I was involved in a rear end collision (a van hit my back bumper). I called my insurance agent Downey Insurance to inquire about opening a claim. The problem is nobody answered the phone so it went straight to voicemail. I left a VM to call me back. A day goes by and nobody called me back. I called again and I got sent to voicemail. Nobody ever called me back. I got fed up and drove to Downey Insurance's office location in Marlborough just to ask a simple question. The woman at the front desk gave me the wrong information and said I had to pay a $300 deductible for the damage if I opened a claim through them. I told her it wasn't my fault and I had all the other driver's license and insurance information. It was not a hit and run. She said I would still be responsible for a $300 deductible. I found out later by speaking to my insurance company directly that what she told me was not true. I wouldn't have to pay anything. I would not recommend this agency.

No one answers the phones. I called about a simple question and I got the computer voice phone transfer maze. So unprofessional this has happened more than once. I am switching...Never again.

Judy is amazing insurance agent she seems to always be the one with the answer when I have a slight issue I love this place always willing to work to keep the customers happy and insured haha check them out awesome

I am thankful to have met Charlie. He gets it. He is an adviser in the true sense of the word. When I called anonymously for a quote, he pointed out serious issues that needed to be looked into, instead of just giving me a cookie-cutter price. He dug into the reasons why I need to be insured--on the first call--what I need to be covered for, etc. Other insurance companies just wanted some numbers and contact info, then turned around a generic quote in a few days. Charlie asked the "why" type of questions that are going to protect my family and my assets, instead of just providing me with the ability to say that I'm insured. I found out that Charlie and his family have been active members of the community for decades and are rock-solid in their reputation. I look forward to bringing my total insurance needs to Charlie, since he is a gem in an industry that can be very numbers-oriented and may be missing his personal touch. PS, I did not know Charlie in any way before I contacted him, and this review is from a true customer, not someone Charlie knew previously. Thanks Charlie, Brian B., Hudson, MA.
