Rented a bike and kayak over Memorial Day weekend. Delivered on time, and let us keep them Sat-Tuesday and charged only for 24 hours, as they were closed Sunday-Monday. Gave us the deal totally unprompted -- equipment was great, and nice guys for giving us a discount :)

The staff has been great every time I've entered the store. I'm a traveling RN and always being the new guy in town it's nice to find gems this crew.

I do not recommend working with this company.
I had a good experience with them when I rented kayaks and paddle boards through them for my wedding in 2014. Unfortunately, something has changed and the customer service has gone downhill. I put in an online request weeks before my event. I did not hear back from anyone. I called and could not get an answer on the phone. Finally got in touch with them the day before my boats were due to arrive, only to be told on the phone that although they did have my request, they could not fulfill it. No apology for not calling me earlier. They blamed google for not alerting them to my request. I would have expected them to take responsibility and at least use their network to try to find me the boats I requested. They made zero effort. Will not work with them again.

Every time I have tried to get past my frustration with this shop and give them another try, they disappoint -- never with products, but always with attitude, demeanor and poor customer service. Fortunately, I have a second home in Alexandria, VA and there is a terrific bike shop over there (Spokes); but as we spend more and more time in Oxford I've happily relied more than ever on Easton-based businesses. Purchased a Townie bike for my wife the summer before the pandemic and when I brought it back for our first free, annual tune-up, the owner told me I'd have to leave it for the better part of a month before they could get to it. Said he had 100 repair jobs ahead of me. No problem, and totally understandable around the 4th of July; but when I suggested he just put me on the list and give me a call to bring the bike back whenever my number came up, the owner said that wouldn't be possible!! So I left and took the bike with me....and won't be back.

A few years earlier, I gave my wife a SUP for Christmas and bought a paddle leash from this same shop to put under the tree, planning to bring her to the shop in the spring to help select the best board for her. Imagine my surprise when I tried to return the leash to the store for a refund (within the time limit for returns) and was informed by the owner that nothing they sell is refundable and I'd have to accept store credit. He was happy to point to the fine print on the receipt, which he'd never mentioned when I made the initial purchase and outlined my plan to him. Somewhat indignantly, he uttered something about having "no choice" because of competition from the internet. So, I concluded that I did have a choice, and bought Laura's board from East of Maui in Annapolis (fabulous, knowledgeable customer service). So, in order to hang onto his $32, the owner of Easton Cycle and Sport lost a $900 sale. Brilliant businessman.

Post-script: I actually used the $32 store credit when purchasing my wife's bike a year later, hoping my initial experience with the SUP had been an aberration -- and, not surprisingly, the sale went smoothly. But it was the utterly, non-customer friendly treatment we experienced earlier this month that convinced me once and for all that the most important thing to the guy who owns this shop is the money his customers bring with them as they walk into his shop. Lucky for him he has zero local competition.

Easton Cycle and Sport provided the six of us with excellent service and bicycle equipment. Staff and owner are cheerful and helpful, going above and beyond to accommodate every request. Recommend!

These folks couldn't be nicer or more helpful. They made sure everyone in our group was happy with our rental bikes. And they offered to help us out if we needed repairs on the road. This is a fantastic area to explore by bike and these are the people to set you up with whatever you need.

Two weeks ago my family rented a house for a long weekend in St Michaels. We wanted to rent fishing kayaks for a day of fishing and crabbing. I called about a month prior to the trip to reserve the kayaks. The customer service was great. I also needed them to be delivered to our house. We were going out on Sunday. $30 charge for delivery and pick-up. They delivered them at 3:30 on Saturday so we had them ready to go Sunday morning. Also the kayaks are the top of the line Hobie Outback and Compass with PFDs. What a great day! I highly recommend this business to anyone and I will be a repeat customer.
