food is good not amazing. if you really want food take it to go.
the service sucks there is one guy that is very nice but him and the girl switch. we had a question for him and all she said was hes in the back. As if it would've been hard for her to let him come out to answer. She was complaining and bitching about another family that had visited the restuarant
very unprofessional. she spoke both English and spanish but acted as if she only knew spanish when I asked a question in English. very rude and didnt check on our drinks until we had to call her over from gossiping.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 23, 2023
Three stars at most, not what one expects when ordering sushi from this establishment, but should have known better. Regardless, it was worth the try and will not be returning nor recommending any to visit. Expected the chili lrelleno to be stuffed with cheese, but it was cold imitation crab with an overwhelming amount of mayo. Service was average, but required flagging down an employee to bring over a menu.

I've been coming here off and on for years. Although I used to absolutely love the rolls here before. So much so that I would drive a long way for this craving. I feel like the taste of this food has gone a bit south. Nothing tasted as good as I remembered it from previous times. The prices are really high, but it never matters for exceptional food. It mattered this time. The best part about this meal was only the chili that came with the food.
The cashier was great. The server was great. They all seemed authenticity happy to be there they even packaged my food nicely and spill free. The only thing that kinda bugged me was seeing them prepare the food without gloves. Especially when I saw them touching chicken in the kitchen and mixing stuff in a bowl. Maybe it's just me, but it bothered me.
This location is family-friendly and date night friendly. I saw 2 big families there enjoying each other and their meals. I also saw a couple enjoying a date night. The location of this place is in a sketchy area with a lot of homeless people around. It is also a bit hard to find parking in this place because it shares the location with other businesses, so parking is scarce.
Unless the food gets as good as it used to be, this might be the last time I order anything from here. I'm sad because I used to love this place so much.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - 22110337May 28, 2023
My mom picked this place after she saw it when going to the store with my dad. My mom, sister, and I decided to give it a try.
The location is small and it was a bit warm inside. We sat down and waited about 10 min for someone to give us a menu. Then we waited another 10ish min for our drink order to be taken. My mom was hungry so we told him we were ready to order. He said he'd be back and returned about 5min later. He said it was just him at the register and also waiting tables.
He helped us decide on an appetizer so that was nice of him! Our food finally came, but it was already almost an hour from the time we walked in. My sister had the shrimp tacos, but was unable to finish them due to how spicy they were. (Her spice tolerance is pretty high). My mom loved her baked sushi roll and I was a huge fan of the Hot Cheetos roll.
The food was overall pretty good, but the experience wasn't the best for a first impression.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Raquel O.Covina, CA2142Sep 20, 2023
Delicious! Quick and courteous service I ordered the Yakimeshi rice bowl and it did not disappoint. Never had it before but it was so tasty. Warm rice with beef, chicken and shrimp ,vegetables in a teriyaki sauce topped with imitation crab, avocado and shredcarrot. I couldn't finish it as it was a big portion. And the price of $15.00 was very affordable.

I work in Pomona and like to support local businesses when eating lunch but this place is just sad. When I arrived the guy at the counter was too busy talking to the guy preparing the sushi to even notice me. I waited a couple minutes until I finally had to wave to the guy he was talking to for them to notice me. I got the sushi & it WASN'T even cut into individual rolls. It was just one huge roll & I was stuck at work with no way to cut them down to portion sizes. The sides were small and just tossed into there with no care whatsoever. Sushi wasn't good and just an overall waste of $, not to mention the overpriced food/drinks. I won't be coming back.

This place is sucks i found a hair in my rice and I saw a roach in the bathroom I don't even know what the kitchen looks like. The location is so bad it's really a run down neighborhood and it doesn't feel safe I would not recommend risking your life for hair to be in your food.

Food was good, nice presentation. They did mess up on one of our items, we ordered Teryaki with shrimp tempura roll and they brought us Teryaki with chicken. We ate one piece each (2 pieces) before realizing it wasn't shrimp and asked for them to redo it with shrimp please. They did redo it, however they still charged us for it. We didn't find out until we were getting into the car, we ordered alot. I should of payed more attention to our bill, but they did remove it eventually, after having to explain the obvious, they put chicken instead of shrimp.. kinda ruined the experience really. Service was good until we had to have that conversation, I did still tip $20 cash on a $90 bill... corrected to $74 bill...

WARNING!
They charge $10 if you pay with a card, I'm sure this is illegal. Also the worst service ever. Rude waiter who never checked on us once. We had to keep getting up to ask for drink refill, more sauce, tostadas and bill. This use to be one of our favorite places, It's under new management and they absolutely suck! Will never be backHelpful 5Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Oct 3, 2019
I was SO excited to find a restaurant nearby that had yakimeshi. I drove 20 minutes from my hotel in Rancho Cucamonga to get yakimeshi and was unpleasantly surprised. The restaurant is in the back of an odd plaza and is dimly lit (and to be honest, sketchy) outside. The inside decor was interesting but trying a little too hard to be social media cool. If you've seen it you know what I mean.
Th young lady at the front was nice and helpful as I asked about a few of the menu items. I'll be honest, this is the weirdest assortment of sushi I've ever seen. Check the menu... I'll wait. I decide to get the ultimate yakimeshi and once I open it I'm excited by the presentation. That's where the experience came to a full stop. The sauce wasn't good but the meal was drenched in it. I decide to try to eat around it but the rice underneath the imitation crab meat was dry and bland. That explains why the cover the food in sauce, it's the only flavor (albeit bad) you're going to get. I ended up throwing 90% of it away, there was no saving the yakimeshi. The reviews got me excited to try this place and I was disappointed. Hoping to find good yakimeshi next time I'm in town.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 5Oh no 2
