Food has always been very good. The service was a little slow but I believe that is everywhere you go these days. Hard to remember they close at 2:00

Authentic small town diner. If you like to go off the beaten path to local joints- navigate to the City Cafe in Munford. They serve breakfast all the time! We had a full breakfast for two with add-ons for under $20!! Friendly service and comfort food has all the flavor of small town Tennessee! Try the blackberry cobbler!!

Breakfast anytime, not fancy, but clean. Adequate service, only one waitress at the time of our visit but she was working very hard to take care of everyone. Place was packed at 7 a.m. and the service was great. We got the Breakfast Special 2 eggs bacon or sausage, toast or biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were like Grandma used to make, hard and dry....no I'm just kidding, they were fluffy, light and delicious. Sorry, Grandma, it was just a joke. Everything was good and the prices were low. We will definitely be back!

Been here twice now. Love the friendliness of the people. Good food and great prices! Burgers and fries the first trip with a tasty cobbler to go. Breakfast today for both of us. He had the Philly omelet and I got the breakfast special. Definitely returning to see our favorite waitress!

Waited over an hour and a half and still no food. Two people abandoned their table before we finally left for the same reason. We had to flag down the waitress to get refills while we waited because no one checked on us, then didn't even seem apologetic when she returned with them. Won't be coming back.

Just ok... Eggs undercooked, bacon was good. Gravy was like jello.
Hash browns were American fries.
Didn't know how to cook basted eggs apparently.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Joshua K.Southaven, MS83Feb 5, 2019
Stopped in to grab breakfast. Food was excellent. Good prices and plenty on the plate.

Had a chance to check this place out based on a recommendation when I was through Munford. The food is actually really, really good here and I have heard it has really improved. The prices are very good here. The service was good but not great, that would be the one area I would probably improve on a little.

First impression was really hoping for a good local breakfast spot to take the family. Walked into a country style atmosphere. We stood at the door for 5 minutes as people walked by seating their self. No sign posted for seating was a little disappointing. Then we found a seat and the staff seemed in total disarray as if they have never been this busy before. Counted 6 or 7 staff with 50 or so people eating in dining area. It felt very unorganized and 1. Not enough people cooking together 2. Not enough communication.... we seated ourself a waitress came to take our drink order and ordered our food great pretty fast at getting our order! so we waited for our food to come..... ended up never seeing our waitress again.....guess she was doing dishes?? So as we waited slowly losing our patience others began to leave stating they where waiting over an hour as they left waitress's where not communicating to not make the orders so they would walk out looking for people who left... I was ok hopefully that puts us up further in the line. Began to see several people who entered before us get food and eat.... obviously getting more frustrated... lady began walking around apologizing and saying they were running out of stuff sorry for long wait.. ok if this was communicated initially to. People as they arrive this would have possibly stopped some people coming in knowing a long wait may be ahead... so no we patiently continued to wait. At this point we where here with 10 people in house still waiting for food....1hr 10 minutes later. So with this much time you begin to question the restaurants ability to serve guest in a timely manner. Hooray food finally arrives so I am more critical of the food than I would be normally and overall it wasn't bad gravy wasn't fresh and bacon taste as if it wasn't setting for a while but still didn't taste bad. I could easily give a worst rating than what I gave but overall. So with all this said 1. Relook at how the waitress are assigned to the areas. Greet people at the door. As them how there food is after they get it. Leave ticket at table so they don't have to ask for it. Check in with guest if a long wait is possible. Unfortunately this business is gonna fail by word of mouth if these simple hospitality ideas aren't put in place. I personally would reduce items on menu seemed like it actually had to much on the menu for their abilities to cook either way don't stay away from this place. Please help and support this local eatery and hopefully they will improve these simple practices.....
