California Closets - Scottsdale

Recently we had made 3 phone calls to this California Closets location to inquire about the possibility of having some additional shelving made for our existing walk-in closet.

We explained, in detail, exactly what we were looking to do, and each time we were told that the sales agent was busy with a client but they would take our name and number and get back to us as soon as possible. Each time I waited at least 2 days before I called again. It's been at least 10 days since the first phone call, and to date still no response.

Regardless of our request, the least they could have done is call back and let us know whether or not they could fulfill the request. Pretty simple.

I had a 37 year career working in sales and service, and I made sure each call was satisfied one way or the other. Customer service, no matter how insignificant the request, should be at the top of a business priority list. Needless to say, California Closets will not be our choice for future projects.

Did well on the design, but appears extremely expensive. They have HUGE mark ups.
Just can't recommend a company that overcharges to the maximum, in my opinion.
I verified the cost of goods of our project at approximately $3000-$4000 and they wanted to charge over $13,000. Granted that did include installation.

Taylor was our design consultant and she did a wonderful job helping us with a bookcase for our house. The whole process was easy, and Taylor was a lot of fun to work with! Highly recommend.

California closet did a great job on design and installation BUT customer service after you pay is another. We asked if someone could come and adjust the rods
they were to far forward. They said they would have to charge us for a service call.
We are in our 70's and standing on a ladder was not safe plus we spend a lot of money. So no stars to the manager of the Scottsdale store.

Taylor. She helped me design my dream closet and my son's too. She spent the time to make all the changes I needed to make everything perfect. She was very friendly and kind. The price was reasonable for a closet exactly the way I wanted it and it will installed too.
This is my second time using this company. I'm very happy.

We hired California Closets to assist in the design of our master bedroom closet remodel. Molly came to our home within a few days and provided us with several design options, along with pricing. She was very professional and helpful. We were able to move up our install date by several weeks, and had a very easy install. We are very pleased with our new closet and will use them again.

They have a beautiful showroom in Scottsdale that is open 7 days a week. I choose not to go with them mainly because of cost, but they do nice work. They must be busy because no one called me back after I waited online then opted for a call back. So frustrating to not reach people, and it was Monday!

Wow!! We had our California Closets installation today, a built-in desk and queen-sized wall bed and we are so happy!! Amy Lillquist has amazing design ideas (allowing my Peloton Tread to fit too!) Dany and Luis were fabulous installers!! They thought of all the little details!! This is our second seamless experience with California Closets and would absolutely recommend them for their superior service, five star installation and innovative design solutions!!

After interviewing 3 different closet companies I chose California Closets to redo my master walk-in closet. Although they were more expensive than their competitors the job they did was worth every penny.
I especially want to thank the installers that put everything together-Alfredo, Juan and Kai. They were professional, clean, thorough and very personable. They really knew their product and were experts in the installation process. Thank you California Closets for a great overall experience.

We were very impressed with the designer, Silviya. She came up with a wonderful design. We had to wait 2 months to get installed. The installation was fine except there was a damaged mirror door that we thought would be replaced quickly. Be prepared to wait and get the run around. I called every other day starting February 1st. You leave a message, they will call you back in a day or two and really have no real answers. Be prepared, our install was January 22. We finally got our replacement mirror door April 3rd! You get a sorry and that's about it.
Love the product. Customer service is nonexistent. Pray you don't have any damaged products.
