No matter what you do, call Omar first! Omar did not give us a pitch, he gave us an education that we could use on additional quotes to make an informed decision. Omar will spend as much time as necessary explaining how and when solar works, what mounting hardware (important here for both roof integrity and wind loading), the types of panels available at price points, inverters vs. micro inverters, etc. After doing my own research, we went with black LG panels and Enphase micro-inverters as recommended by Omar and couldn't be happier. Melissa in the office handled the HOA and net-metering, and Jeremy's team did a high quality install in 2 days, carefully arranging the interface equipment and choosing the optimal placement of the riser conduit with aesthetics in mind. We were up and running in under 3 weeks, with a 1 week pause waiting for HOA paperwork. Again, I would urge you to make Omar your first call, the education he provides will be invaluable as you work through your evaluation process.

Recently had our solar system installed. Omar is so knowledgeable on all things solar. We almost contracted with another company who were sub par, so glad we met Omar.

They stuck by us the entire time and are still assisting with final sign off, rebates and tax credits.

The crews were friendly quick and clean

So just learned Crown Solar may be out of business. Definitely concerning, as I have a leak due to the roof work they did last year, and when we pulled the panels, lots of broken tires and shoddy work. I did hear back from Crown and they referred me to AMS Solar, who so far has been responsive and are fixing the leak and doing the repair work. Hoping they will be my go to should I have panel or system issues.

Crown was very responsive when I engaged them for a system, and they were professional and had competitive pricing. Too bad their roof work sucked.

What's going on with these people??? Crown installed my solar (terrible job) and now I have problems with bad panels not producing. Emails, phone voice mails all go unanswered!

This has to be the most unresponsive company I've ever dealt with. I have a warranty on my recently installed solar system by them but now have an issue. I've left several messages and emails to no reply over the last couple of weeks. The manufacturer has done the same with the same non response. Now their vm box is full. What kind of company does business like this? I would stay away from this company.

Terrific service from start to finish. Melissa and her team were responsive to our questions and concerns, and almost a year later our solar panels haven't had a single issue. Would definitely go with Crown Solar again!

we have been trying to get help from these people who installed our solar panels for a week because our panels aren't working. but they won't answer there phone or emails!! we are very upset with them.

Just called to get an estimate and they said they could not come by unless I submitted the plans from my Solar System I had installed 12 years ago. ??Their site shows FREE CONSULTATION. Bait and switch?
Also they could not add on to my system. Even though they did not charge or give me service the initial contact with Crown Solar was not desirable.

Competitive pricing and fast response!

I was looking to get solar installed by the end of this year and I decided to contact Crown Solar due to its high rating on Yelp and Google. My review is for the quote as I decided to go with another provider at the end.

Here are the highlights:

1) Great pricing and fast response

I was really impressed by Crown Solar as I was able to get a quote within a few hours from between my initial call and submitting electric bill. The prices quoted was among one of the most competitive in the market. In addition, they offered an additional $500 discount if you do not require financing.

2) No in person survey of your property

The quote I received included both the cost of solar panel and installation. However, no one came out to survey the property beforehand. From talking to other vendors that performed in person survey, I was told I needed an electric panel upgrade before solar installation and trimming down some adjacent trees before getting solar installed. This is one of the reason I decided to go to another vendor, as I felt there was more customization and guidance with an in person approach.

3) No answer from subsequent follow up email

I called more providers afterwards and I was told I could pick out and order my solar panels directly from a provider and have the panels installed afterwards by a company like Crown Solar. The provider of solar panels advised me that it would be cheaper to order my own panels directly and pay for separate installation as there would be no middle man for the solar panels. When I requested an installation only (no panel) quote from Crown Solar, I never receive a response.

Overall, pricing is very good at Crown Solar but I decided to go with another provider that came out to my property to give me in depth guide as to where the panels would be installed on the roof and continued upkeep of adjacent trees that may block the panels.

They're re reliable, very responsive, and guided our family every step along the way. Their prices are as competitive if not better. Even after the process was completed, months later, when I had a concern after recent power outage, Melissa and her team quickly checked out our solar panels and confirmed there was no issue. Solid company with fantastic customer service.

We just had crown solar electric install solar panels on our house and they did an amazing job. If you need or want to go solar call them first!! I received multiple estimates from big name solar companies and they were all about 20k more. The customer service at crown Solar is excellent and so is the work.
