Brooke's Appliance Brothers

I really like this place. What a good find. They fixed my sewing machine and gave me advice about it. A true gem of a business. They even looked inside the machine and said it was worth keeping because it was all metal, not plastic like they make them nowadays. My boyfriend also bought an AC unit from them and they delivered it to us within an hour, because we live in the neighborhood. The brothers that run it are both very kind and professional, I will definitely be going back for any appliance needs I may have. Thanks guys!

Had been meaning to write a review of this place a while back but kept forgetting. I cannot recommend this place enough. I always prefer supporting a small local business over the big boxes, and thanks to the people at Brooke's, that is an easy decision to make.

Two years ago I was looking to buy a new vacuum for my apartment, and they steered me to a German brand I'd never heard of before, saying it was the best value for my dollar (and actually less than the model I'd originally intended to purchase). It's hands down the best vacuum I've ever owned, and saved me some $. Absolutely top notch support and advice.

Last year, bought a new AC - again - they steered me to the best model for my space, and had it delivered and installed with no hassle within 2 hours of purchase. The install guy was awesome, efficient and expert, and the machine has been perfect.

Those are just 2 of my many positive experiences with this store - they've earned my business time and again and I will absolutely be back. Brooke's is the best!!

Update #1 - STILL THE BEST! I DID end up needing a new air conditioner by the end of this past summer (that would be 9 whole years I managed to keep mine running - thank you AC for your service), so I called Steve back. I'm a very sweaty person and I needed one in a pinch. As usual, I experienced the best service. He helped me select the best make and model for my needs over the phone and had it delivered to my apartment and 4th floor walk-up ASAP. Amazing shopping experience all around.

Update #2 - There is really nothing bad about this place. I gave them a call to see if they do professional area rug cleaning - of course they do! I figured it was easier to get it professionally done than to try to: find a machine, lug it up 3 flights of stairs, do the work myself, all while healing from a broken elbow. Instead, I was charged a very reasonable price and the same lovely man that delivered my air conditioner came to do my carpet cleaning! He remembered me and everything! He did an AMAZING job. It really changed the vibe in the room. If you have never had your rug or carpet professionally cleaned before, I highly recommend doing so - and make sure you hire these guys!

They KNOW their brand types and they KNOW their business well. I highly recommend Brooke's Brothers to anyone needing help to know what to buy whether it be a good vacuum, a sewing machine or any appliance. They do excellent repairs as well!!
They will answer any question you have and will lead you in the right direction concerning the best appliance or vacuum to purchase.

They are professional, friendly in their approach and very knowledgeable about all their products.
I used to live in Brooklyn but moved 2 states away and still do business with these guys. That's how good they are!

This shop is an absolute gem in Park Slope. If only every business was like Brooke's Appliance Brothers. The store is run by two wonderful brothers, who are truly kind, helpful, and considerate people. Brooke's Appliance Brothers sells vacuums, sewing machines, soda carbonators, humidifiers, air purifies, and appliances, and do carpet cleaning. Please don't shop at Amazon if you can support a great family business and neighborhood shop like this!

These guys are the best! They're so honest and friendly: I wanted to get my sofa cleaned and they told me that they do it, but they told me how I could do it more cheaply by myself. I've also bought many appliances from them and in many cases they are cheaper than Amazon. As someone else said, there's nothing bad about this place.

Tho store is run by a family and one of Parks slopes's landmarks. You feel the warmth, the minute you walk into the store. They're very honest and kind people who know all the details about each of the products they sell. Buy your appliances from them and support them.

Rude. If you ask questions, does that make a rude response reasonable? No. Went to Mr. Vacuum, ultimately paid $120 for a repair (pickup and drop off included!) and Joe was super helpful and KIND. You reap what you sow

They've been fixing my Dyson for a while when it was still under warranty but this time I needed fixing and my warranty expired. I only trust them to touch it and it came back like brand new. Thanks!

Always friendly and helpful. Great selection of air conditioners at Brooke's-- the big box stores' selections weren't great and were poorly rated.
