Can't believe I almost bought a new canister vacuum!
I purchased a canister vacuum from Sears a few years ago and, like most people, I returned there hoping they would be able to diagnose a "power" issue I was having. They essentially recommended I cut my losses and just buy a new unit (of course!). Feeling desperate, I googled Waterbury vacuum repair and made my way here.
The gentleman was prompt, optimistic and reassuring - night and day compared to Sears. Also, unlike Sears, there was no diagnostic fee and I was told they'll let me know within about an hour what, if anything, could be done. Something told me to wait in the parking lot, but I didn't and I was called by the time I ended my 10 min drive!
All in all, there was a simple fix that cost me $40 (because they had a used "wand" piece that was a perfect fit) - a stark contrast to Sears' quote ($50 diagnostic, shipping it out, and no guarantee of repair - especially if it exceeded $125). Obviously this could vary based on what is needed, but no matter what - you won't feel like you're at a corporation's mercy and being funneled towards spending money unnecessarily.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 28, 2020Updated review
Warren the owner is completely trustworthy and salesman with true heart. I bought my Janome sewing machine and a used serger from him. He has serviced my machines (for free as part of the sales offer/deal). It's far ride to get to him but very worth it. I discovered CT Sew & Vac from my sewing teacher who highly recommended him. As long as he is open, I will never go anywhere else. Great service.

He is also very patient and willing to explain features and to compare models with you. I bought a sewing machine from him after only 3-4 sewing classes. I believe he found the least expensive, quality (Janome) machine for my sewing interests and it comes with 3 or 5 years FREE servicing (I can't remember which - will check my receipt where I kept notes later). I can't more highly recommend this shop! I travel almost an hour to get to him (one way) & wouldn't go anywhere else. My sewing instructor recommended him to me.

Warren is awesome. His rates are reasonable. The service is quick and good. I have been going to CT Sew & Vac for at least 20 years. Warren is very friendly, honest and caring. He just recently overhauled my BabyLock Sewing machine. I didn't realize how badly it needed TLC. It runs so smooth now. I purchased both my Janome and BabyLoc machines from him and he stands behind his products and will help you pick out exactly what you need. If you have a problem of any kind with your sewing machine or if it just need a tune-up I would highly recommend CT Sew & Vac.

These people are the best! I went with a new small stick vac that I had bought elsewhere which had a missing pin holding the handle on. They had the pin, installed it and would not charge me anything. I have dealt with them over the last 20 years and my mother did too. Please patronize them.

Brought my Juki sewing machine to be repaired because the timing was off. They fixed it in just a few hours when they learned I had driven an hour to get there. Can't beat that for customer service!!! And there is a one year guarantee on all repair work! Don't hesitate to bring your machine for the best service!
