Cantalini's Express

I work down the street from Cantalini's, and whenever I forget to pack my lunch, it's so nice to know that I can order online and have it ready for pick-up within 20 minutes.

The prices are good, and the staff are always friendly and polite.

I usually order a personalized calzone, adding various veggies (usually spinach and roasted garlic, but sometimes I mix it up). Their caprese salad is also delicious.

I'll try the other dishes eventually... but that calzone just pulls me in every time. Hehe.

Ordered delivery because I was feeling comfort food. Food came hot.
I opened the zucchini sticks first and dived in. There isn't much to this dish and the marinara sauce is bland. How do you mess up marinara sauce? I will grade this a D.
Next up was the vodka pasta. It was very tasty even though the sauce is watery. It had the best flavors out of everything I ordered. This dish gets a C.
The pesto pasta was very average. I will rate it a C-. I also ordered shrimp to put on my pasta but those were rank and we had to throw them out! I don't think anyone in that kitchen can smell! How can you send out old shrimp. I'm gonna give this place a F for sending out expired shrimp and having tasteless Italian food. They should do better and they should know better. Will not return.

It's a tradition in our household to try a new pizza place while watching the Academy Awards, and this year our choice was Cantalini's Express.

The thing that attracted us to Cantalini's was their extensive topping selection and interesting mix of specialty pizzas. We finally decided to go with their Italiano Hawaiian pizza, which had prosciutto instead of the typical Canadian bacon that most pizza joints offer.

We live outside of their delivery zone, but the food was ready at the promised time, and packaged well for takeout.

I was so excited to delve right into the pizza, and while the toppings were plentiful and tasty (prosciutto is such a terrific addition to pizza!), I was really disappointed in the pizza crust. It was bland and tasteless - Domino's has a better crust, and I am not a Domino's fan. Sigh.

We ordered a bruschetta appetizer and the classic Italian salad, and they were absolutely delicious! Yes, these are both relatively simple dishes, but they were both perfectly executed. The salad had fresh and crisp ingredients, and the Italian dressing was a perfect accompaniment. The bruschetta had the an excellent garlicky flavor, and was paired with perfectly toasted bread slices. SO GOOD!

We probably won't be back to Cantalini's for pizza, but we will definitely come back to try some of their pasta dishes, with a side of salad and bruschetta!

I've lived within walking distance of Cantalini's for almost 5 years now... but just recently started ordering from here about 6 months ago. We've only ordered pizza, but it is AMAZING! I adore the Arturo's Pizza (basically a lasagna pizza) which has ground beef, mozzarella and ricotta cheese and the Margherita Jo's Pizza which is a little more basic w/ olive oil, fresh basil, garlic, and lots of mozzarella cheese. Just thinking about their pizza makes my mouth water.

I am definitely going to need to try their lasagna and calzones, as I've heard nothing but good things about them. Especially since they deliver!

Their customer service is also fantastic. They are so friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

I've lived next to this place for years but I've never really made the attempt to try it out. I finally decided to make the leap because I saw their Groupon deal and figured why not. My friend and I got the Hula Italiano Pizza (Hawaiian) and the Penne Vodka. Did not like the pizza. It was super flimsy and the cheese was practically playing slip n slide and fell off the base with every bite. The Penne Vodka, however was pretty good. The sauce was delicious, but they were definitely holding back on it. It was kind of dry so they could have been more generous with it.

Not sure if I'm totally itching to come back... maybe. It was super easy to order over the phone, and everyone was nice. Overall it is a good and convenient place for a quick fix.

Had ordered pasta take out a month ago and had a couple slices of cheese pizza to go. I was way over at Westfield Mall and since my wife and I enjoyed those slices before, Cantalini's came to mind for slice pizza. The crust was thin and crispy. I like the flavor of the tomato sauce and the cheese was not overbearing. I added two toppings to my slices, mushroom and sauce crumbles. I prefer clumps of sausage versus crumbles. The mushrooms were a tasty addition. Overall it was fulfilling. I had a Pellegrino Sparkling Mineral Water with it and memories of my three years in Italia creeped into my head.

By the way, seating is one small two person table outside and a window bar inside with four stools. It's more of a pickup and go place, hence the name 'Express '.

One more thing, we had two pieces of desert the last time. Chocolate cake and a chocolate mousse. They were prepackaged, but very good!

Ordered baked ziti. Got home, and noticed there was zero (and I mean zero), ricotta cheese inside. Meaning, it was just pasta and marinara with some melted mozzarella on top. I called the store, and spoke to a representative who claimed, "I saw them make it" and repeated that 3x. I was completely shocked to be honest. The hallmark ingredient of baked ziti is the ricotta! Super disappointed. I even provided my address so they could pick up the ziti and see for themselves.

I don't recommend this Italian restaurant. More so due to the way they handle their customer service. I would have forgiven the missed ingredient had they been more humble, and kind.

Better off going to C&O! They never disappoint.

I was taken by surprise after being served this decent sized aluminum container with the most aesthetically pleasing baked ziti I've ever seen. It was so cheesy and couldn't get enough. Luckily, I wasn't able to finish it at the store so I conveniently sealed the lid back on and took it home. I could see why Express was in the name because my order was ready in about 10 minutes. The price is a bit up there, ranging from $12-$16 for most items, but the quality and amount you receive makes it worthwhile. I recommend for anyone wanting to take some good food to munch on at home.

The Penne Vodka was very creamy, big, and good! The price was right (between $12-13) because the order was so huge. The pasta also came with a side salad and a piece of garlic bread. They need to get a more flavorful balsamic dressing because the current one tasted like a "lite" version.

I had a taste of the Spaghetti and Meatballs, which was also very large. I enjoyed it, but the Penne Vodka was better.

Very very delicious pizza , I've tried pizzas all around l.a and this one is sharp , crispy , and has a ton of flavor to the piece, even if it's a cheese pizza it exceeds excellence ! Had a slice and went back for a large . Lol
