Anyone been here recently? They havent answered the phone in a long time.

Nope, it's been months since someone in their family needed surgery so they had to close the store down. Don't know if it's temporary or permanent. Hopefully everyone is okay though 👏🏻

China Boy Bakery is back! After a short hiatus during the pandemic, Anna is ready to serve her customers like they're her family. You can't beat how warm and friendly she is. She's just so thankful for every person that walks in. And her food is delicious! It's Chinese comfort food at its best. It's a bit more expensive than Chinese fast food but the menu has the classics. Their chow mein is so good. Additionally the orange chicken is perfectly crispy and sauced. She makes these chicken wings on sticks and in addition to tasting good, they're also easy to eat because of the sticks. If you're lucky enough, you should definitely try Anna's walnut cookies. She doesn't always have them available but they are so buttery and delicious! The one thing I'll say is that you may want to plan to get the food for takeout. The restaurant is pretty tiny and not the nicest. This is a small business that you'll feel great supporting!

I got shrimp chow mien and pork buns , let me tell you it was so delicious compare to other Chinese restaurants. When we walked in they were so welcoming and it felt homey, they even gave us dessert while we were waiting for our food. I strongly recommend you to try this spot if you are looking for an authentic restaurant.

House fried rice with spicy pork chops was delicious. Best fried rice pork chop combo I've ever had and trust me I've had a lot. Simply delicious. Added the chili sauce too

Didn't give me any at first. Asked for some and they gave me *ONE* pack lmao. They gave me some free cookies when I walked up. Nice gesture but I'd rather have a respectable amount of soy sauce. 1 star off for that. Remember the basics!!!

I will never forget this place. We walked in to order some food and while waiting we spotted what looked to be a mouse in the window cutout they have. It looked like it was used to people and then proceeded to hop over into the kitchen. This was a while ago so hopefully they got that issue contained.

Why do they say they're open until 11:30 yet they're closed? Update your hours please. It's extremely unprofessional to not have updated information.

Absolutely excellent vegan orange tofu! Omg, I want to eat it again. The tofu chop suey is great too. This place is very vegan friendly and will use meat substitute for basically any item for the same price. Always call in your order in advance and you will have a wonderful time.

How have I not known about this place????
Apparently China Boy Express has been open for three years, and I had no clue ... what the what???
As a seasoned Montebelloan? Montebellan? Montebelloian? (wtvr) I'm kinda disappointed in myself.
I must admit I was a bit hesitant before entering. It's not a very traveled area of Montebello, but my fellow Yelpers seemed to like it so I gave it a shot.
Jose, the owner, was really inviting and upbeat from the moment we entered. Luckily we found a seat - there isn't much seating, so beware. Jose gave us a few suggestions, but in the end we went with:
1- House Special Fried Rice: Not too crispy, but really flavorful.
2- House Special ChowMein: A good ratio of noodles-meat-veggies.
3- Orange Chicken: Crispy and not too sweet :)
4- Shrimp w/Garlic Sauce: Love the sauce!
Overall everything was really great! I will definitely be returning soon.
Oh, and did I mention they're open until 11:30pm #godsend
Stay Cheerful ;)Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
