Wow, we planned to have our once/yr breakfast here with my son in Missoula but we were late and ended up having lunch--awesome. The special soup of the day was pazole--those of us from New Mexico spell it "pasole". Other than my own and my Dad's, this was the best I have ever had. meat was tender but not too fatty. just the right amt of spice and all the right toppings! My Turkey, candy bacon, avo sandwich was superb. And the service was perfect. 6 stars if I could.

Service was good. My son had Huevos rancheros and liked them very much. The star of the brunch was the "brown veggies" with lots of cheese and an egg on top. I'm usually a "meat, egg and potatoes" guy but this dish was awesome. And a half order for $8 was more than enough!! If I lived here I would return often!!

The food was good albeit, I ordered tea and had to ask for sugar and a spoon! The server must not drink tea nor tea etiquette.

Food is always great!! One of the few decent places to eat in Missoula.
Our server Christopher was great!! He was friendly and gave amazing service. Our coffee cups were never empty. I had waited tables for twenty years prior to what I do now so I know how rare it is to get someone who does absolutely everything right!
Thanks Christopher and thanks Burns Street!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Aug 20, 2016Previous reviewWe moved here from the Portland area a couple of months ago and the food has been one of the biggest things we've missed but fortunately someone local told us about this place. This is our fourth visit and we've been yet to be disappointed.
I had the Veggie Browns today and they were amazing! Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, squash, home fries, four cheeses and topped with an over easy egg. I added a side of their to die for candied bacon.
Great coffee, a kind of hipster Portland feel, and friendly staff. Keep doing what your doing and we'll keep coming back for more. - The Unknown E.La Jolla, CA015745Dec 18, 2023
Service was very nice. But... not a fan at all. The skeletons and horned ram seemed kinda dark... The food? Hamburgers were tasteless, candied bacon not good. Thumbs down overall.

Great spot! Nice patio and cool vibe inside. Service is very attentive. Food is AMAZING! They have a seasonal rotating menu of 5-6 items and a very nice year round. I had the Collard Greens w/ Pork belly and egg over easy. So good. Mimosa was good, but could use a better presentation. Nice lil gem!

We came in for brunch today and boy was it busy, and we showed up at 930 am and the house was already full and seated despite there 9 am open. We waited 40 min for a table which was unexpected but so WORTH IT. The tables were still 6 ft socially distanced due to tray tables they left at the ends of each table since tables for 4 ft. Brunch menu was limited, but sometimes limited menus mean great tasting food and that was the case here. Ordered biscuits + sausage gravy with a side of candied (yes !!!) BACON, which came in a large bowl. Awkward at first, but it let you scoop up every last delicious bite. Our table Ordered the strawberry rhubarb crisp, it was warm, oats had slight crunch and cream anagliese made it so sweet and perfect. You definitely don't want to miss this place while in Missoula.

Good location and pleasant staff. Summer menu is A+. Outdoor dining is a bonus.

I was so excited to try their Bahn Mi adjacent sandwich, so I was a numbed when I got there and discovered it was removed from the menu (see updated menu as of 5/21/2020). But I persevered and landed on 2 other options: the birria torta and the Katsu chicken sandwich. Not gonna lie, I loved the torta. Buttery, crispy bread and tender meat. I'm usually not a big fan of this kind of beef (reminds me too much of pot roast of which I'm not a huge fan). But this had a great blend of flavors. I wish the veggies were a little more pickled for a little extra kick but overall it was great. Not a chip fan so those went in the trash. I also tried the katsu sandwich. I liked every flavor but the chicken. It was a good texture and crunched nicely, and the aoli and the veggies were very flavorful but the chicken itself was pretty tasteless. Maybe some extra salt and spices in the coating.
Overall great food. Looking forward to trying some of their other options next time. I love a good bahn mi so I hope they bring that back!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kerry N.Missoula, MT771055Apr 23, 2023
Not even sure where to begin... I was so excited to visit this restaurant. I have heard great things about the owners and the food! Sadly, from the greeting (or lack there of) to the food we're a complete and total disappointment. I always try and find the positive in every dining experience, this one was the big bright beautiful windows and light that came in... that is where it ends. Our greeting was less a greeting and more an annoyed barely there acknowledgment from Christopher, the host. As a host, manager, and server for over a decade I can tell you this is the worst first meeting experience I ever had. Asking about being seated with 5 out of 6 ready, and the 6th order in my hand was responded with a three minute lecture about how they don't seat incomplete parties. FYI I wasn't rude or demanding, I simply asked. The restaurant was far from full, we had our complete order, and were in no way demeaning. Then a bit later he came over to tell us they could seat us, followed by another lecture filled with a flurry of attitude, rudeness, and an air of we're lucky were allowing you to eat here. Then we sat, ready to order where we were greeted by another lecture... again not one single sling of attitude, demanding behavior, or anything but courtesy was shown to the staff...we were all ready to leave but starving we stayed. My husband and I both had the biscuits with gravy, both biscuits were burned and charred but we ate them to literally avoid dealing with any more of this nonsense. The waiter after the initial lecture and apologizing upon realizing were nice people, who gas the other persons order (who walked in after we sat down) was a great and attentive server.
Unfortunately that can't save this place. One of the worst experiences I've had of snobbery and arrogance thanks to the greeter...and I lived in LA for a long time. Disappointed is an understatement.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jack S.Tacoma, WA07Jun 28, 2023
Love the staff and the food at Burns St. Consistently good food, fun atmosphere, and seems very community-oriented. Really enjoyed eating here.
