Greetings. Colonel K's is a very small drive through or walk in pasties fast food restaurant. They have fun window paint on their windows and a very colorful inside with merchandise and drinks. When I walked in I was greeted by the cashier and was shown the menu. After ordering I was surprised to find that they have all their pasties prepared in a heated oven for immediate delivery. The whole process took about 5 minutes, not to mention the workers had other customers and drive through. The pasties remind me of Shepards pie and was more on the dry and slow cooked side.
Overall a very good experience and I was impressed by their service and food quality. Thank you.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 12, 2023
It's been a while since I had a pasty from here, but I'm still tempted to drive the 10 or so hours it takes to get a bunch of them-that's how delicious the pasties are. It's everything that I love in a restaurant-it's not a super fancy, formal place, but the food and people are the best. I 100% recommended them, and as soon as I am able to get myself back there, I will.

A local boy who works here got me a rutabaga pasty and a broccoli chicken cheese pasty which lasted two meals - he also got me two soups - a lentil and a garlic potato soup to try - the food here is a local specialty and quite filling ! It was nice to try - I think it's a unique place :)

Cute little stop on our road trip to the U.P.! We got there a little bit before close so our options were limited but we were satisfied with what we chose! The drive-thru went quick and the servers were helpful to us unfamiliar Minnesotans (it's past-ee NOT pay-stee oops). The pasties are very filling and tasty and we also enjoyed the custard cookies.

I picked up some frozen and a fresh pasty on my way through the youper a few weeks ago and they did not disappoint! The hot breakfast pasty was so full of flavor and the frozen rutabaga pasties made the whole family happy. The service was quick and the lady that took my order could not have been sweeter. I'll be back and I can't wait!!

We went here on a hunch. We weren't disappointed. Huge portions. Pasties have us discussing our vacation route to make sure we run by here.

Went here for the first time today after passing it for years. We had breakfast pasties (did not know there were such a thing) and they were delicious. Tasted very fresh and were nice and warm. The woman at the counter was very pleasant and welcoming which was another plus. Overall great experience and would recommend highly.

Some things are just right in the Universe and this is one of them. Easy in, easy out. Super friendly window service. Sublime pasties.
Bought two but one of these delicious delicacies filled me up for most of the day. Thoroughly enjoyable.Helpful 33Thanks 0Love this 31Oh no 0 - Pamela D.Mundelein, IL0108May 30, 2022
Convenient location if you're driving to/from the UP. Drive-thru service was pleasant and quick. Be aware, however, that the drive-thru lane can only accommodate a handful of cars before it spills out into the street. Prices were reasonable. Pasties were hearty and tasty for the most part. The only disappointment was the ham & cheese. We agree with the previous reviewer that it tasted more like potato than ham & cheese. But that didn't prevent us from stopping here a second time to pick up a couple frozen pasties to take home.
We give Col K's 4 1/2 stars but will round up to 5.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 5, 2019
Drive through goodness... (pretty sure to can go in too) I don't get to Menominee to often, but when I do I always load up on a bunch of frozen pasties to lock up in my freezer until I get the need for some Cornish tradition. It's become a Upper Peninsula traditional food too.
Pasty in like a pie folded over and stuffed with meat, potato and veggies. They also have some "exotic" flavors too, like ham and cheese, pizza and empanada.
Warm them up, maybe add some gravy and you have a meal fit for a Yooper King!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0
