We live in Lincoln but always stop by Bud's when we are in town. Amazing food and excellent service. I highly recommend the French dip, mimosa and Bloody Mary!

Service was beyond horrible in the Dining Area at Buds on a recent Saturday! We won't be back again due to the rudeness of your Staff! You have a waitress with short Hair probably 60+ years old and has worked there for awhile. She was very rude to us and our relatives-always on Saturday or Sunday!! She's not helping your business at all!! We watched ppl leave before and no reaction! Her excuse is always "I'm the only one working right now so I CANT HELP YOU ANY FASTER!" So rude! We are at Buds quite often before but we won't be back!!
It's been 5 months and we still aren't ever going back!!! Ever!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Apr 23, 2023Previous reviewGood food, good people!!! Love Stephanie - really just enjoy breakfast and lunch the most. Great food!
The bartenders are really nice and know everyone! The food is just so delicious you can't beat it in Dixon!! The establishment is very clean and everyone is very friendly. We don't go to any other bar/ restaurants in Dixon because Buds is the best and we feel welcome there. When we travel out of the area we can't help but compare our lil' piece of home (Buds) to the restaurants we visit and really nothing ever compares to the great meals and company we get at Buds establishment! - Bill F.Vacaville, CA03310Mar 26, 2024
Decent place for breakfast/brunch/lunch, can't vouch for dinner as we've not been there for it. All meals we've had were good portions, tasty and never had bad service. Can get noisy when crowded.
One complaint though, other customers must agree: the design of the booth chairs have a wooden edge that bruises the crack of our asses everytime scooting in or out of the booth!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kathey N.CA, CA0212Apr 8, 2024Updated review
Two for lunch please. Great service. Server very quick and friendly.
My friend had the BBQ Tri Tip Sandwich, said good flavor but tough. I had a grilled Chicken Sandwich with bacon on a Croissant and salad. The salads are so yummy and fresh. The chicken breast was totally dried out. the iced Tea was refreshing.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Mar 20, 2024Previous reviewTook my friend to St Patty's Day for lunch. Service was great! Kept our tea full and table bussed. Thanks for trying. Had 2 shots of Fireball, split a Guinness Fish and Chips and 2 Iced Teas. Fish and chips were terrible. Cold and soggy cod, oil old not a good flavor for beer battered cod, fries cold and coleslaw hot.
Brandy had them remade. Now Fish hot, still soggy, fries cold and Cole slaw hot.
I brought home a Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner. Flavor was great! - Sep 18, 2023
We stopped here for breakfast on our way home, it took us off our route by five minutes or so, but it was totally worth it.
It's got a Pub and Grill feel to it, and a little seating out front.
The waitstaff were nice, but there's a lot of ambient noise, so hearing conversation was a challenge. The food was really good, ESPECIALLY the biscuits, (YOU HAVE TO TRY THEM, I said so!)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Chelsea E.El Cerrito, CA22212Mar 30, 2024
We have lived in town for coming on two years and had this place as a regular date night on Friday or sat night to the point where the bartender knew what we wanted as soon as we walked in. It was great at first, but as of the last few months, it has gone down hill. Food and drinks are great but what good does that do if the service is crap? We've sat down at the bar several times when no one greets or acknowledges us for 5 min or longer. We went in there tonight, a few people at the bar, not many diners in the dining room and never had anyone approach or say they'll be with us shortly. We got up and left to Dawson's. We have seen a younger and older bartenders sass each other and in very uncomfy situations for us to watch to the point where I felt like I should be empathetic to something I shouldn't have seen to begin with. Other patrons yelling obscenities at each other without anyone stepping in, etc. all of it. Just not for us. Maybe we will give it another try in a few months but no promises. It's just not a reputable spot to go in town anymore.

Went here for lunch while in town buying a new truck. It was recommended by the salesman, and glad it was. Cool little place, right downtown. They were fairly busy, so it took a little bit to get seated and waited on, but we weren't in a huge hurry so it wasn't an issue. Ordered a BBQ bacon burger and my wife ordered a salad. The burger was AMAZING, but I was super disappointed in their frozen, out-a-bag fries. The fries sucked! Not sure why restaurants can't cut and make real french fries like In-N-Out does. Doesn't seem that hard to have fresh, great tasting fries.
Other than that, the meal was reasonably priced and the service was very good! Highly recommended! Just make sure to get a side other than fries.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nov 26, 2022
Always a good time at Bud's. Grab a hi top in bar area for quick service - drink and full menu available. Brought a friend and sat down and we're immediately given menus. Sometimes it super busy but day before Thanksgiving wasn't too packed.
Order drinks from the bar and the Cajun chicken pasta salad, no olives. Yum! It's a big portion so plenty of pasta to bring back home for leftovers.
Servers and bartenders always a pleasure to talk to.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Davetta S.Alpharetta, GA02Mar 22, 2024
I would leave a better review if I had gotten served. Left after sitting at the bar with no greeting for 10 minutes, while employee was busy drinking with oother customers.
