I didnt get a notification you were closing Distractions! Its been my dream to come to your store! Im so heartbroken by the news to see you left six months ago! Its been a challenge to get away from or just out of the valley. The last time i was able to go to San Francisco was with for my daughters 15th birthday. We barely had enough funds but we walked the streets and brosed before heading home. The time before that was in 2019 when i brought my love to see your store for the first time together. I took a photo of him next to your window at night because you had already closed! I should have tried to stop in on my daughters birthday 2022 too. I wish i had something from your store even if to cherish the memory of a place i never got to see.

This store is still open! Despite what "yelpers" say, they are still open and a great place to find fantastic and unique clothing. I bought a red velvet jacket that at 6'4" actually fit, and my daughter bought some cool tripp pants, and the prices were very reasonable.

When I came in today I had just wondered in not looking for anything in particular but after the amazing experience I had I will absolutely be back! Laura helped me pick out some items and was an absolute ray of sunshine! This store is filled with beautiful fun pieces and well priced accessories. 100/10 experience I absolutely say it's worth coming in!

We found lots of interesting costumes snd premium, well-made hats. We will be back for special accessories.

Glad to see this place is still around and survived the lockdown. I used to frequent this place in the 90s and the owner Jim was always friendly to everyone. He is a true San Francisco native and his story of starting out as a young entrepreneur in SF is interesting, he's lived the real San Francisco experience when San Francisco was at its height of creativity. He changes the theme of the store to stay fresh, and I can't wait to see what theme he will choose next for the store to transform into.

came in here with my friends a few weeks ago and the customer service was amazing. the lady at the front helped my friend tie her corsets and taught her all about sizing and how to style them, which i thought was sweet. we were looking for a place in SF that sells nice corsets, and we were happy we found this place! thank you for having us!

Great store with a good selection of steampunk and burner clothes! Laura, helped us and she was amazing! She was super helpful with style and sizes and was having a lot of fun with all the customers in the stores. She helped us get an entire steampunk ensemble including a beautiful hat and other accessories! Prices are reasonable!

My girlfriend and I live in Beijing and were here this week visiting and stepped into Distractions. I won't go into details but we had a problem with an item we bought and had to come back. The staff met us halfway and a solution was found. Customer service goes a long way with me.

Great shop, just check out your item carefully before you buy because there is a strict no returns policy, even if you find a factory defect on your item after the fact!

This shop is amazing. They have such awesome products yet also still reasonably priced. Lots of steampunk and victorian options available here.

There are so many products, it's hard to focus and it's a bit tight in the shop.

The employees were super busy the day I went and I was short on time so I didn't get to buy anything sadly.
