Cortland Buffet

I only go to this place because my son LOVES this place, and of course because he lives nearby. We went last year and I didn't bother with a review because I thought it was mediocre, but this time was much different I was actually pretty satisfied with the overall visit. The staff was friendly and the food was decent. I think if you take into consideration the location and the prices it matches the quality of the food. Another thing to keep in consideration even though there is a low amount of "American cuisine" this is very much a Chinese Food Buffet FYI so, if you are considering this place you are either passing thru or you live here, either way it's decent and you should try it, just go! you'll be pleasantly surprised

This place isn't as good as it was when it opened years ago. It has slowly declined after the original owner left. I still eat there occasionally as it is nearby and fast.

The food is standard cheap and cheerful Chinese fare. They've got a few items for kids, like cheese pizza and chicken nuggets.

The thing I really dislike is that it just isn't terribly clean. The tile floor is often slippery, and everything else feels sticky.

The staff are reasonably friendly, but you have to flag them down sometimes to get a drink refill.

Bottom line: It's not terrible....

This place is absolutely amazing. The staff is very attentive and we go so often that the waitress knows our drink order. I find this very personable of them. When we go the tables are always clean and the waitress is very good about quick cleanup. The food is decent quality and
The price is fair for a Buffett. I definitely recommend.

If I could give it zero stars I would. My family and I came here yesterday and the place was empty. Should have been our key to turn around and walk out. There weren't alot of choices for food, and what was available was disgusting. We will never step foot back in this place again.

The staff was rude and unfriendly. I've never seen such an angry woman in my life! Food was not fresh. Some trays were empty, I had to ask to refill them and had to wait for indefinite time. I waited for chicken wings for 30 min and chicken wings still were not there when I left the restaurant. Certain advertised foods were not there (shrimps, sushi). A dirty spoon was given to me at this Buffet. I would not recommend this place to anyone as for their safety of getting sick. Stay away! The Spring Buffet in Ithaca is much better!

Scratches the Chinese buffet itch and it great value for your dollar if you come hungry, but the food is OK at best, so don't come expecting anything super high quality.

The Crab-Rangoon's are the only thing good about this palace,the food is not fresh and the egg rolls are filled with mostly cabbage,barely any meat if there is any. The chicken had barely any chicken and was mostly crispy breading and the other imitation crab with cheese made me gag. 10$ could get you something better in Cortland. Also the sushi was mainly rice and litthere wasfilling.the jello was cheap don't come here to spend your money.

This place used to be really good but over the years I don't come here that often. The food messes with my stomach and I get sick over it. I go to the Spring Buffet in Ithaca now which is way better!

I was in the buffet just yesterday. when i walked in the place was empty.
the food was cold hard and unable to eat . I went there just an hour before there dinner hour. they kept sweeping around us while we were eating. the staff was rude and unfriendly. they even watch"ed what you were taking from the buffet . They also told us what we could take from the food as so we didn't take any of the dinner items.. The manager was more interested in her phone rather than taking care of the customers and when leaving to pay you had to wait till she decided she was ready to
take your money due to her texting on her phone. I would not recommend this place to anyone as for there safety of getting sick.
