Online it shows you will do currency exchange that is why I called. I need to buy euros for an upcoming trip and was told that I need to get them at the airport where the fees are astronomical. Please remove your page online as you do not exchange currency.

I love these guys. The reason I signed up with them is because they have a 1% foreign transaction fee. Let me say that again 1% foreign transaction fee. Everybody else has at least 3% if you withdraw cash overseas plus the ATM fees. So for a $100 withdraw overseas you're looking at the following:
$2.50-$3.50 withdraw fee from your home institution
$2.50-$3.50 withdraw fee from the ATM you're using
So that's $5.00-$7.00 just for touching your own cash
Then it's 3% of the amount you withdraw. In this case it's $3.
So out of your $100 withdraw You will take home
$90 if you're lucky.
With these guys I just tell them in advance I'm going overseas and they will exchange my US currency and charge me 1%. They also have a US base telephone system which when you're in say China or somewhere and your mandarin sucks (like mine) and you need to speak to someone that speaks English with regards to your money? ya you want to talk to these guys. Also they have an ATM at Hartsfield!! hurrah for that!!Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - K.M H.Alpharetta, GA87330321Sep 5, 2013First to Review
After being charged over $1600.00 in service charges from Suntrust, in less then 3 months, and a string of bad experiences from Wells Fargo.. I had my fill of Mainstream banks and their BS.
My mom recommended that I try her credit union. so I figured i didn't have much to lose. I went to suntrust, closed my account withdrew my money and off we went.
We were immediately greeted by the front desk, he asked what we needed, I told him and he walked us back to a representative. She asked what I was looking for in a bank and why I had chosen them, i let her know the issues I had with suntrust and their lack of caring, and she laid out what they had to offer on the table, and i asked her where do i sign? She went and printed my bank card, and my checks. we talked a few more minutes and we were off.
I look at my balance fairly often, and about 90 days I saw there was more money in the account then I thought there should have been. called the CU and they let me know there was a $25.00 Thank you for your business credit! DO WHAT?! A bank A) thanking me, and B) GIVING ME money?? Pfffffffft.
Its been right about a year now, and I dont have a single ragret* ( not a single letter haha) Sorry- No regrets :) They always make sure to honor the first in first out system and i never get charged overages for the bank mis viewing that my deposit clearly came in 4 hours before a bill pulled.... no shady crap. and they give you a sliding scale for overdrafts, i think the first one is free, the second one is 20, then 25 then 30. their fraud department is also on the ball, they froze my card when they saw actuvity that was not legit and called me immediatley.
As i said I have a very bitter taste left in my mouth from mainstream banks and as long as credit unions are around they will have my business. They take the time to actually CARE about their customers.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
