Deli Mill

This is a lunch spot I like to go to when I am in town. It is close to my office and even though they have big lines most days around lunch time, they process the question really efficiently and it only usually takes a few minutes from the back of the line to get your food and go.

There are a couple of items I like from them that I will go out of my way to get. Every Wednesday they have a buffalo wrap special and it is pretty good. I recommend asking for a"double" or "Jumbo" wrap where they basically double your meat in the wrap.

The other go to is their, "Peasant" which is thanksgiving between two slices of bread. It consists of turkey meat, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. If they have any left, I recommend asking for it on home made white or wheat bread as this is a thicker bread and makes for a heartier meal.

The other nice thing about the Mill is they take credit cards. Some lunch places in down town don't and I really find that annoying.

Wednesday's special, the Buffalo chicken wrap, still the best i've had to date.

Solid place that serves good sandwiches, but what kicks this review to five stars is the Wednesday special, the Buffalo chicken wrap. If there were a list of the area's best sandwiches, this would be in the top ten. Crispy, spicy, creamy -- it's as good as people say. But is a wrap really a sandwich? That's a question for another day. Pro tip: Get there at 11:50 and avoid the rush.

Love love love the Deli Mill. Reasons: 1) affordable; 2) fast; 3) nice; 4) Wednesday's buffalo chicken wrap special. Seriously- the line can go out the door on Wednesdays! I like their roast beef sandwich as well. You get a choice of sides and my fav is the potato salad. They take credit card and will get you in and out fast, even when they are packed. I've had an egg sandwich in the AM and it was fine. Been meaning to try the hot reuben (Monday special) but they said it would take ten minutes so I need to go back another day when I am not rushed.

I found this deli by accident....what a great, awesome deli! So reasonable and food is great, clean and staff is quick and friendly!! Awesome!!

Buffalo chicken wraps and salads are the special on Wednesdays. This is the only day they're served. You've never had buffalo chicken like this in your life!!! The guys that work there are also great and will always remember your order.

The food here is great, I've been going here for years. Had the buffalo chicken wrap today and it was superb.

As for the atmosphere, I thought the guys behind the counter were efficient and personable. I have never heard anything like Sara describes; I would hate for someone to see that comment and be put off going to this great deli, simply because one customer once heard something she found offensive.

This place is a gem in Albany. I recently started a job in Downtown Albany and really could not figure out where the good affordable quick lunches were. Well, this is the place. Most of there items are around 6.00 and all fresh. They also make their sandwiches on homemade bread that they slice as they make your sandwich to order. Each sandwich comes with a small side salad that is also made there and awesome. I often get the Harvest Salad which is 5.50 and has lettuce, almonds, feta, egg, tomatoes and craisans. The down side is that if you can not walk here it is a cobble road that does not let cars on it so you need to find a place to park on Pearl or Broadway.

Went here for the buffalo chicken Wednesday deal. I walk in and see the place crowded. Everyone had buffalo chicken. They do both wraps and salads for the buffalo chicken. I did the wrap with ranch. Before even eating it I can tell its gonna be a good sandwich because they do not skimp on the meat...this sandwich is jam packed! The sandwich was so good!! Buffalo sauce was a perfect combo of sweet and spicy and chicken was nice and crispy.

went in to get sandwich for lunch today. roastbeef too pink. more lettuce than meat. plus, found out they weigh portions of meat before they put it on sandwich. service was good. just a poor sandwich.
