East River Liquors

This liquor store is close to my workplace so it works out in terms of convenience. The selection is pretty substantial and the prices are decent. The staff here has its days where they are relatively friendly and other days they are rude. I wouldn't come here for wine. More so for dark liquor options as well as vodka and rum.

George! Thank you sweet man. Every time we dine at Tanoshi I stop here for a bottle Sake. I always leave with a new favorite. This time it was Hakutsuru Sho/Une Junmai Dai Gingo. So good in fact that after dinner I got 2 bottles to bring home :) great spot. Thank you!

They say they close at 10 PM but denied me service at 9:50 PM. Don't go here, go to dr. Wine.

Selection is phenomenal if your a bourbon drinker. Hopefully you are a deep pocketed drinkers becuase most of the prices are over secondary listing. CYBP- 1k. STAGG 1k. Even Weller SR was 129. I was able to snag a heaven hill BIB that isn't available nationally for 45. So 3 stars if you know your values.

This place is HORRIBLE. Such bad attitude among the owner and staff. I was deciding what to buy one day, had a bottle in my hand and they literally tried to grab it out of my had while I was standing browsing for another bottle to buy as well. Then they looked at me like it was me who had the problem because I was perturbed that they did that. The owner and cashier staff are terrible and rude to customers. No customer appreciation whatsoever. I suggest Dr Wine. They are a thousand times better.

Awesome wine and liquor store! They have a great selection and friendly helpful staff. They also deliver! I am in the area often and they are open late. The prices are not bad either. Last week they didnt have the wine I was looking for and they ordered it and had it when I stopped back. I will definitely reccomend them. 5 stars!!

The worst liquor store on the upper east side. I've never encountered such rude people. The most overpriced and worst selection of bottles. Do yourselves a favor and stay away !

The wine was overpriced but most wine stores are in the UES.

Because life is too short for St Germain, when a better and cheaper elderflower liqueur is available, bitches. This mailbox sized shop has some of the friendliest most knowledgeable purveyors of liquor around. New to the neighborhood, this was an essential find.
