The stylists took my very vague directions about what I wanted and gave me a look that I still sigh over when I look at pictures.

The salon itself is beautiful! The exterior leaves a bit to be desired, but the ambiance on the inside more than makes up for it.

I had a fabulous experience with this salon and I highly recommend it!

Poor service and quality all around. I've given this salon numerous chances in hopes it would get better, but am saddened to say, I will never go here again. First time I came here, I requested a stylist who is skilled in balayage. The receptionist said that everyone here knows how to do balayage. I said ok, but please schedule me with someone who has extensive experience with it. I show up to my appointment and show the stylist a picture of how I want my hair. It's nothing difficult...very close to my original color. I just needed some refreshed highlights. I specifically said I do not want to be blonde. I want to remain brunette with a few lived-in blonde highlights. The result was the opposite of what I said. I was completely blonde! Like, white blonde! And it was not lived-in. She placed the highlights directly up to my scalp. When I got home my kids literally said it looked like I had gray hair. It was horrible. I called the salon and they got me back in to add more brunette back, which was great. I showed the stylist the same picture as I did the day before and pointed out how it should be mostly brunette, not blonde, and the color does not start at the scalp, that it should have more of a lived-in placement. She argued a little by stating that she thought the highlights started at the scalp. I zoomed in to show her they don't and that this is what "lived-in" means. I knew then and there I would never be back for my hair.
Second experience: I needed to get a gel manicure. The person doing my nails completely missed parts of my nail leaving them bare! Multiple nails were not fully painted.
Third experience: Decided to try a different nail tech in hopes for a better experience. The new person was definitely better with attention to detail, but she did not have a pleasant "bedside manner." She insulted me to the point that I left crying. I had been going through a particularly difficult time in my life and her comments about my nail color selection and personal preference broke me. You know when you just get to a point that you can't take any more stress? That's where I was at. Getting your nails done should be a positive, uplifting experience. You should never leave a salon feeling worse about yourself. I left a private review of my experience via email over two weeks ago and they didn't even reply to apologize. Three strikes and you're out, Ella's.

I had my hair and makeup done for my wedding here as well as my whole bridal party and my mom. We had a great experience. All the stylists were wonderful and seemed to care if we liked how we looked and were all happy. Only bad thing I can say is one of my bridesmaids had an updo and it started to fall apart an hour after we left.

I bought my girlfriend a spa package, she made her reservation, after the reservation the lady that does massages quit, so she was out that part of it. They offered to do her hair in exchange. Which she ended up having to pay even more for. The woman who did her hair messed up terribly. She got dye all over her neck, didn't clean it up, tried to pretend it didn't happen. Her neck is literally stained and we have a wedding to go to the NEXT DAY and the dye will not come out. The worker also did such a terrible job dyeing her hair my gf had to buy dye filler to get the spots she missed. It was supposed to be 8 hours. The workers rushed their job so much she was only there for 6. Very unprofessional. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Ellas salon to anyone. What a waste of money after learning how terrible they are. Honestly she feels like she was used as a test dummy for inexperienced people.

Ok, this is crazy, but I literally had the best haircut I've ever had at this salon. I didn't have chance to get a haircut before leaving Omaha for here, and I frantically looked around for a barber shop or something. To no avail, I stopped at a local fitness club and asked the desk girl where to go. She told me her husband comes to Ella's and recommended it. So I looked no further and here I came.

I was able to just walk in and see someone no problem and it was awesome. I can't for the life of me remember my stylist's name but she was awesome. She was friendly and curious about my trip and we were able to talk my entire haircut with no awkward silences like usual. My hair honestly looked better than ever before and I wish I could come back here just to get a haircut. When I got my receipt I couldn't believe my eyes at the price and thought I would give a decent tip to make up for what I thought was too inexpensive for what I got! If you're in town on vacation, do yourself a favor and come here.

Ella's takes care of Rodney and me. We love it there. It's great when a business runs so smoothly and everyone that works there is so happy!

i would like to say i recommend this place however.... i have tried this place with a few stylists and never quite seem to get what i show in pictures. i'm not expecting for 100% the same thing but close obviously... well the last woman did a decent haircut and took her timr which i appreciate, the color was very far off as far as highlights and the pics i showed her. i was not able to see the highlights as they're peek a boo and well thought they just didn't show up honestly... went home and they're bright 90s super contrasting highlights... i get things happen... and if she would have said it didn't come out as planned and fixes it i would have 100 percent not been angry... as she was blow drying and flat ironing my hair. i wanted like a medium reddish brown and showed her a picture.Got super light orangey blonde highlights. i'm going to redye it myself and feel awkward having someone else re so it in an open setting ... or asking for my money back though i would not be opposed to that as far as the coloring.. and my previous services have ended like this as far as not achieving the pics.... would be nice if there was a manager at the desk of whatever? if i have only encountered a front desk worker and the cosmetologists at the front desk it makes me not really inclined to reach out to the management... wherever they are...Just disappointed in the the complete lack of experience these stylists have and how what i ask for is moreso taken as a light suggestion.. and nobody really around to manage.I'd come back for a massage thats about it.For the prices of a cut 30 bucks and color 70 its really pushing it with the level of the expertise these stylists have i'd moreso expect to pay half this price honestly... Completely different then what i asked for.

Love this place! The staff is great, lots of products to choose from and Amy gave me a awesome color!

This salon is Amazing! From the minute you walk in the door you notice how friendly and clean the salon is. I have had many services from my hair to my gel polish and my monthly massages. All of the girls are very professional. Thank you Ella's for making me feel great!
