    About the Business

At Chimak House, we specialize in fried chicken and fried cutlets. We also serve a variety of different types of Korean food. Chimak is a common slang word combining the "Chi" from Chicken and the "Mak" from Makju, the Korean word for beer. Chicken and Beer is considered a classic combination in Korea and one of the most popular choices when eating out. Thank you for supporting our new restaurant during this time.

Chimak is honestly my favorite Korean fried chicken spot to go to! It has a cool little pocha type vibe inside, with some ambient lighting.

The crowd that comes here is typically young, but knows how to have a good time. I love coming after 8:30PM from Monday through Thursday because it's happy hour, which is $3 beers and $7.99 soju!

My go to order is the 20 piece wings that are half soy, and half spicy. This is the iconic order, that you can pair with some Jinro is back and Terra!

The order of wings also all comes with fries already.

Highly recommend coming here, the place is a vibe!

Going to the restaurant first impression I thought we're going to a restaurant not a night bar. This restaurant have QR codes but one of the things I notice is that 5 or more party that enter you have to give them a tip. Which shows that not necessary people have a choice whether they want to tip or not you earn the tip on your service. They also have a robot that comes in why do you think you deserve a tip when you do the robot to work for you. Once you decide what to get there's a button you have to press and an actual waiter comes in. If your trying to buzz them again good luck we didn't get anyone until we actually call someone over here
Environment 5/10 needs lights for a restaurant not a night club
Food 6/10 takoyaki you can tell it's frozen by the texture golden crispy brown is frozen and deep fried takoyaki is suppose to be light crispy and completely burn the inside of your mouth. Chicken was good but if you order something make sure you get what you want my friend can't eat spice yet soy garlic was spicy to her
      Price 8/10 pretty reasonable

Came in on a Sunday night and it had a nice bar vibe with lots of bright tvs playing kpop music videos. The menu is a qr code and you can ring a bell to let the waiter know you are ready. The food came promptly and it was very yummy. The lemon pepper seasoning was extremely delicious. Also love the fries that was included - I wish they gave more but the pieces are very long and I was sharing with 2 other people haha. Plenty of parking.

Wow I really enjoyed this place! Came in with a few friends to catch up on a Thursday night.

FOOD - Superb! Very good and even got free chips and nacho cheese with the beer. The original fried chicken was good, but not fantastic, but the Soy Garlic flavored chicken was amazing!! I loved that one. All our food was amazing and the portions were great for sharing.

SERVICE - SUPER duper friendly and open to questions we had about the menu and offerings. I really appreciated when they came to check up on us with a smile. Those little things go a long way.

AMBIANCE - such a "late night" type of vibe! Dim lighting around except at your tables. The booth tables feel a little private because of the way they put up walls around it. Music was, of course, KPOP all around. Loved it! Such a great place to go with friends and for a drink.

PARKING/LOCATION - can feel intimidating at first because the parking lot looks SUPER small and sharing with another strip mall. Don't fret. There is a larger lot connected in the back corner. To get to the actual spot, you walk in the building with multiple businesses and the Korean spa.

HIGHLY recommend this place. It's small and a gem. Definitely coming back for the great vibes.

A great mixture of Korean traditional and pub food for anyone who wants variety!

I ordered the cheese katsu and wings to go on an early weekend evening, and surprisingly, they weren't too busy. But from the looks of the place, they seem to cater more to late evening crowds because of the bar, ambient lighting, and booths. Still, the food was freshly made, and their garlic soy wings might be my favorite! The katsu was gigantic, made white meat, and a white sharp cheese (cheddar?), and while I didn't get to try it right away while it was warm, it was still delicious! The breading was thick but not disproportionate to the meat, and the wings had an extra crunch with strong, pronounced garlic and umami flavor. Everything was packed extra carefully for me to enjoy at the park!

We've had this restaurant on our list for awhile, finally made it. It is inside the lil indoor Korean strip mall where we have eaten at other restaurants. Plenty of overflow parking in the back, we'll lit plaza. The place is pretty basic nothing fancy, but they do have a bar, big screen TV playing kpop videos. The service was very good they came around and checked on us every so often. The food was great. Now the thing that we came for, Chimak chix and beer, was probably the most disappointing. It was good but it was supposed to be a half a chix, fries and pitcher of beer. It was more like just random pieces of chix, which was perfectly breaded and fried, about 7 fries and a big Terra bottled beer for $27.99. The pork katsu plate and Tteokbokki were bomb. My daughter had some plate that was surrounded with tofu, which she was the only who ate that, but the pork dish in the middle of the plate was delicious. We will definitely be going back.

Delicious food at a restaurant where most spots are in booths, great for privacy, with current and classic Kpop songs and music videos on the screens.

Service is great as they come to you when you press the button at the end of your table. They also have a really cute robot that delivers you your water when you first sit down.

The portions are a lot bigger than what I expected as I am used to tiny portions at the Korean restaurants that I've visited.

Definitely plan on there being a crowd and a VERY long wait if you're going on a weekend night. They seem like they are short staffed as well. We waited almost 40 minutes for a table and this was after a long day at an anime convention. With the crowds and how exhausted we were, we were trying to squat sit to rest and the worker was nice enough to provide us with chairs.

Despite the time that it took to be seated, our food actually got out pretty quickly! Service was super friendly and accommodating in the midst of all this.

      We got the:
      1) Cheesy Curry Chicken:
-I was going to order the cheesy curry fries, but seeing that fires come with the chicken for this order, I opted for this dish instead.
-It comes with huge pieces of chicken cutlet (katsu) that's thinly breaded on the outside and moist on the inside. The fries were nicely seasoned as well.
-This comes out on a sizzling plate so it's nice and warm with gooey cheese.
-Great indulgently junky dish with more than enough to share.

      2) Spicy Daechang:
-The absolute MVP of the night. I've never had this dish before, but I'm happy that I got a chance to try.
-It's marinated large beef intestines fried to a crisp. It also comes out on a sizzling plate with a sweet and spicy sauce.
-I'm not a huge fan of intestines, but the crispiness took away the texture that I'm not a big fan of, so I really enjoyed this dish. We devoured it.

There's a new location in Riverside that's closer to people that I know, so I will for sure drop by and try the rest of the menu here.
