It has been a long time since I have donated plasma and things have definitely changed since then. This location is pretty clean and organized when you first go in and do your physical etc.. It goes relatively quickly if you do some of the stuff online first when you arrive you will do your health questions and do your check in and then stand in line, I would have to say my only complaint is the lack of seats. For those of us that are older, and have arthritis standing for an hour or so, can really be traumatic on one's knees. I mentioned this before, but no one really had a reason why they don't have chairs.
I do think that the phlebotomist and the front and people are pretty nice and caring and also are trained pretty well because sometimes I have gotten people who stick me and don't do well. At this location I haven't had that issue at all. They definitely check back with you. They're open to you asking questions , overall so far it has been a really good experience. One additional thing to note is that they have newer machines, so the actual process goes very quickly. Once you get connected I spend no more than 30 minutes there.

I have been to this location several times during the new member period of plasma donation when your payments are the highest. It was a very rocky start, they say you should budget 3 hours for your first appointment since it includes a full physical. It took a little over 4 hours for me due a clerical error that really messed up the process. Unlike at other donation centers I'm used to, no snacks or drinks are provided. I'm not sure if this is a result of covid, but be prepared, especially for that first appointment, you do not want to be hungry by the time they finally stick you. Your first time is also very confusing/disorienting as there are so many different "stations" you travel back and forth to get set up.

Also note that plasma donations take considerably longer than a typical pint donation. Bring headphones or a book or you will be very bored.

Sometimes the lines can be very long and other times there's no wait at all. I've heard it's usually a bit less busy towards the beginning of the month. The staff is all very friendly, except there is a security guard of some sort who really creeped me out.

Ultimately, I much prefer to donate blood at the Red Cross or Versiti. It's quicker and less painful since you can't go as often/don't have to go as often to earn the incentives. But if you could use the extra cash, then this is an adequate option.

Generally I have good experience in this location. It does get crowded and line gets long on weekends during the day so you should go weekday night or mornings on weekends.
Staff are generally friendly and they make my experience as painless as possible. I have seen a couple people behaving unprofessionally while performing work, but compared to other locations I think this is the most reliable and efficient one.
You definitely want to bring a jacket as it is very cold inside the building.

I've been coming to this location recently and am generally pleased with how my experience has been. Cayla especially has consistently been a wonderful asset to this company and to me whenever she is my phlebotomist.
Lately I know the phlebotomists have been working hard and times have been more slow, however I do know they are hard working and diligent in their work.
I see you all working hard and despite the negative comments you get from "long wait times" I know there is little you can do.
I see you all and appreciate everyone of you! Thank you.

This is my worst experience ever coming here. The manager stuck me so hard I screamed out loud. They had to take me off the machine early. Then they turned around and deferred me for seven days. I only got half of my blood back. I have never had this happen to me before. I even started getting cramps in my feet and legs.

i asked if they could repeat the hematocrit screening bc her glasses were all fogged up and she couldn't see anything with the face mask on because of the glare from the light and I know you need to be able to see a small line to put it in the system. she immediately said no and never gave a reason as to why. not sure why since I have been a loyal customer but the attitude should have been better. If you come on a busy day you will wait 20 minutes to get disconnected with your hand raised like a child. they should have the systems that show green when finished not just go down the line from who started first. I always finish fast and still wait.
