Awesome museum and exhibits
Unfortunately Leann the second shift supervisor is extremely rude so I'm docking a few stars
Great place though! Just avoid the short girl in the suit wearing glasses!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 11, 2024
This was a nice time killer while we were in the area.
Paid parking and the admission price weren't unreasonable. In hindsight, we probably should have also added the Studio B tour.
When we went, the map said it wasn't that busy, boy was that wrong.
While it was busy, we did enjoy the museum, and there was plenty to check out. While it's a go at your own pace on crowded days, it's kind of see what you can. On less crowded days, you can probably take time to read all of the plaques, etc.
I'd definitely give it another shot and add the Studio B tour next trip.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 174154293Apr 6, 2024
If you're into country music then this is the place for you. I like some country songs not my favorite genre but we were in Nashville music city so why not? It wasn't as interactive as the African American music museum in Nashville but it was cool.l and had some cute photo opps.
If you're in Nashville I would suggest both museums, there's a 3rd museum that I wanted to check out but didn't have time. I'll go next time.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - Mar 20, 2024
If you're in Nashville for a few days, definitely consider adding the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum to your itinerary!
First of all, it's a huge museum (I spent close to three hours just walking through various exhibits and reading at all of the interesting artists' memorabilia). Although I'm not a big country music fan, it was a very fun experience with lots of new things to see and hear. I can see how this would be a cool place to visit for both visitors and locals alike.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 13, 20241 check-in
If you're a fan of country music and you're in Nashville, you can't not check out the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The best parts for me were the actual hall of fame with the plaques and the big wall of golden records. You can easily spend hours here, but to see the highlight, you only really need about 30 minutes. You can't visit this museum without also checking out the Ryman Auditorium down the street. Country music for life!

We were treated to a free concert today in the CMA Theater! We are CMHOF members and had the opportunity to hear the fabulous Terri Clark and her band perform for an hour and 15 minutes. It was fabulous!
The crowd was thanked before the concert for contributing to the success of the HOF and what a nice reward. So glad we came!! And we were given Terri Clark Hatch prints as we exited .
It's a beautiful theatre and a wonderful experience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Feb 19, 2024Previous reviewWe have lived in Nashville for years and finally decided to join the CMHOF for a year because we love music but also the awesome benefits offered to members! This is the first time we've taken advantage of the free weekly singer- songwriters sessions in the Ford Theatre, which holds about 200 people. There are no bad seats which makes for an intimate setting for everyone.
Today we watched Pryor Baird play guitar and answer audience questions for 45 minutes. What a wonderful perk for a Saturday afternoon. It was very entertaining and we look forward to our upcoming session with Gabe Lee.
We actually live close enough to walk but today we had to get somewhere after the show so we parked next door in the Convention Center lot for just $10. Considering if we had to pay to see the show it would have been $40 per person, the $10 was worth it. And I believe that parking price is good for up to 4 or 5 hours so you can visit the museum or walk around Nashville. Free show for members plus $10 parking worked fine for us.
The lines at the CMHOF are long to get in on the weekend, so we like to go during the week. Bathrooms are located just outside the Ford Theatre to the left of the elevators which take you up to begin touring. Super friendly staff everywhere made it a great experience.
We recommend joining- if you go a few times a year you've paid for your membership! Not to mention all the free opportunities they offer members - we love music and are glad we joined. ($115 for two people for a year) - Apr 3, 2024
We got our tickets online for a certain time but the staff said as long as you got tickets, you can come any time and plus they do sell tickets on site. We like country music but not super fans...we know songs and names here and there...we still found this place interesting and spent almost 2 hours here looking at everything. They have some areas with interactive games and those are so fun and interesting to see how making music works.

My niece really wanted to visit on our trip to Nashville.....I probably would not have gone on my own. When buying the ticket we were given the option to add the Studio B tour for a total cost around $52USD. A bus took us to studio B and this was the best part of the tour. The guide, Roy, was so informative and very passionate about the music and topics....he is what made it really great.
Then back at the museum we did a self guided walking tour of the 3 floors. My niece loved this but I'm not really a museum person so I didn't enjoy it much. The halls are big and have some video and interactive elements. The museum is clean and well maintained. There are washrooms on each level and a small snack/drink shop on the main floor and a gift shop on the main floor.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 23, 2024
We stopped during our visit to Nashville. We arrived on a Sunday and purchased tickets at the door without issue even though they asked if we had pre-booked tickets. This museum is HUGE with hundreds of pieces of memorabilia! It took a few hours to get through it all. It had loads of original country music info and less of modern day country music stars.
One thing that we found odd was that Eric Church (I had no clue who he was) had a 40 foot wall of items and yet Dolly Parton who literally should have had her own room had very little. She did provide the voice narration for the Hall of Fame circular room. But come on, Nashville and Dolly go together like peanut butter and jelly. Who curated this museum? They should rethink that one!
We went to the gift shop which was huge and it actually sprawled across an indoor walkway. My friend bought an expensive leather tote for $400 and I bought a GooGoo cluster, so they had something for everyone in all price points.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sam S.CA, CA03531Apr 16, 20241 check-in
This place was very interesting. Im not a big country fan but this was a cool experience to have. They talked a lot about the evolution through time of country music and its impact on our culture.

Underwhelmed. Lots of confusing things or things not put together well.
One hit wonders or lesser known singers with a display bigger than the big hitters. Patty Lovelace has a huge display at the entrance. Shenia Twain has a poster as does Dolly Parton.
No sensible order to the displays. It's confusing.
Fear of damage by the public has everything behind glass. Understandable but little interaction with guests. Think about the guests - there were a few small theaters to listen but they were swamped. Go visit the musical instrument hall of fame in Phoenix and learn how to address this. Just sayin..,
For a Hall of Fame Country music museum, it's very small.
They had guitars, costumes, movie theater, awards, posters, special vehicles, and so on.
I doubt I'd ever return.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1
