Simple Ice cream shop but the best java chip ice cream I have ever had. The employee was super nice. It is a no frills shop but awesome ice cream none the less!

This is an adorable little ice cream shop right in Harbour town. They've got a handful of flavors and toppings you can add. We went there two separate times while we were in the area. I got monster cookie both times we were there and I LOVED it.
Everyone loved there ice cream. Service was good. All the staff was friendly. There's not much room inside go sit aside from a few stolls looking out. But it's adorable none the less. Definitely recommend going here!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 10, 2014
Cups & Cones is a small ice cream parlor and coffee shop located just beneath the lighthouse at Harbour Town. The shop stocks a dozen different flavors of Blue Bunny Ice Cream. When I visited a couple weeks ago, the flavors were:
Mint Chocolate Chip
Vanilla Bean
Rocky Road
Butter Pecan
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
Chocolate
Cinnamon
Peanut Butter & Fudge
Birthday Cake
Cookies & Cream
Strawberry Cheesecake
Chocolate Brownie Extreme
I sampled almost every flavor and liked them all. There wasn't a bad flavor. In order, my top three favorites were Birthday Cake, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Chocolate Brownie Extreme. Honorable mention goes to Peanut Butter & Fudge. The Birthday Cake ice cream tasted like white cake and had blue frosting and candy swirls. As a fan of Coldstone Creamery's Birthday Cake Remix, I was very pleased with Cups & Cones' (Blue Bunny's) classic version.
I'm glad I sampled the Chocolate Brownie Extreme because it was excellent. I ended up getting a scoop of it along with some others. If you like rich chocolate brownies, the flavor really comes through in the ice cream here. Same goes for the Peanut Butter & Fudge if you like fudge. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough is an all-time favorite of mine ever since I was a kid. How can you go wrong with cookie dough ice cream? Blue Bunny's rendition has mint chocolate chip cookie dough pieces inside of it.
On top of that, the ice cream looks beautiful. Check out this photo: http://instagram.com/p/v7EesmQBtB/
I think this was my first experience with Blue Bunny Ice Cream. It's good! It's a relatively lighter, softer ice cream. It reminds me of some brands you can find at the grocery store, but I don't mean that in a bad way. It's hard to find bad ice cream. The ice cream isn't exceptionally rich nor creamy, it's more silky and airy. I like it.
Prices for ice cream scoops in a cup or cone were as follows:
Single - $3.50
Double - $6.00
Triple - $7.00
The portion sizes are quite generous. I don't think I've been to an ice cream parlor that serves scoops so big. You certainly get your money's worth.
Waffle cones and sundaes cost extra. Toppings include strawberries, peanuts, pecans, sprinkles, hot fudge, chocolate syrup, and caramel sauce. Other treats include ice cream cookie sandwiches, brownie sundaes, milkshakes, malts, and "Syberian Chills." On the beverage side, you can get coffee (hot or iced), espresso, cappuccino, a latte, and hot chocolate, tea, and apple cider (seasonal).
Cups & Cones is the official ice cream shop of the Sea Pines Resort. The employees who work here work for Sea Pines. Our server was Daryl, interning from the Philippines, and she was great. Very friendly.
There's limited seating inside and outside the shop. Your best bet is to enjoy your ice cream while walking around Harbour Town or sitting in one of the rocking chairs by the dock.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Apr 15, 2014First to Review
Cups and Cones is A-OK. No complaints. Good ice cream, and especially good when sandwiched between two of their wickedly-awesome chocolate chip cookies.
Service was friendly and quick. Prices were reasonable for the amount of ice cream you get. My wife and I should have shared one of the ice cream cookie sandwiches because they were ginormous.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 8, 2018
The ice cream was good but the prices were ridiculously high and the portions were TINY. Everyone in my group got a single scoop, but it seemed as though they sized the scoops to how much they thought that person would eat......would not return because there are plenty of other spots in the area.

My son was so happy to get back to cups & cones this summer. He talked about it all year. We were very disappointed that they closed so early each day and they were out of chocolate ice cream nearly the entire week! We got their one night right as they were closing and they didn't want to serve us. I mean really , what is 2 more people in the grand scheme of things?

Straight rip off! 3.50 for a "snow cone" that comes in a tiny water cooler cup. Straight rip off! The ice cream was gross and partially melted when I got it. I'm sure rent is expensive for this little place, but come on man...give the customer something for their money.

Total disaster. Inferior ice cream to others in Harbour Town. Routinely close 15 minutes early. Must not need the business.
Only thing they have going for them is a cute name.
Sorry - skip it.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
