I love this place!! They have a HUGE selection of food--something for everyone, and everything is fairly priced. You truly get bang for your buck!! My husband and I love sushi and this has been our favorite spot for the last 7 years!! Definitely a hidden treasure in NWI!

This is our favorite place for Asian cuisine! Had an issue yesterday in that they forgot to put the egg rolls in when packing our order. They actually took the time to drive to my house to deliver them, and within a reasonable amount of time (we were still eating dinner). I'm not sure we are even in their delivery area, so I really appreciated it! I consider that pretty great customer service!

I visited dragon bowl tonight and I ordered Plain fried rice extra onion. I got my food into my dismay the rice was extra gummy and seem to be over cooked. I returned to the restaurant to request my order to be made over and when I received the new order it appeared to be the exact same way. The cashier told me "nothing is wrong, it's just you" . The owner approaches and says " what's wrong with it, it's rice" I explained to him and showed him the video that I recorded and he proceeded to tell me " GET YOUR MONEY AND DONT COME BACK HERE" then he literally THREW THE MONEY AT ME. I was surprised because I eat here every week and for them to treat a patronizing customer with such dismissive behavior is truly unacceptable. I would never place another order here. I never experience this before.

No dine in service, not even a chair to sit in while you wait for your food. There aren't a ton of recent reviews so it's hard to know about this place, but I was desperate for pad thai and thought I'd try the lunch special. I don't know what I was served, but it wasn't pad thai. It's as if someone was described what pad thai was and they mixed it with sweet and sour. I'm not going to lie, this wet mix of rice noodles, basil, zucchini, red pepper, and bean sprouts was okay. It would make a decent stir fry if you like it sweet, but it is Not pad thai. The lunch special included chopped iceberg in what I can only describe as watered down Russian dressing. From the looks of the place and the low volume lunch orders, I can't say that I'll be coming back to try another option, and I'll definitely not miss the sushi.

The food is great but the service and attitude when you pick up the food is awful. Never friendly!!!
You pay extra for additional soy sauce etc.,
They changed after covid!!

If I could give this place no stars I would! The absolute WORST Chinese food I have had in a long time ! Please PLEASE J's Peapod open soon again ! Because there will not be any more trying anything again from anywhere!! The egg rolls are dry and no flavor...lack of rice ...not even a decent portion ...the Mongolian Beef was missing peppers and mushrooms and other various vegetables that a normal MB has in it ...the only thing that was possibly edible was the Orange Chicken! Most disgusting Chinese food sooooo disappointed!!

My daughter loves sushi. Turned on family and friends to ordering. Some parts of Hammond they do delivery.

Waste of space as they are now only carry out... no dine in. Covid is over so not sure if they're understaffed or what. No explanation.

So first I will start off with this is not my first time at this location, as I have had ups and downs at this location.

My review is mainly for yesterday Sunday Sept 13, 2020

So My Lady and I decided to place and order with them since we were driving back home from Indy and did not want to make supper.

So we ordered the following:

Appetizers:
2 Orders of Egg Roll (Veggie)
2 Orders of Chicken Teriyaki on Stick
1 Healthy Salad Mango
1 House Soup - Wonton

Sushi:
1 White Dragon Roll
1 Chicago Moonlight Roll
1 Unagi-Q Roll
2 orders of Ika(Squid) Sushi pieces(brings 2 an order)

entrees / meals:
1 Order of Orange Chicken, was to coem with white rice, but got fried instead.

Drinks:
2 Smoothies - Coconut Pineapple

Overall our meal for Dinner was great, and yes of course we had left overs due to the amount of food we had, but it was worth it in our opinion.

We both can say with the orange chicken they make compared to others, we can actually taste the orange in their recipe, something we really like and appreciate, plus we enjoyed eating it the next day unlike others. It is not over fried and has a sweet taste but not over powering, just right.
Only issue with the order for orange chicken was I ordered white rice an got fried rice, but it was no big deal, just a preference was all, but I was not over charged so I let it go.

We both love their wonton soup, so it is something we tend to always order.

As for the Mango Salad It was not what I thought ti was going to be, just iceberg and mangos, so it was alright, but I personally liked the ginger dressing they had on it.

We both loves the Chicken Teriyaki on Stick, chicken had flavor and was real good, almost wishes I placed 3 orders lol.

Egg rolls had good flavor for veggie, we did get a free pork egg roll but I did not really care for the pork, but then again I rarely eat pork.

As for the sushi, we have not really had any big issues this year unlike we use to several years ago, so that will be a hit or miss at any establishment, but for now I can say we loved the rolls we orders yesterday. I just with they had more selections without cream cheese.

Only fair warning I can give is with the drinks, in the smoothies you are only allows 2 ingredients per order or it is extra, the coconut pinapple seems likes one option in the menu if ordered from their app, but it s actually 2 ingredients do not be fooled, as I was. Overall it is a good flavor for a smoothie.

Overall we loved the Chinese and Japanese we ordered and will definitely be back in the future.

I absolutely loved their sushi! So fresh and delicious. They were very fast to make the food. I was on a tight schedule and they made it work! Delicious delicious delicious! I won't be going anywhere else for sushi or sesame chicken.

Learn how to report your hours... I'm not sure why almost all most restaurants that have this kind of food is closed on Tuesdays but a lot of them know how to report what their hours are and what days they are closed so you do not end up having a not stop stream of people driving to your place. I'm the time it took to write this review 4 people pulled up to find out you are closed on Tuesday.

I don't live near this place either!
