Castillo Real Mexican Cocina & Bar

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Henry County by far. Friendly staff, clean restaurant and bathrooms.

I was concerned about the food when we pulled up due to all the signs in the window about no refunds on food. I thought that was odd. But since we were already there, my boyfriend and I ordered to go. It was quite empty for lunchtime in a friend afternoon. After placing the order, we sat at the bar. And the food arrived 10 minutes later. Once home, we started with the salsa, which was beyond delicious. My boyfriend really enjoyed the biarra tacos. He stated they were seasoned well. I had the chicken fajitas tacos, which were also delicious. The rice was a little bland, but I just added more seasoning. Overall, we enjoyed the food, and the servers who took our order were very professional.

We've been going to Castillo Real for years for our weekly date night. The food is good and the service is fantastic! Ron and Jesse recently updated the menu and Wow! Home run! The items are next level shut the door good! Ribeye Cicharrones and Elotes smash that like button! Tonight I heard the Tacos Barbacoa, winner winner Barbacoa dinner! My much better half had one of their new burritos and found it equally delicious!

I usually pick up my orders from this restaurant. Decided to treat my two kids (5 & 7) to a sit-down dinner at the restaurant. At first, my server seemed flustered due to working multiple tables and got my side dish to my order wrong. I gave it a pass because I saw she was juggling. The problem really occurred when my 5 year old had to use the restroom. I covered the plates and left my jacket in the seat. My server was again assisting other tables, I let another server know I was taking my kids to the bathroom.

When we returned, the plates were cleared, and my jacket was missing. I asked the servers where my food was, and my jacket was missing. The lady who was bussing the tables said she thought I left, and they moved my jacket behind the register, and it was my responsibility to alert my server. The server said they would remake the order. At this time, my kids are upset because they are still hungry. I asked for them to make it to go. The hostess who saw what happened offered her apology (the only person to do so). A man brought my food out and didn't offer an apology either. My server brings the check I asked for a manager.

The manager was the same man who brought me my food. I stated I'm unsure if you knew what occurred, but my plates were removed when I took my kids to the bathroom. He said yeah we remade the food. I stated that due to inconvenience if he could discount the check. He said he couldn't, I asked well who can he said he can, but he is not discounting my check due to remaking the food. I stated that you do realize this interrupted my dining experience. He said it was a mistake and they remade the food. He also said I just wanted to eat for free, and he was not comping my check. He said he was going to call the cops on me (keep in mind I'm with my 5 & 7 year old children). I stated to him that if he feels he needs to do that. I even told him I would be leaving a review, and he said he would report my review as spam. He kept repeating that I just wanted to receive free food. I stated to him that I never requested for him to waive my check but a discount. Pretty much, I was blamed for taking my 5 year old to the restroom. I was supposed to alert the waitress. I stated she was running around, and I let another server know. He yelled and said she was working for a living in a condescending tone. I asked if he did not believe I work for a living (he got quiet). He said he was keeping the food, and I could just leave and never come back. I advised him I frequently pick up from the restaurant, and I have never asked for a discount and always pay and tip. He makes a scene telling me in front of my children and the restaurant to get out and never come back.

I have never been disrespected in this manner at an establishment. I am a black educated woman who is a director over customer service, and I was racially profiled by his continuance of stating I just want to eat for free. No regard from him raising his voice to me in front of my children. I am super disappointed in the level of disrespect I received at this restaurant, and I will take all measures for the disrespect received.

Food was AMAZING! Definitely found my new favorite Mexican restaurant ! Would have given 5 stars but my husband ordered chicken tacos and I was given steak instead. But I wasn't upset about the mix up because they were really delicious!

If you are wondering if you should try them , DO IT

The new Birria pizza is totally delicious. Best thing I've eaten in a very long time. It's cheesy and savory and the sauce/broth it comes with for dipping is just so satisfying. I'll be purchasing over and over. I absolutely love it.

My wife and eye went during the afternoon on a weekday for the first time.
We normally go on the weekends and evenings and we always go to the bar and have NEVER had an issue.
This particular day we go to the bar and sit there for at least 5 minutes and no wait staff appears no one's there to say anything!
Now mind you,IMO it's not busy.
There's two other couples in the bar also waiting and three tables being used on the outside.
Where we walked in an older lady in black was there having a conversation with a gentleman on a cain,so I patiently waited for her to recognize me and when asked could I help you I kindly asked was there any one whom could wait on my wife and I.
To my shock I and was told "you just walked in",I quietly stated mam I've been sitting at the bar for 5 minutes.
I quietly and frustratedly returned to my seat only to have to return a few minutes later to ask for the manager, only to learn that I'd been speaking and asking for help from a manager the whole time.
As we were leaving, I was told some one had just arrived and once again we supposedly only just sat there.
Thank you Sticky Cactus restaurant for saving the afternoon and gaining two very very happy customers your outstanding service and food.

Extremely large portions of wonderful food. You will be full and keep eating. The staff is very attentive. You can ask any staff person for information, they are all highly knowledgeable. It is a great place to be with family and friends. You can be alone and still enjoy your meal and the atmosphere

Had to take a break from being in front of my monitors and grab a bit to eat and found Castillo and decided to grab a quick lunch. I don't remember what the name of my entree was but it was delicious. It's the new taco on their menu. I got 3 slow roasted beef taco that came with beans and rice and some special sauce. They brought chips and salsa out. The chips were nice and warm. I ordered a side of guacamole, that was good. I would have preferred it to be a bit more spicy but it was still good. Enjoyed every ounce of my entree. I could only eat 1 and a half of my taco but that because I ate the entire bowl of chips. Now I can't eat anything for the rest of the day. Maybe a fruit salad and water. My carb count is blown. Looking forward to dining here again. And the price was perfects

Great food, Great Staff and great place to unwind and have fun. Great every time we go
