I decided to meet a friend for coffee and I suggested we go here because it was recommended to me.

It's a quaint small little coffee shop (meaning there isn't that much room). Since I went here last week (during summer) I should warn you that they do not have air conditioning and it is really warm in here. They have one free standing fan by one table. We waited for another couple to leave so we could nab this table, but to be honest it was still hot as hell. I felt bad b/c she was pregnant and it kind of ruined our experience.

Anyways, we shared a chicken sandwich that was so delicious and I also had a croissant. The croissant was ok but the sandwich I definitely recommend. I ordered an iced coffee but they offered me an iced americano instead, um, ok, beggers can't be choosers I guess. Did I mention how hot it was?

Overall ok experience. I would go back during the fall or winter lol.

Casually strolled into this cafe as I was too early for my lunch reservations with friends at a nearby restaurant.

The store/cafe is cutish. Interesting offerings of stuffs from candles to pots and pans. A knick knack store on the one side.

The other side is a cafe with pastry offerings. Seating capacity is super limited to 5-6 spots while though there are some seating outside.

Customer service/experience is noticeably terrible. I greeted a grumpy rude female staff. Notice I said I greeted her. She was in a foul mood. She replied with an irritated tired "yes?"

I specified a decaf americano. I repeated my order twice since 75% of youthful servers f this up. Well today this pissed the crap out of this gender myopic feminist. She replied sharply "yes I've got it!"

Waited almost an eternity with no drinks. Either the barista is a trainee or the cashier f it up. Cuz there were just one customer ahead of me. And she is long gone.

Instead of speaking to the original cashier, I asked a different staff about my drink order, she quickly made the order.

I asked the sleepy stoned out barista where the condiments are. She nodded over to the two indiscreet small lidless cups of cream and milk sitting on the bar counter in room temperature, probably rancid. Something about her demeanour/body language communicated, "what are you retarded?" "You can't see?"

Is it just me or is it the minimum wage workers these days kind of terrible?

Or is this gender myopia thing going too far?

Oh and don't get me started with the whole pre-tipping ordeal.

I feel like we are kind of at the end of an era where robots/ai are going to replace this whole segment of terrible customer interface service.

In the mean time, give us a self-serve digital ordering interface!!!

I'm glad I gave this place a try. I came around 1:30 on Easter Sunday and was surprised to find myself the only customer, but the traffic (mostly to-go) picked up a lot during my visit. Probably a weird day because it was a holiday. The staff were really nice and genuine people and I felt at home in the shop. The only seating is the stools along the window counter - most of the floorspace is dedicated to the gift shop, which sells a variety of home goods and pantry items including but not limited to candles, tea towels, ceramic kitchenware, dried pastas, and sauces.
The lunch menu is pretty small with just 3 sandwiches, but there's a great selection of pastries, plus all the usual coffee and tea drinks. I had the Tomato & Fior di Latte Sandwich, the Pistachio and Citrus Semolina Cake, and a Matcha Latte. The sandwich was basically a standard caprese but very good - I loved the fresh roll and garlic aioli. It was pretty small though. I like smaller portions within reason, but this was not the size I expected given the price. The cake was amazing! I love how semolina cakes are always so moist and the flavours here were really nice. Unlike the sandwich, this was a pretty generously-sized slice, but it still disappeared quickly because I could not get enough. The matcha latte was pretty good too. The strength of the matcha was very middle-of-the-road - I think they got right in the sweet spot where people who like strong tea like me can enjoy it but it's also unlikely to offend people who like their drink milder. It came unsweetened which is my preference. A little pricey - with dairy milk it's $5.50 which is totally acceptable for 16oz, but nondairy milk adds $1.
If the cake I had is any indicator of the quality of the rest of their desserts, I would highly recommend trying a pastry and enjoying the postive vibe if you can grab a seat.

