Of all of the things I loved about my wedding day, I was only moderately satisfied with the photography company. For one thing, the photographer MISSED THE KISS!!!!! You know, when the priest says for the married couple to have their first kiss as a married couple ... well, our photographer totally missed it!!!! I was not happy about that. Then, after they told us that a CD of our photos was included in the $2000 price for our photos/album, they then stated that that would be a couple hundred dollars extra. Then, after only 2 months of our pictures being posted online for us to choose the photos for our album, they pulled the photos and stated that they would repost (FOR A FEE)!!! Yes, they left them up for 2 months, but we just got married and we are both in school - sometimes people are just too busy to make those kinds of decisions in two months ... especially when the most important kiss of our wedding was MISSED ... you would think, that for $2000, they wouldn't miss something that important!!!!!

I debated between 2 and 3 stars, and then only reason that I have given them 3 stars is because that the moments that were actually captured did turn out beautifully. I would not recommend this business for your wedding.

When my husband and I set out to find a photographer for the wedding I wish we would have done more exploring. During all the stress of event planning and coordinating we chose Edwards because they had been in business for such a long time.

My husband and I have just celebrated our four year wedding anniversary and the only thing that saddens me about that day is our wedding pictures. I make sure to tell all friends, family, and just acquaintances to not consider using the company. Planning a wedding is hard work and you make a lot of decisions just using your gut.

Here are the issues that we had.

When you first go in; you look at a photo book to get an idea of the companies work, but they pick the photographer for you and tell you that the styles will match. I truly believe meeting that person before hand and having an idea of that persons work makes more sense. This should have been red flag number one.

Second red flag was picking the packages, they make you select a package to find out later on you can increase the package but not decrease. We didn't love the pictures so filling the book became a challenge.

The turn around time is the slowest for any company I have ever met! The whole process took us one year to complete, but partly was our fault because we had a hard time putting the book together. If you are a person that wants to see the proofs quickly this doesn't happen.

The third red flag was that they charge even more money to put the proofs online to share. This doesn't make any sense since this is a complete benefit to them.

Everyone in the store was nice, our photographer was kind. The picture themselves were not touched up well. Everyone that sees the pictures has the same reaction...you can see every sweaty forehead, or blemish. On your wedding day you want to have pictures for a lifetime, instead we have a box under the bed that causes me to cry just thinking about it.

The reason it has taken me a while to post a review is because just recently we had pictures taken by another photographer. The touchups, and turn around time was amazing. It just made me sad to think that I can never go back and redo that special day, but I can warn people of our experience and at least say check out other places before you make that final decision.

We used Edwards in our wedding in 2009 and when I saw my photos for the first time I cried. I obviously didn't cry out of joy, I was horrified. To this day I regret using them as our photographer. Even though we did get a few good shots (which were my or someone in the wedding party's idea) it wasn't enough for me, especially when we paid a ton of money. Someone else posted that their photographer missed their kiss, well ours did too and we will never get that moment back! I also have not one photo of me and my maid of honor, nor one with only me and my two sisters:*( We went to a very beautiful park for photos and all I really have to show for it is a ton of two people shots (me and one other person and my husband and one other person). In total I have three to four separate " two people" shots. Oh yeah, all of the photos I have with my husbands family my beautiful train was behind me. It wasn't until the last few photos with my family the photographer realized this and fixed it. We were being kicked out of the church so we couldn't do any redo's. What a waste.... And how the heck was i supposed to realize all if this or even keep track after all of the crazziness of the day???All I can say is do your homework before choosing Edwards. I looked up some reviews after the fact and more than one person has stated their work and level of work is based on money/how much you spend!
