I asked how much it is to neuter a litter of kittens. The answer is it is $68 per kitten just to get an estimate. Access to reasonable care in this town is insane.

Re: Richard's response, that is a misrepresentation of the law. You can take your cat to the Fresno HOPE foundation where you pay $65 and they "examine" your cat, then neuter it all at the same time. A vet trying to say they need to charge you an exam fee to give you an estimate and then neuter your pet on a different day for hundreds more is bs.

Dr Heers has been so amazing to work with. We have brought 2 of our dogs here for various reasons & I feel Dr Heers goes above and beyond to take care of our babies & really takes his time! Highly recommend especially for surgeries. Our Paxton is healing amazingly after his paw surgery.

I took my elderly 23-year-old cat, who weighs only 5.6 pounds, to the vet initially suspecting she needed a tooth extraction. To my surprise, she was diagnosed with a throat infection instead. Dr. Jason was rude and arrogant prescribed a course of treatment. He mentioned administering liquids via a shot, a steroid to reduce swelling, and pain relief medication as needed.

The veterinary assistants entered the room and administered the two shots as discussed. However, to my shock, they also rubbed her with opiates, claiming it was necessary for pain management, and handed me a pamphlet.

Given that my cat is 23 years old and weighs only 5.6 pounds, I was deeply concerned about the choice of opiates for pain relief. It seemed completely inappropriate for her age and size. As a result, she spent the entire weekend under the bed, tripping her ass off and scared to death.

I would never have consented to this approach, as I had initially understood that pain medication would be administered only as needed. My cat didn't require such strong medication at her age. In fact, at the time she was not in any pain. Who does this???

At 23 years old, she is undeniably elderly for a cat, and I expected the vet's office to exercise professionalism and restraint in her treatment. Instead, I felt that their actions were unprofessional, unappreciated, and dangerously reckless. It seemed as though their priority was to increase the bill, which ended up totaling $288.

The office is clean and the staff very helpful. They took time to clearly explain how to give the prescribed meds to our cats.

My wife had the worst experience here, she bought our English bulldog for a checkup. Mind you he loves being around other dogs and is excited to meet them, but he is not a people dog, he gets anxious and anxiety with strangers so he barks but that's it. She never felt so judged by the vet assistance's/receptionist because of his barking, she was asked to wait outside in 95+ degree temperature. I would not recommend this place at all for the way they made her feel and judged.

My appointment was at 11:15, waited close to an hour to be seen. I wanted to spay my dog, but before they do here, they want to see her. Cost me 65 dollars, for them to tell me that it will cost 400 dollars to fix her!!! What a crock of dog POOP!!! Why can't they just tell me that it will be 400 dollars??? I'm taking my dog to HOPE, in Fresno, it's 130 dollars, with no pre check visit. I'm just really disappointed about this place. The girls were nice though.

Brought my pup in he ate his potty pad and had an upset tummy the new Dr said Pravo I was like I don't think so but test him. He said bring him in the next day free of charge we will re test him as he swore he's seen this before they will test negative and the next day it will be positive so I took him back he looked a little bit better but still had not eaten or had a bowel movement in two days I highly recommended that he give him lactulose he hydrated him with IV and said he'll be just fine two days later and two charges later and no meds but a wormer pill and my little pup is vomiting again I'm upset that this doctor didn't provide any medication to my little guy not even a nausea pill or lactulose you can buy on chewy.com. Won't be back ever! Disappointed! I am going to call the office. This was poor service by the new doc. Not Dr H.

I love our vet! We brought our Great Dane here when she was very sick, and it took weeks, but she is back to her old self again, playing and chewing up everything. We also brought our sons German Shepherd, and Dr. Heers performed labs in the office, giving us a diagnosis + meds before we left.
You get the feeling that Dr. Heers isn't interested in "finding something wrong" with your pet in order to charge you more. They aren't the cheapest, but he will offer you choices for treatment, while giving you his gut impression about what could be wrong. This way you can choose to be more aggressive, or medicate your fur baby with a "wait & see" approach.
His diagnosis has been right on with all of our pups, so I really trust his medical opinion, and appreciate his advice on prevention and everyday care for our pets.

Brought my puppy here on Thursday for his second vaccine he was perfectly healthy and even gained 10 pounds since his last visit. He died yesterday after the vet told me he was perfectly fine. He had no contact with any other dogs and i did not let him out without supervision. RIP Kong
