Cutting Edge Drapery

Cutting Edge is everything the name implies! I needed fast and sturdy blinds for a rental property and I didn't want the dated-looking faux wood blinds from a big box store. Then Rick entered and took over the measuring, providing samples and thorough installation! He kept me posted all the along the way - and I have now referred Cutting Edge to several of my clients! Can't go wrong!

This 5-star review is for Mike's reasonable approach to resolving potential conflict. The guys were pleasant and did their best, but we needed a few kinks worked out. Mike listened and met us in the middle, and we're genuinely impressed and relieved. We're excited to see our vision come to fruition.

BUYER BEWARE. I hired Cutting Edge to install custom motorized roller shades in my home in 2016. I caution you from trusting any 5 star reviews because they threatened to withhold my refund if I wrote a bad review.

I ended up suing Cutting Edge for their shoddy work and was awarded the full refund including court costs from the judge. Their installer permanently damaged my brand new window frames by drilling over 100 holes during the "fitting phase" and Cutting Edge's "custom" design solution for my windows was a joke. The total project was quoted over $18K.

I tried tirelessly to get this issue fixed for 11 months. Cutting Edge (Dan, Gavin, and Mike) were rude, unprofessional, and as I mentioned above, tried to bully me. I did my own research and found a proper mounting and bracket solution which I presented to Cutting Edge as a possible cure. They rejected the solution and told me it wouldn't work. After months of waiting (and with these unsightly improper shades on my windows) I went ahead with another installer and ordered the correct brackets. When I let Cutting Edge know this they snidely remarked that if in fact what we ordered worked they would refund my money and send me a "$500 gift certificate to the restaurant of my choice". For the record, this solution worked and is beautiful. I have yet to receive said gift certificate.

We first dealt with Gavin back in 2012 with our new addition to our resident, it was not a big job
But we were really happy with the result and quality of workmanship. This past week we decided to let Gavin to finish the rest of our home with motorized shades and our restaurant.

The installers Cody and Derek arrived at 6 am as promised and worked throughout the day and the results were amazing we highly recommend this company for the latest motorized or regular shades. They even service a motorized shade they installed back in 2012 at no charge. I would give them 6 stars If I can, my hat off to Cutting Edge Drapery!!!

You will not find a better company for your drapery or shade needs. I contacted Gavin of Cutting Edge Drapery in San Francisco to give us an estimate for the new drapery at St. Cecilia's Church. Within a couple of days he came to measure, brought samples of fabric, and I had their estimate. They have now completed our project, replacing three of the panels. They are extremely courteous and very professional. Their work is impeccable! So refreshing to see that quality of workmanship still exists today. They have really made a showplace of our beautiful altar. I cannot say enough about their installation crew. Mike was always on time and willing to please. I am so happy I found them - you will not be disappointed.

Mike could not help me with a small residential job but he provided excellent and thorough advice. I really appreciated his time and forthrigthness.

I recently had them make roll down shades (1% open) for my apartment's 6 windows and am very happy with the finished product. They are great to deal with, polite and professional.

I've used Cutting Edge for two Mecho shades on Somfy systems. They arrive on time, get the job done right and they do it pretty fast. Highly recommended.

I contacted cutting edge drapery for some shades for the my company office. Not only did they come the next day to give a quote, but they provided us with the quote the same day! Within a couple of weeks the drapes were here and their installer was extremely professional and efficient.
