Let me first start off saying, the ambiance of this establishment is one of the best of the 'Covers' I've seen.
I just recently started working in the area and happen to work right next-door, I came in one time after work and was greeted promptly! I love when Charlotte is behind the bar and Stefan are working. So do yourself a favor and go see them!
Their upper management is totally up to par with my expectations... being in the customer service industry my self it is nice to see a restaurant so friendly and well managed.
Bianca the night time manager does an amazing job! Always makes sure customers are happy. They are all great.
Charlotte,Stephan l, and Bianca y'all are my favs. Keep up the good work!
5 out of 5 for sure!!

Wanted to find a reasonably easy place to eat without struggling to find parking downtown and remembered Cover 3 where you can park in a parking garage. Found a quick spot and walked to the entrance. Once inside we were quickly seated at a booth near the bar. A nice waitress came by to take our drink orders and decided to get a local beer from tap (Austin Amber).
The place was about 1/3 full of lunch goers but when we left was about half. It has that upscale feel and the menu reflects it. I have eaten here before and the location on Anderson Lane. Our waitress returned and I ordered the Beef Tenderloin Burrito from the lunch menu.
There are TVs all around showing sports programming. My beer tasted very good and soon the food arrived. It was a full plate and definitely the meal for the day. It was very good where the meat was soft and tasty. This definitely was not bar food but something much better, and a great place to bring your date to.
We had a great lunch and will definitely return so I can make sure to bring my gift card to use up.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Oct 29, 2018
Cool spot, good service, great brunch bloody and mimosa bar, but the food was mediocre at best. The place is huge, with a great bar and plenty of outdoor seating. The servers were also very attentive and friendly. Some of them even laughed at my bad jokes, and I appreciate that. And the bloody mary and mimosa bar was probably the star of my experience there.
Sadly, the food did not match up to the service and ambience. I got the fried chicken Benedict. The chicken was a cutlet and it was too thin, and quite bland. The hollandaise sauce did not have much flavor. The only good part of the dish was the home fries. They were great. But the star should have been the Benedict. And no one I was with enjoyed their meals either.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 31, 2019
If you want to hang out with your grandparents at a sports bar, this is the place to be. It's clean and quiet with terrible music, a boring ambiance and the worst food I have ever experienced at a sports bar. Also, the chairs at our table were so worn that when I sat down, my butt hit wood. I swapped it out for another chair, even though it was not as bad, it was still pretty crappy.
We dined on the lettuce wraps, guacamole and queso with chips and the greek calamari. The queso was cold so we requested another order; the greek calamari was decent, but the salad that came with it was drenched in dressing and the lettuce wraps were just bad.
We had intended to watch the entire game, but it was so quiet by 1/2 time, you could hear a pin drop and we couldn't take it any more.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Mar 4, 2020
This place is fine. In a place like Austin it's hard to stand out, and I feel like Cover 3 has the benefit of just being conveniently located and not terrible.
I've gone here for brunch when other places had too long of a line. The food was good enough, but there's a reason there wasn't a wait. It's pretty straightforward, and can get overlooked in a town that is known for its food. The bloody mary bar is a fun touch, but none of the ingredients seemed to truly stand out and I worry how often they're refreshed.
I think Cover has a bit of an identity crisis. Is it semi-fine dining? Is it a sports bar? I think they really need to decide and lean into whichever they choose.
Another note, which may be more my fault than theirs: I've cut out red meat and chicken in my diet and my options were extremely limited. While out with a meat-eater friend, I had a side salad, fries, and a dessert. Would be nice to have more options for vegetarians here, if possible!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 23, 2017
Came here for a late morning cocktail and to watch the start of college football. Local friend of mine visits here often on the weekends. This is a great place to watch sports. They have what appears to be a really nice bloody mary bar where you make it yourself. I wish I liked bloody marys!
Staff is very pleasant and they make it a point to know your name and greet you by name. I didn't get a chance to try any of the food here as I had a late breakfast elsewhere, but I did ponder the menu and saw a couple of plates that passed by me. Certainly a place I would visit again!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 11, 2015
Came here on a Saturday around 12:30.. Put our name down for a table, ended up getting some quicker seating at the bar. Place was somewhat busy, like any sports bar/restaurant during a college game day...
The service is lackluster here, ask the 6 person table behind us who waited 40 minutes from the time the server took their credit card to close out till the time they spent standing and finally being able to leave. Bar service is a little less wait time, but still pretty bad.
Ordered two glasses of wine... Lipstick on one glass, she noticed it as she was walking over, grabbed another glass and poured the wine into it below the bar.. As if we couldn't see this? Hands the new glass over... Lipstick again, seriously? Wow.
Ordered the seafood tower, pretty decent, little too heavy on the avocado, and needed a little more crab, sauces were tasty, but it came with stale chips on the side.
Grabbed two filets, one ordered medium, and one ordered medium rare. Both came out medium, but for 25 bucks per filet, who can complain. Could it have been better? Yes. Did their filet have a higher than normal fat content? Yes. The gorgonzola butter could have been left off. And the Sautéed Spinach was barely sautéed at all, but the dressing was flavorful.
All in all, just know what to expect when coming here, maybe not order the higher menu items, and stick to bar food staples. It's a cool spot for games, but the service just needs to be better and more attentive to their surroundings... A solid 3 star spot when busy, maybe 3.5-4 when not busy? Who knows.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Aug 17, 2019
Want a great place to watch a game (no matter what sport, what season)? Cover 3's gotcha "covered!" Popped in during weekend brunch hours and was able to mix it up at the Bloody Mary bar and enjoy a Triple from the menu: white queso, guacamole, roasted tomato salsa and crispy, warm tortilla chips. All great! Service was top-shelf, there was plenty of seating and big screens and even though things got noisy when our team scored, overall acoustics are great for private conversation and banter too.

The manager did reach out us and my boyfriend called and chatted with him. He wanted to assure us that health code and guidelines are the most important thing in their kitchen, and the next time we come in it's on the house.

My fella and I really enjoyed our last experience, so we wanted to try it again. I am so sad we did. I ordered the Ruben and he ordered the Hickory Burger. We both got the parmesan fries. Within minutes of finishing our meal we both felt very sick, and spent most of the day in the bathroom. We will were both perfectly fine when we walked in and when we left we both were sick. We will most likely never order food from here again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Oct 9, 2017Previous reviewWe spent Saturday evening watching the UT vs K-State game. It was my first time at Cover3 and the ambiance. The service was good and food was great. I enjoyed the parmesan fries and my guy and I really enjoyed the keylime cheesecake. It was a fun way to spend the evening watching the UT game.

I went to Cover 3 on a first date. He let me pick and this place is typically pretty consistent. I sat at the bar waiting for him. He was late. Come on people-use Waze- it tells you what time to leave. In his defense, he did text that he was running late. Running late -1. Texted +1. Back to 0. Neutral start.
I ordered a glass of wine and texted on my phone while I waited. The wine list is pretty good. I got a Rodney Strong Cab. He arrived-ordered a beer. The we decided to stay at the bar. Comfy seats. Lots of TVs. We ordered the chicken tinga quesadilla. It was okay. I have had better items there. Their sliders are usually spot on.
Side note #1: This place is a great spot to catch a sporting event on tv. I've been there before for March Madness and they will even change the channel and find the game you want on the tv nearest you.
Side note#2: while I don't know if there will be a second date. I know that I had a good glass of wine and a snack (that he paid for +1). Oh-the parking is great there and easy access to Mopac.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
