Such a solid place for dinner for my family! I have never dined in but carry out every now and then. The whole chicken is a great deal. We like to try all the sauces and debate which is best! Last time, we also had the tostones and the chaufa rice. I think both are unique and authentic. The pico de gallo for the tostones was amazing!
The guy at the counter was nice enough, but not particularly helpful. I was also picking up soup for my grandma, and bumbled a bit between her order and mine. I felt like he was annoyed by my indecision, where I wish he might've been helpful or at least a little less "put out". Regardless, I'll be back.
The restaurant is nice on the inside, and I've dined once at another location. I would be open to eating here, it's just not been in my usual pattern.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 43646Oct 29, 2023
I honestly can't wait to try this place in person instead of delivery. While I was staying in Louisville I was looking for a dinner place I could get delivery from (Uber eats). This place came up so I ordered 1/2 chicken with cilantro rice and plantains & a chicken empanada. I thought the chicken was delicious still moist and hot, the cilantro rice was yummy, and I was 50/50 with the plantains (wish they were cooked longer). And I didn't like the empanada filling but loved the dough. Also the sauces were so good! I was dipping in all three (thankful they give you all 3 to try!)
I saw some complaints about the size of the chicken on the reviews on here but I thought they were a great size and the price range was perfect. I say give them a chance like I did because now I know a place I want to try again while I'm in Louisville!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ashly T.Montgomery, TX160103Apr 23, 2023
Food was priced well
Food was crazy over salted. It's all I could taste
Also, tasted like it has been sitting under a heat lamp for a few hours
Received my food quickly
Service was great
I order a whole chicken and instead I got a baby pigeon.
Can't believe how small an entire whole chicken was.
I won't return and I do not recommend. The reviews are very misleadingHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 8, 2022
The chicken is always juicy tender and SLAPS!!!!!!!
Now some of the sauces aren't my favorite things but I can do without them. It doesn't need anything else but I do like hot sauce lol so it's just one of those it depends on the mood and vibe! But it's delicious!! I like the kale side!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Nellie H.Lexington, KY30037May 28, 2023
I got the half chicken with green beans and roasted corn. The chicken was SO flavorful and juicy! It certainly didn't need any sauce with it, but all 3 sauces offered were delicious as well. The green beans were stir fried with onion and so tasty! Loved them! The roasted corn was not something I'd get again. It was buttery and the rubbery texture suggests it was pretty overcooked. The service was excellent. Overall a great dinner and I'll definitely be back!

Fried empanadas. Bacon fried rice. Sweet potato fries. And plantains. This is my order every time and it is flawless every time. Enough food for 2 meals easy. Affordable. So tasty!! The sauces are a game changer so always ask for extra! The service is friendly and the staff makes great recommendations of their favorites.

The air is a little smokey, the light smell of grease and chickens roasting fills the room. The source is clear; the stainless steel rotisserie is the size of a Mini Cooper parked to the right of the counter where orders are taken. A line has formed here that looks frustrating at first, but is quickly dispatched by the woman behind the register. The menu is diverse but not overwhelming. A few appetizers and desserts, but most of it is a list of salads, sandwiches, or plates with only 3-4 options beneath each. Sides are helpfully listed as well, a familiar but plentiful set.
From the outside, the shop is tucked away in a corner of the strip mall. I wasn't expecting it to open up with the plentiful seating, large projection screen and a relaxed, uncrowded feel. The lights are fairly dim and most of the light streams from behind the counter. The drink machine is a bit inconvenient; not just because it pours Pepsi, but also because it is right in front of the swinging door leading to the kitchen.
After a short wait, my food was brought out to me. The sweet potato fries hit the spot. The chicken wrap needed a little something, though. I'd eaten half of it when I spotted a refrigerated case with three types of sauces in bottles that I'd completely blown by on my way to get my drink. The chipotle ranch was exactly what I needed.
At close to $20 for a plate lunch, I don't think it will be a weekly spot for me, but I'd definitely visit Carali's again!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
