Clean Air HVAC

TLDR: Great job on a repair by a couple of guys who know their stuff and are genuinely nice human beings.

Our furnace stopped blowing air, so we had effectively no heat or AC. I had a recommendation for this business from our neighbor, so I called for help.

Two gentlemen, both named John, came over to troubleshoot. After I explained the situation, they navigated the obstacle course of our attic space and started digging into the problem. They diagnosed the problem as the furnace's control board, or maybe the blower motor (which I suspected). They located the needed parts, and said they'd set up another service call to do the actual repairs. A few minutes after they left, they called me back with a new plan, they'd just go grab the parts (warehouse in Concord) and come right back. No objections from this end!

After they got the new control board installed, we spent a little time testing everything...they changed the filter and asked me to run the AC and then heat. They checked the air flow at all the vents to be sure everything was OK. No upselling was involved, I specifically asked how our system looked to them and they said other than the problem they fixed, everything is running fine. We had a few minutes of downtime here and there to chit-chat. They answered all my questions and I have the impression of professionals with a good store of knowledge and experience.

I'd definitely use this company again if I needed HVAC repairs or servicing.

We had mini splits ductless units installed in our older home. Very professional from the salesman, Greg to the two installers, Rex and Roy. They definitely seem to know what they are doing. Also the estimate was a bit lower than the three others that we received. Would definitely recommend them.

Unfulfilled Promises and Communication Issues

While initially promised a complimentary assessment, I was unexpectedly charged $100 by the very pleasant technician.

Further attempts to follow up on the status of the estimate proved frustrating. Despite repeated calls, I was consistently connected with the their front desk receptionist, Sarah, who lacked the authority to provide updates or connect me with her manager. On my final call, Sarah suggested seeking another company and claimed she "does not represent the company" despite handling scheduling and answer the phone.

This lack of communication and transparency, coupled with the unfulfilled promise of an estimate, left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. While I appreciate Sarah's ultimately fruitless efforts, I highly recommend avoiding this company at all costs.

Fell for the high pressure "it needs to ripped out" slogan several years ago, only to have unit inspected recently by a professional company who discovered they never vented our furnace exhaust. Lucky we hardly used the furnace and opted for the space heater and fireplace because we probably would no longer be around due to carbon monoxide poisoning.

Jonathan came on time for our routine maintenance. As usual, he checked everything thoroughly, updated, calibrated and retested all. We have always been impressed with the integrity and efficiency of this company.

This is a real repair company, not a network of contractors. This company knows how to diagnose a problem, recommend a part replacement, acquire the part, and replace it. I have called other companies in the past who come and simply try to sell me a new system and hand me quotes for 18k. These guys are awesome and honest.

Incredible work, easy solution to a nagging problem we had for 2 years 1 with another HVAC company telling us we needed to replace our entire HVAC system. We really did not want to fork out $15,000 for a new system so we postponed the fix until we could find a company willing to come in and take a look at the situation. Clean Air HVAC fixed the issue and within an hour we had our heater up and running again! It turned out all that we needed was a new capacitor and thermostat!

cleaning and inspection. He was professional and checked all inside
ducts, furnace unit and outside heat pump, including cleaning the fan blades. We highly recommend their service.
