Chocolate Bash

Would give this place a zero if possible, myself and others went here to get coffee nothing but grinds in the coffee not worth the money or the wait time. Would have been nice to know their coffee options are not filtered when saying we had never had it before. Would not recommend unless you are familiar with Turkish or Arabic coffees which we had told them we were unfamiliar with, workers said it was similar to a tea which it was mostly paste/sludge. ~ associate was also licking her fingers behind counter while explain menu

Over the past month and a half, I've been to this place 3 times! It's that good! I always leave here with a belly full of crapes
Portions are great for the price point. I love their variety of sweet and savory crepes and drinks.

Their coffee tastes house made and hits the spot on a cold day.

The crepes are huge with so many fresh fruits! Definitely feeds me for a meal or two.

Smoothies and cappuccinos are also very tasty!

Service is always accommodating and pleasant and this place seems family-owned, which is amazing to support! This is a hidden gem in Newport Beach!

Due to a late night dessert craving, my friends and I drove over to Chocolate Bash. We got the mini pancake sampler plate (20 mini pancakes) and sampler plate (crepe, waffle, and mini pancakes). The two samplers were enough for the five of us. As for the dessert, it was nothing too out of the ordinary, as the pancakes, crepes, and waffles were drizzled with nutella, which I felt like was something I could make at home. The employee was super helpful and friendly, but the dessert itself was pretty standard, although it did hit the spot for a late night craving.

Perfect for the sweet tooth in you! They're open late daily and have so so many options to choose from! My friends and I shared the chocolate covered strawberries, Nutella drizzled cream puffs, Oreo hot chocolate, and vanilla latte. I have a 3 star only because the drinks were lacking flavor unfortunately especially the vanilla latte it just tasted like flavored burnt coffee I was pretty bummed out but I needed something to wake me up. Oreo hot chocolate had a little more flavor because of the whip, cookie crumbs and marshmallows or else it would just taste like chocolate flavored water. Everything else was pretty great! The dessert was so fresh and tasty I can't wait to come back and try some more options! Late night it's pretty chill and quiet! Service was great super kind and efficient.

Or for anyone who just loves sweets. They have a huge selection considering it is a chocolate shop. This is different than your average Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory. They have waffles drizzled with milk chocolate and white chocolate. The mini pancakes drizzled with White chocolate are dreamy!!!!! Those are my favorite by far. It is just so good with the warm pancake and sweetness of the white chocolate.

The typical chocolate covered strawberries are tasty. Very fresh strawberries and the chocolate is perfect. The cream puffs were good too. I just don't care for cream puffs. My partner loves the cream puffs and crepes. I got the Twix milkshake, and it was underwhelming, I wouldn't get that again. The fruit tarts were delish! You basically can't go wrong with this place! Everything is so good!

The first time I went here was PERFECT!! Strawberries were sweet and delicately coated with chocolate, the perfect consistency for chocolate covered strawberries with chocolate coming off with the strawberry at each bite. However, my second time here was very disappointing. It was not even comparable to the first time I tried it, with hardened chocolate that broke off within the first bite and became very messy. I hope there is more consistency with how they prepare these. Also, it took a long time to make BOTH times I went here, so I'm not sure if I would come back again.

It's Tuesday night, we order 'made to order' crepe and Belgium dark chocolate mocha. The crepe is ok, the drink was not ok.
Poor young lady, she was by herself tonight and after about 30 minutes my drink was ready and only after she had to phone someone to help her make the drink (I heard the convos), I was concerned about how the drink would taste, it was bland, like milk and water, can't taste the mocha nor dark chocolate, if you see the pic you can see a clump of powder like stuff, maybe mocha stuck inside the straw. I wonder why the owner left the young lady by herself.

I ordered 2 dozen chocolate covered strawberries to be delivered to my office. The order was placed online and accepted over a week in advance and payment was taken. The day of, two separate delivery drivers cancelled on me stating the shop was closed. After leaving my office to drive down there thinking that the drivers just arrived too early, I found that the shop was closed and nobody was there to make my order. I called and sent an email to the business for a refund and almost a month later have not heard back or received my refund. Do not order from here unless you are physically at the store or be prepared to be swindled out if your money. If

Wandered into Chocolate Bash in Newport after the bars! Perfect spot for some cheap sweet treats. I tried the Nutella crepe and it was great. Nothing special in regard to ambiance and menu, but gets the sweet treat job done well. Service was nice too!
