Bronko’s Pizza And Sandwich Shop

What a fabulous little pizza place!!! We've been searching for pizza like we have back home... which is Una (not uno) style that most people have no idea what it is. After seeing several posts recommending Bronko's, we saw the pizza pan which is the same as what Una is made on and we had to go try it!
The friendliest people, the cleanest restaurant and the frostiest glasses!!
We shared a ham salad with the house made ranch, it was plenty for 2 and that dressing was soooooo good! We ordered a medium Da region pizza and its was delish!!! We brought half of it home as it was generously topped with fresh mushroom, green peppers, sausage and loads of cheese! We didn't know it when we ordered but we could have had the crust thinned down. If we would have done that, I think we would have found what we were looking for! The pizza with regular style crust was crispy just thicker than we usually like. The sauce was really good!
We're going back to try it the other way and some of their other amazing looking food!!! Definitely give them a try!! Go early as they have limited seating.

New pizza spot to try! Right in downtown Cicero. Very cute hometown pizza shop and bar feel. I saw so many recommendations on Instagram and was excited to try. We came on Christmas Eve night and the service was great and everyone was super friendly! We started with the garlic bread that was the perfect amount of garlic to cheese ratio. Six slices was perfect for the three of us. We then split the combination pizza and it was loaded! So may veggies meats and cheese. It was a little "wet" just due to the veggies but didn't make the crust soggy. Super flavorful!

Bronkos is some of the best pizza I have ever had. It has the perfect amount of toppings and a thick layer of cheese on top. It is honestly some of my favorite pizza ever. We have it at least once every 2 weeks. I cannot recommend it more!

Great food. Lots of great cheese on the pizza and shrooms. The mushrooms have a great filling too and can be their own meal by themselves.

Very small place that has a line waiting to get in when it opens. I think there were 6 tables in there and if you want one you'll have to be one of the first 6 groups in line. Oddly enough, the other people in line didn't order pizza. They ordered either Italian beefs or chicken. Now, this is a pizza place so I should have thought about that for a moment. For Chicagoland people, they have PBR and Old Style, among other beers. (I think half of Cicero comes from Chicagoland)

We ordered breadsticks and pizza. The breadsticks really are bland and didn't seem to have any garlic on them. Man, did that dough need salt. The pizza was odd right off the bat. A hot pizza that had zero pizza stretch on the cheese....and there was a lot of cheese. Good amount of toppings...but the taste was off. Weird taste on the sauce. I almost thought some chemicals dropped into it. Maybe that sauce is a Bronko's thing? The dough and the sauce, and even the cheese, needed salt in a bad way. Just super bland. The sauce needs some Italian spices added to it for certain. The crust is nice and crispy but all around the pizza tray was a pool of liquid, from the sauce I guess.

The joint looks to be hopping, though. Not my thing but I guess others like it quite a bit. To gauge this a bit, I'll say that our favorite pizza was either Brunos(in Lafayette...sadly gone now), or Aurelios(Homewood).

We arrived after a Lady's Basketball game supporting the Lady Huskies 8TH grade to a win.
A friend had recommended this Pizza and Sandwich shop a couple of years ago. Every time we tried to stop it was always packed. Tonight we arrived and was greeted by waitress and the owner. Seating was comfortable. Store was clean. Server explained the options and we chose Bread Sticks made in house and a medium pizza with everything.
I ordered a Bud Light bottle came out with a frosty glass. Bread sticks were hot fresh and tasty.
The pizza was a medium and we had to get a box to take 1/2 of it home. The toppings were fresh and tasty. Customer service was excellent. The rest room was spotless. Look forward to are return in the future.

Have been coming to Bronko's since I was a kid!

So I'd been reading all of the hype about Bronko's pizza, and since I live about 10 mins away, I thought to give them a shot. And Boy oh boy! I placed a carry out order over the phone, and I was told that my food would be ready in 20 minutes. I arrived 20 mins later and was immediately helped. Not only was my food ready, but they offered complimentary mushrooms since they'd accidentally made extra. The service was incredible and all of the staff were friendly!
I ordered the personal Meatza pizza, and it was so good. I'm not a big fan of cheese, but I loved everything about this pizza, along with the cheese. The crust was thin and The pizza was very flavorful.
On top of ordering a pizza, I had the audacity to order the stuffed mushrooms. Omgeeee, Those mushrooms were fire!! I know one thing; I will be back for more food!

Was in Indy on business. Called Friday night to have 24 pieces of chicken to go to take home to NW Indiana when they opened on Saturday.

Picked it up.

Drove 137 miles home.

24 pieces should have 6 pieces each of breast, thigh, leg, and wing. At least, when I've ordered multiples of 4 pieces at fried chicken joints all across the country it ALWAYS has.

Well, my order had FOUR breasts and 7 of the smallest wings and legs you've ever seen.'

When I sent a comment to the store on their web page, the owner said it was a "mistake" and that he trusted the lady who had worked for Bronko's for 30 years. He offered me a refund of $1.87.

With two orders of mushrooms and the 24 pieces of chicken, it was over $60.00. They knew I was making a special trip to Cicero to get it.

And he offered me . . . $1.87.

I will never grace the threshold there again.

Great chicken though.
