There are several Candy Kitchen locations along the boardwalk, but this was the largest one we saw. Great service and variety! Their merchandise wasn't too expensive, but certainly not cheap. I was able to get several things to take home for friends and family. :)

This chain is great. We saw several stores just driving around. The fudge is yummy. There are frequent sales (BOGO or B2G2). There are nostalgia candies and newer flavors. The extreme sours were great. The prices are similar to Disney, they can charge what they want. There are cute stuffed animals and toys if you don't want to just get sugar.

This place is horribly run. My family walked in and we had 6 miserable looking teenagers just stare at us the entire time. Zero acknowledgment of our existence until about 15 minutes later when this jackass comes up as says "what do you want?" Just so dang rude! I couldn't believe it and in most cases I would have let that kid have it but my 2 little girls were excited about getting candy I didn't want to ruin the day. Every person there was doing absolutely nothing but staring at either us or just the wall in front of them. But there's more. A lady I presume was the manager came out and loudly yelled at them to get to work. They all rolled their eyes and started pretending to do things. What a joke of an establishment!!! I've been in business for 20 years and if I was the owner I would clean house and hire people that knew how to treat their customers.

The candy was amazing but with the attitudes and how this place was run, I'll never go back to this horrid place.

(This visit was made during the times of Covidious last month. When things return to a look of normality - your experience likely will vary.)

If you've ever been to OCMD then you know of the three headed monster that has squeezed a lot of other competitors out of the way. It's The Dough Roller, Dumser's and Candy Kitchen. In particular CK as they seemingly have locations everywhere both on the boardwalk, on Coastal Highway on 50 and in Delaware. They're impossible to ignore.

We come down here in the offseason when the boardwalk locations are closed and because this location is close to where we usually stay (and is open year round) this is where we stop.

      A few random thoughts:

Compared to Shriver's on the boardwalk in OCNJ this place/chain has a few drawbacks. At Shriver's they still have open self serve candy bins where you can (with a glove on) pick whatever variety of things you want. Here that's impossible as everything is behind the counter and the fudge that is upfront in the display is not even what they're actually selling. If you want a pound of X the employee gets that from Tupperware bins on a back shelf.

In terms of price the whole needing a coupon for the buy 2 pounds get one free (fudge) is silly as that deal is going on seemingly every time we're there the same as the buy two boxes of taffy and get one free "deal". Is it really a deal if it's always available?
I get it that since I've never been in season things might be different but in the off season it's always available. The price per pound for a single pound is a ripoff but if you have a need for three then I suppose it's somewhat ok.

In terms of taste...I don't know. I'm not really a chocolate person but to me the stuff here tastes, meh. It's decent but not outstanding and the thing that I do like (the fruit slices) are some kind of generic-o 4th party brand that are usually old, hard and stuck to the plastic wrap.

In the future when we're back in town I'm sure we'll stop here again although it's mostly out of convenience and the lack of choices versus that the products are outstanding.

This particular Candy Kitchen had great choices of candy and cute stuffed toys. It also sells fudge. It was open until 11 pm and we were on vacation, and decided after a late dinner, to go to this Candy Kitchen. There are a few Candy Kitchens in the area. We entered the store around 9:10 pm, my receipt is timed for 9:28 pm. The staff had sour looks on their faces, didn't appear to hear my questions, so I had to ask twice, and in general were all apathetic, and it was as if they're doing the customer a favor in helping us. We were not rude nor loud nor obnoxious, just merely giving them business in buying what they had to sell. They're lucky we didn't just replace all our items and walk out. I even asked to confirm whether they were closing soon and the employee hesitated to tell me no. I couldn't get out of there fast enough with their looks and attitudes and I'm sure they were glad to see us go, but that's ok as we won't return to this particular store.

A wide variety of candy and sweets! You can probably every candy and sweet here. They have many locations so you can always go get candy!

I ordered the chocolate covered gummy bears and a the fruit slices. Both are my favorite and go to!

A pound of salt water taffy, 6 chocolate covered Oreos, and 2 gourmet pretzels for about $32 and the customer service was good. Friendly associate and she accommodated my special bagging request. Also was patient with me while I decided what I wanted. This location is open year round.

Stopped in here earlier today before I left Ocean City Maryland to pick up some fudge.
I'm glad I stopped in because there is a deal going on right now for buy 1 lb get 1 free.

I had a coupon for buy 2 lbs get 1 free but when I went in it had a even better deal going on . So I ended up buying 2 lbs and got 2 lbs for free. The cashiers was nice and served me quick. I would go back again next year when I return to visit Ocean City again.

I give the service and fudge 5 stars

My daughter LOVES this place and we go every year while on vacation. There is a nice variety to choose from but very pricey. There are so many locations in Ocean City and I do feel this one is cleaner than most. The staff are not overly friendly though.

We have been visiting OC gor last 20 years and every 3 years I go back to this store and always disappointed. Worse fudge & salt water taffies in OC. Only good thing they are all clean & well lighted. Another smoke & mirror business. Tourist trap.

What a joke of an establishment. Me and my sister went in to get some chocolate covered strawberries for our mom and us. We only wanted 3 strawberries and I asked how much a typical strawberry. The girl was must've been foreign because she acted like she didn't understand a word we said. She proceeded to call a guy over who said a quarter pound, i replied with "a strawberry is a quarter pound?!" And he looked at me annoyed and rudely said that I needed to buy a minimum of 1/4 pound (the strawberries aren't that large). I ended up leaving because the staff was rude and made me feel as if my business was an inconvenience to them. Will definitely not be returning.
