Open studio is such a welcome collaboration for all abilities and the 6 week courses are so fun and informative! I cannot wait to come back for the next instruction.
Thanks to the owner, Kicki, and Nika, Walker, Natalie, and Bree, I will tell everyone I know!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ana M.Murfreesboro, TN97152Feb 4, 2024
Dirty, dusty bathroom. Seems like no one has cleaned it in months. Extremely pricey. One tiny kids ceramic dog for $28?
But the worst part is that the owner/worker lady there likes to micro manage her customers and advise them not to use more than like a PEA amount of paint. She did this to three out of the four of us that came. All of us adults. Find attached the picture of the amount of paint that seemed excessive to her. For the $90 dl we spent I would have hoped to at least get some paint.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jess N.San Diego, CA203297211Feb 4, 2024Updated review
Went to this studio for 2.5 years taking weekly classes. It was great for 2 years, then things quickly declined.
Communication became poor, and price changes (after the first increase) were done in a way that felt sneaky.
It's sad to see a fellow small business go downhill in terms of customer experience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jul 30, 2021Previous reviewI've been taking a pottery class Wednesday evenings since February. Kiki is awesome. Our 'teacher' Lynn is the best! She really works to tailor how she traches in a way each individual can learn.
The comraderie amongst the class is the cream cheese icing on a strawberry shortcake!
I will be taking more 6-week classes for the foreseeable future! - Riley P.Platinum Triangle, Anaheim, CA082Feb 28, 2024
My friend and I came in around 11am on a Saturday it was us and another group of 3. We hung out till about 12:30pm painted our items and headed on our way. It was a lovely morning. I would recommend this for a friendly get together. Only draw back was the prices were higher than I was expecting.

A very cute activity to do with kids or as a date night. I took my niece here and she loved it. They have a nice selection of pottery to choose from to paint.

Took the beginners "Try it" class last week, which is one session. Totally worth it and a great introduction to the pottery wheel! We worked on centering and cylinder shapes.
I went with my friend and we were able to sit across from each other. The setup was that we all sat in two rows, and there was 10 students. Each row facing each other. So it was nice to be able to see the teacher clearly and the rest of the class in case you needed more examples. The classmates were just really nice too and open to making new friends. Lots of laughter and encouragement.
Kayla was the best instructor! She explained everything clearly and gave helpful tips on how to improve. She always made sure no one was left behind, and people in the class who had tried pottery before were saying she was the best instructor they'd had so far. Would definitely go back, especially to her classes. We had a blast!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Heather C.Norwich, CT041Mar 23, 2023
Was really disappointed that they don't allow their wheels to spin in the opposite direction- I've been doing pottery for 10 years as a left handed person and was told "oh left handed people can do it the same way." Well, that's just not true, or fair.
I had a terrible experience, I was frustrated, and I feel like the instructor noticed but didn't care to address it or come talk to me. It really is as simple as taking a screw driver and unscrewing the lock they put on the reverse switch.
Also neither myself nor my husband ever received a call about our items being finished and ready for pickup. It's been well over 3 months, and they have both our phone numbers, as well as my husband's email.
I was just so disappointed with my experience, I don't really care to even have the pieces so I haven't and don't plan on reaching out.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2 - Nazli T.San Diego, CA533116Oct 22, 2023
I booked a private pottery/wheel class for 5 of us as a birthday gift and it was SO much fun! Our group ranged in age from 35-70 and we each had such a good time. Kahla was our instructor and she is so sweet, welcoming, and an amazing teacher. This was the first time doing this for most of us, and she got some amazing creations out of us! I highly recommend this experience!! I will be back

Had my daughter's 8th birthday party there today. We had the place all to ourselves (highly recommend a Friday afternoon birthday party!) The owner, Kicki, and a helper, Loretta, we're there to assist us. We had 6 girls in total and everything was perfect. Everyone had a terrific time, including me. It's so organized that parents have plenty of time to paint too! The atmosphere is very calming, which what we needed for my girl who can become overstimulated. You bring your own snacks and beverages which I loved! Kicki even played DJ for us and took all of the girls song requests!!
