This is an add on to my previous review. My doctor mistakenly sent a prescription into CVS yesterday. Because of really bad service I swore 2 weeks ago I would never use CVS again. According to the clerk inside, the pharmacy window hasn't been open for weeks. Yesterday the drive through was at least 12 cars deep. I did not attempt. I called my doctor to have my RX sent to another pharmacy. I was told it may take a few days. So reluctantly I am waiting in a line with 7 cars ahead of me. 10 minutes ago it was 9. The store closes in 40 minutes. I just may make it.
The Walgreens's across the street is open inside as well as the drive through is moving at quick pace. Will try them next time.
Anywhere but CVS!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 11, 2022Previous reviewMy doctor's office called in an antiviral prescription for Covid to hopefully lesson the severity. 3 1/2 hours later my prescription still says "in processing". Called the store and waited on hold for an hour and 40 minutes to speak with someone and no one answered the phone. The 24 hour store was closing at 9:00 so I drive to the store to in hopes I could pick up my prescription. There were six cars in line at the drive-through 27 minutes before closing and the inside pharmacy counter is closed.
Has CVS forgotten they are trying to take care of sick people during a pandemic?
Say what you will about not able to find staff. Simply not answering the phone instead of giving false hope that someone may actually be able to help. Keeping their website up-to-date with actual hours would also be better customer service. Updating Yelp with business hours would also be better customer service. All of these things require no additional staff.
It is time that we hold pharmacies accountable for the health care they are licensed to carry out. If you have had similar experiences call your state attorney generals office and your health insurance provider. Pharmacies that post hours in large neon letters on their buildings, on websites and apps have prescriptions locked up for days and are ransoming our health for corporate profits. - Emily G.KY, KY01Dec 6, 2022
They don't even deserve a 1 star. The line is always at least 10 cars , you will be waiting for a good hour or longer. The inside is NEVER OPEN. Staff are friendly , but you think they would hire some more people ???
The wait is ridiculous when people need their medications. This place over all absolutely SUCKS!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chris E.Louisville, KY1606Nov 30, 2022
2 days in a row I stopped in to pick up a prescription for a family member.
Both times (5 pm on a weekday), the inside pharmacy was not open and you had to go through the drive through.
It is the slowest service I have ever had. Almost 90 minutes each time. And this is not the first issue I had with them.
This is the worst pharmacy in the city.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 9, 202036 check-ins
Althought their prices are high as a heroin addict, they are open 24/7 during the COVID-19 pandemic hysteria.
The staff is friendly and helpful and try to de-stress all customers who cross their door threshold.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jan 12, 2018
The highest praise I can pay them is to simply thank them for being open on Christmas day.
I spent most of Christmas day at Immediate Care. Diagnosis: full blown flu. High fever, bad cough. I left with prescriptions for Tamiflu and Rx cough pearls, with the lowdown on the two open pharmacies that day. This CVS and the Walgreens kitty-corner to it. We stopped at CVS, because it was on the right side of the street for us.
I dropped off my prescriptions with an older female pharmacist. She left shortly after entering my prescriptions. The younger male pharmacist was already overwhelmed and became even moreso, as all of the sickies I had shared the Immediate Care waiting room with came in with medicine needs.
I was soon informed that they had absolutely no Tamiflu, they suggested I call across the street to Walgreens (also out of stock) while they still filled my other Rx. The pharmacist called a name several times, not mine, before getting my attention and waving me over. He wasn't calling MY name because the lady had entered my prescriptions under another person's name and record completely. How....HOW?!
So I had to wait even longer for the mistake to be fixed, and still not leave with the medicine I actually needed....from an overwhelmed pharmacist who then began complaining about how you "can't trust the old ones" (referring to his older coworker who entered all the information wrong). Not particularly professional.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - The N.Louisville, KY55228331Apr 9, 2017First to Review
Hate to say the area has anything to do with this CVS. But the area has everything to do with this CVS.
A lot of items are "locked up" due to high theft. When they are busy, good luck. It will take 20 minutes for an employee to assist you.
As for employees, expect a long wait if busy. There could be 12 people in line and you are lucky if they open up that second cashier register.
Clean store. Just never enough help.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan Michael W.Louisville, KY20521May 8, 2019
Great facility. People are always nice and service is great. Not sure what other reviewers mean by the area. We've owned a house in this area for over two years now and it's a great area. Friendly people, safe, beautiful houses, it's a great area. Don't believe everything you read.