Stopped by this cute little cafe on a rainy Saturday morning. There isn't a lot of seating but most other customers were buying to-go so we were able to find a seat (they also made sure to check vaccine passports after noticing we sat down). The space is really pretty and they have a pretty large section dedicated to selling handmade items like mugs.

I ordered a latte and a scone and both were super delicious. Usually I find scones to be too dry but their scone was very flaky but also had quite a bit of moisture. It was extra good after toasting :) My boyfriend ordered a sandwich which was also good, but not quite worth the price tag.

Overall, I had a pleasant experience, but it's hard to say whether I will revisit because there are so many cafes just in that single intersection on Main.

A cute little combo coffee and goods store and I got the citrus and pistachio semolina cake to pair with a coffee from another cafe on Main St. Surprisingly the citrus and pistachio paired really well and I was a huge fan of their cake. Interested in trying some of their other coffee and baked good offerings next time I'm in the area.

3.25...could've been better, but not bad.

I haven't heard of Coco et Olive before, but we decided to stop by since there was non-stop foot traffic. Coco et Olive is a combined cafe and retail shop selling local goods, including gorgeous ceramics and soy candles.

We got the Oat Milk Latte ($5.50) and The Breakfast Sandwich. For $12, I was expecting a larger sandwich, or would've liked something on the side. While it was good, it was rather simple and I don't think I'd get it again. The latte was pretty standard, but came with some pretty art. Definitely on the pricier side, as total after tip and tax was over $20 for the two items.

We stayed for about an hour people watching, and there was constant traffic. It's definitely a popular spot, so maybe we ordered the wrong things. Service was okay.

Yum and yum. It's a busy little spot and hard to get seat, but so worth it when you get one.

The coffee is on point and my cortado was the bomb. Clean and excellent. Amy had a oat milk tea misto that was great.

Amy had the simple salad with egg and avocado added. Very yum. The dressing and ingredients shine out. You can always taste fresh quality, and it's glows from their food here

I had the egg and avacado tartine (egg and cheese and avocado and more on toast. Wow. Blew my mind. Even the mini salad was scrumptious and quality. The little spice added and flavor combination of the tartine was one you have to share with whoever is with you who didn't get one.

Also got an almond croissant. Yum and yum. Nice crisp flaky shell with soft buttery insides but not too "buttery" flavor. Delilah on the roof when combined with my cortado.

Even though it's a tight-seating culture where they ask you to move on if you linger too long while a crowd stands next to you waiting for a spot, the food is enough to merit my star rating and you have to praise awesome when people bring it. Thanks to the crew!

This is a long overdue review. I've been coming here for years and the pastries never disappoint. So, this is my routine: I dropped off my clothes at Front & Co (for consignment across the street) and walk over to Coco to pick up my pastries so I can enjoy it at home. Front always make you wait for at least 20 minutes.

I usually order their tarts, cakes, and whatever interesting that is in season. Everything I bought so far is delicious. The cakes were moist and the amount of sweetness is perfect. If I have more time, I would order their beet salad or soup of day. As usual, it was scrumptious! I still haven't try their sandwiches so I will try it next time.

As for their coffee, it tastes like any trendy, hippie cafe but like I said, I just go for the sweets. :)

Wow, guess I'm not the only one that's getting poor service from this place after reading reviews. The baked treat that I got was good, but I'll go elsewhere that appreciates my business.

      Hipster city.

I ordered the salted caramel latte with the blueberry and lemon yogurt loaf. Both were fabulous. The salted caramel latte was flavorful and the coffee was strong. I've never had Stumptown coffee, but I'll be back for more. The blueberry lemon yogurt loaf was moist and had a lot of blueberry and lemon. My daughter and I shared one, but I was only able to get 4 or 5 bites since she loved it so much.

Coco et Olive tends to get quite busy so it's hard to find a seat. I saw the manager try to help people get paper cups/bags for people who couldn't finish their drinks or food. It wasn't in a way to rush people out, but to create space for new customers without rushing the ones already in there. The staff were great and seem genuine.
