Excellent coffee shop for locals! Great selection of espresso drinks, smoothies, and delicious breakfast menu!
We tried their cafe mocha, with double shot of espresso. Great flavor and tasted like a chocolate milk! Their lox with cream cheese bagel was perfectly paired smoked salmon, red onions, capers, cream cheese on freshly toasted bagel.

Highly recommend both!

I ordered a Lox bagel and added pickled onions to it. I ended up with a bagel with no Lox. When the clerk was questioned her response was.'well I used my last piece on the bagel before yours'
So it's ok to charge someone for an item, but not serve it and not even say anything!??

As a local living, just a few minutes, walk from here, this is my favorite place to have a coffee, read and relax . I've been reading an Anthony Bourdain book here this week. It is inspired me to tell you what a great place this is. It is a much quieter, serene but friendly place to sit and enjoy excellent coffee and read a book. They serve Santa Cruz coffee, which is better and my favorite. It is very much unlike Cat & Cloud, which is often filled with strollers, noisy, long lines and nowhere to park. While you're here, a few steps away, you can poke your head in the Point Butcher Shop and see all the quality meats they have also.

We went close to closing time and the two employees were nice and worked fast. We ordered an ice latte and iced Mexican mocha both lite ice. We drank them and completely forgot to take photos. They were simple good drinks. The inside of the cafe is small but really nice. Good place to hang out and they also have outdoor seating.

Update: the lattes are still amazing and the best of the three coffee shops in the area. Sooooo flavorful.
Better yet, the entire former staff (that the previous negative reviews were based on) was let go, and the new peeps are super cheery and friendly. Whew! Smart move. MOST local place to get coffee. In all of Santa Cruz.

Its my favorite local coffee shop, they brew some excellent matcha lattes and chai's compared to their other locations. Delicious bagels and their own tasty smoothies! They satisfy me after a solid surf sesh

Hot coffee is strong and delicious. Perfect for the early morning start. The ambience inside the cafe is nice and the outside is a vibe. Breakfast burritos are good. The staff is kind. I'd recommend this place.

Love this cafe. They really focus on the fundamentals: good coffee, great food, competitive prices. They have a very relaxed, low-key vibe that contrasts with the more trendy, Instagram-bait venues nearby. A definite staple of the area.

Let me start by saying, their bagels and cream cheese is 5 stars. I've been a regular here for years, and will continue to come here for my morning coffee and bagels.

The reason I give it 3 stars is because of the rude woman who has long red hair (usually in braids), glasses, tattoos, and lots of makeup. She works almost everyday (unfortunately). She is incredibly rude and short with everyone. It doesn't seem like her coworkers enjoy working with her either. She treats customers as if they are an inconvenience. I really hope she gets a job somewhere else so my mornings aren't burdened with her awful energy. She seems very unhappy at this awesome coffee shop. Maybe she should not work the register. If she takes my order, I don't tip.

Everyone else who works there is great! Very friendly, and helpful!
