Great service and great food. If you are looking for a nice hearty Midwest steak, this is your spot! My girlfriend and I got the kona coffee crusted ribeye and it was amazing. The coffee brings a total different dimension to the steak and is delicious! We asked for the chef to split our meal and we both left satisfied. With the steak you get one side, so we went with the bourbon mashed sweet potatoes. Let's just say my plate was spotless after. I'm sure any of the sides are amazing if it's anything like the sweet potatoes. Enjoy!

I'm glad we have this option in Rapid City. I've had mostly great experiences here with usually excellent food. On two occasions, the food wasn't great. It had more to do with the staffing issues we are experiencing in this area than the effort made. Every other time I've been there the good leaves a very positive impression on your mind. The customer service and attentiveness of the staff is impeccable. You can tell they're always trying to improve, and I for one appreciate the effort.

HIGHLY overrated.
Service was slow - slow- slow
Brushetta was dry- dry- dry
Salmon was overcooked
The only thing saving the review from 1 star was that my husband's ribeye was good. Otherwise, there was absolutely no redeeming quality for the dining experience. We should have stayed at the firehouse across the street and had a burger. We would have enjoyed it more and saved $150.00.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1 - Violet G.Santa Monica, CA0146Apr 15, 2024
Stopped by for dinner, had the salmon plate and a burger. It was very good and tasted fresh. The ambience and service were good!

Ambiance and service was excellent. William is the host and he was extremely welcoming and offered plenty of recommendations regarding food, town and visiting options!!
Katie was our server and she was attentive and excellent at her recommendations as well.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 2, 2023
I mean, if you run out of your signature cut, don't expect us to rescue you in our review. Instead we had the ribeye which was... not great for the price.
The moral of this story - if your name is Delmonico Grill, don't run out of the Delmonico steak. Especially if you're serving New Yorker's looking for a taste of home...Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Lendall M.WHT SETTLEMT, TX299Jul 4, 2023
We were running about 10 mins late due to traffic coming from the Crazy Horse Monument... We were a little "hangry" from being out and about all day. The waitress, wine, and food were good. The waitress quickly served our drinks and answered any questions about the menu.
We had the Cauliflower Steak with Succotash-Stuffed Avocado as a starter... this is a vegetarian entree, but I wanted to try it plus have a steak. This was a huge plate of food and all the flavors complimented each other perfectly.
I had the Dolphin Street ribeye and my wife had salmon.
Everything was wonderful.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mark R.Huntington Beach, CA51192Sep 20, 2023
2 stars is a little bit of a stretch but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. A fine dining steak house that doesn't know what a Cosmopolitan is should have been the first clue. Cheese plate was good. Took forever to get our salads. Wedge was good after paying extra for blue cheese and bacon lardons.
Server came back to say they were out of baked potatoes. Not sure how that happens at a steak house in the mid west. Dinner took another 45 minutes to arrive. Server kept blaming it on the kitchen.
$109 Delmonico steak was medium instead of medium rare as ordered and super dry. Friend's filet ordered rare was medium and dry. Mashed potatoes were oily and flavorless.
Total dinner took 2.5 hours. Despite server saying she'd comp us some items all we got was a mediocre creme brûlée for free
Manager never came to the table once.
If I'm Rapid City, try someplace different.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 3, 2023
Service certainly makes a big difference! On The active Friday night when we reserved the table, the restaurant was full. That was a good sign to start. Our server Caleb came over right away, and I could just feel that his attention was going to make this a pleasant evening. I had the French onion soup and ribeye steak with asparagus, and my wife had the prime rib with a wedge salad. Both meals were very tasty, and we'd certainly revisit this restaurant if we lived in the area. We enjoyed it so much that we took a piece of cheesecake to go, which we enjoyed a few hours later. Overall it is a bit higher priced than most restaurants, but for our experience, the price point of about $90 per person all-in including appetizers, dinners, dessert, drinks and tips/tax made this a reasonable value.

I went here to for a nice birthday dinner celebration. The food was fantastic. The filet was delicious, and I loved the bourbon sweet potatoes. The French onion soup was one of the best I've ever had. Onions were sweet, and the broth was an excellent flavor. It a pricy dinner but worth it.

My meal was very underwhelming! I began with the French onion soup, which was average at best. It lacked the saltiness and buttery richness that I typically look for. For my main course, I ordered the Kona-rubbed ribeye, but it was also disappointing. The meat didn't seem to be of high quality, and the Kona coffee rub didn't add much flavor to the steak. Additionally, the seasonal vegetables that I ordered as a side were small and forgettable.
While the service was fine, I was a little disappointed that my server didn't know if the steak was prime or what grade of beef it was, but she was pleasant nonetheless.
Overall, I guess it's okay, but I won't go out of my way to come back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
