Pleasant ambience, but contemporary atmosphere and white linen cannot make up for bland, un-inspired fare.

Went for lunch on a rainy Saturday and was delighted that the restaurant had only a few patrons. Gorgonzola Chips were ordered as a starter, and while the cheesy "fondue" portion of the appetizer was delicious, the kettle-style potato chips were anything but. Blatantly missing was the single most craveable characteristic of chips - saltiness. If one is on a low-sodium diet, one might purposely select a lower sodium option; however, for those of us that opt for a good potato chip, we expect, desire, and need a salty chip. Hence, Gorgonzola Chips were quite disappointing.

For the main course, I selected the Pan-fried Perch with Green Beans Almondine and Potato Wedges. Little did I imagine that more disappointment was in store. While the presentation and overall look of my plate was quite pleasing, the lack of flavor was not. The perch tasted as if it had been dredged in plain white flour; I detected no seasoning whatsoever. And while the potato wedges appeared to be wonderfully caramelized, they were lackluster without a hint of even the simplest of seasoning such as garlic, salt, pepper, etc. The only saving grace was the remoulade, which I used on EVERYTHING, and the green beans.

Two other people in my party (both ordered a steak {?} sandwich) commented that their food was 'okay'. Not 'good', just 'okay'. The other person in my party ordered the Lemon Herb Crab Cakes and the Crisp Arugula salad. While she ate both crab cakes, she only ate toppings off her salad and sent the remainder back. Later, she remarked that she will never visit The Dish again.

Lastly, the service was merely adequate. Our server (who I believed to be the owner) was neither welcoming nor enthusiastic. At the end of our meal, she did not offer a dessert option, she did not ask how our meal was, and she did not thank us for our patronage. Had she asked us about our meal, I would have been frank with her and would have foregone this written review.

From my understanding, The Dish has had a few management turnovers. While past reviews have been splendid, this experience has stayed with me for days. And not in a good way, but more like an angry 'I can't believe I wasted money and calories' kind of way.

From appetizers to dessert is was well rounded. The lamb kabobs are not gamey at all, the short ribs was a bit dry, I prefer the meat more moist because it was braised. The shoe string fries are flimsy not crispy enough for my taste. The decor is neutral tone, furniture is simple and inviting. Free parking in the lot out front.

I do not patronize Mayor Roundabout's diners. Food lousy. Service slow. Menu outdated.

The locals highly suggested Dish. It was presented it me as a "high end" spot for the area and delicious. We were super excited to try however, sadly, it was not good...at all.

The bread basket contained white bread and pretzel pieces. Bread was not warm. Both not good. The butter was very sweet.

We ordered the french onion to begin. As this is a soup that is generally a safe go to dish that one would think cannot go wrong...well no...we were wrong...it had no cheese and the bread inside the bowl was hard.

The crab cakes were okay. However, they failed to provide a dish for the crab cakes. We to had place it on the bread plate which wasn't functional as the bread was falling off.

The so called "carbonara" had no eggs or cheese.
Basically NO flavor to be honest. The pasta was clumpy and sticking to each other.

Our friends were equally unhappy with the whole experience.

Not worth the time or money at all.

Our group of 8 had a wonderful lunch at Dish Restaurant! Everyone who had the box lunch really enjoyed them. The soup was excellent and so were the cheese cake and carrot cake desserts. The staff were super friendly and very attentive. We had a semi private room which was also appreciated. The menu had a nice selection and we will definitely be dining there again.

Ask for the dessert menu to start!! Then decide your main course! The food is terrific and the service is better. Wine list offers a reasonable selection at practical price points. The crab cakes are wonderful, salads are plentiful, and the entrees are well prepared.
We stopped in late afternoon and the full menu was available.
Highly recommend crème brûlée, cheesecake and bread pudding!

Upscale restaurant with a casual setting where the food is reasonably priced, the cocktails tasty and the staff friendly and down to earth. A diamond not taken advantage of. Some people incorrectly think it is pricey and snobbish, lol just the opposite! You wouldn't be sorry!
Just had the tart cherry cheese cake, delicious
