They are always upselling for routine visits and then when your dog is hurt you have to call and wait on hold at 8:30. I waited 30 minutes today and was told to call back tomorrow. if you make me jump through hoops when my dog has a minor injury why are you in practice? leaving after 3 years.

After many years of bringing our dogs to Dr. Rubin (even the location in Bethel) as of recent we had visited and dealt with Dr. Bishop. The dog was tested positive for Lyme and we were told kidney disease. We were given fluids and meds with no other information. After a few days of the dog not really eating, one day would be good, another bad. the vet called and mentioned they wanted blood pressure taken and that the dog would need additional scripts for meds. So we made another trip out, with no ability to speak to the vet. At this point the dog was throwing up nonstop from the doxy, I desperately asked to speak to dr bishop but i was told she was busy. After the blood pressure and scripts were handed to me, the vet tech said "if she doesn't eat by tomorrow, you need to take her somewhere." I replied take her where? you are our vet. told again, take her somewhere. why would I be picking up scripts to be filled and then told if no improvement in 24 hrs take the dog somewhere? Again asked for the vet, and nothing. We asked for a call back from Dr. Rubin and again days went by, no call. Finally we researched most ourselves, and found a second vet who told us the dog's real diagnosis. which unfortunately was fatal. When Dr. Rubin finally called back, we felt relief hoping she would lead us in the right direction with the prognosis...instead we were told we "berated" her staff!!! never once were they treated rude, we were constantly IGNORED and paid upwards of $1300!!! We lept saying don't you remember us, we've been coming for years? not that we expected special treatment because that's not moral, and we just kept saying Dr Rubin please help us with what to do, she then stated that her husband arrived with lunch and they aren't an ER vet. Ended the call. Years of caring for pets and this is what we got for a dying dog? We went to Banfield by family referral and unfortunately through more blood work, had to make the worst decision to put the dog to sleep. Then informed the dog not only had lyme, but nephritis. Another detail we were never clued on with two visits, as opposed to this initial one with banfield. I MUST add, I called Bridgeville back to speak to them about the last visit and in telling them at least 3 times the dog had passed, not ONE of them said, "I'm sorry to hear of your loss." NOT ONE person. THEY DO NOT CARE. Do yourself a favor, if you care about your animal (s) a single stitch, and want a dr. who cares, DO NOT bring your pets to Bridgeville!! they want your money, don't care, and are completely de-sensitized. I couldn't save my dog, however, my only regret is bringing her there in her final days and having the misconception they cared at all! RUN FAR AWAY! Dr. Rubin - I hope you enjoyed your lunch.

Run far far away!! They're just a money making business. They don't actually care about your pets. They'll request multiple X-rays just so you have to pay each time. They also market through vetsource so you'll constantly get emails from them to buy their products.

Thought they were great at first, but they couldn't handle my baby Boston terrier to give her eye drops and refused to continue to see her. My baby is a hand full, but I thought they would b e better equipped to handle her than and

I am 62 years old. Have had dogs all my life. Have seen a lot of vets over the years. This office, staff, and Doctors rate highest of all. I see Dr Rubin often. She is so professional I trust her knowledge with everything on my 2 dogs. Have never met a dog/animal lover like her before. She takes time with my dogs. Usually in past a 5 minute visit and out with meds. It's not that way at this office. Staff is great! I would recommend this office to anyone that is looking for the best care for your pet.

I loved my experience with Bridgeville Animal Hospital. They fit my sick cat in at the last minute and took great care of her. She needed antibiotics and they gave her a shot of antibiotics that lasts two weeks! I had no idea that was an option. I wish vets had told me before this. I will definitely go back. It was on the pricey side though, not uncommon for vets.

Absolutely amazing practice. They treat our two pups like they are members of their own family. Every experience from checkups and nail trimmings to surgery has been spectacular, easy, and affordable. We can speak highly for every doc and tech we interact with. 1000% recommend them for your pups.

We recently changed vets from one in Greentree where we had been going for 13 years. After at least 4 to 5 visits in the past year for the same concerns with no resolution, we decided to get a 2nd opinion. We made an appointment with Dr. Rubin, who immediately recognized Max had a serious problem. She suggested a biopsy where it was determined our Max was suffering from cutaneous lymphoma, an uncommon type of cancer. We lost valuable treatment time with a vet that didn't listen to our concerns and now I'm afraid it may be too late. Dr Rubin sent a referral to the oncologist at Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center. We have an appointment in 2 weeks. I'm so sorry we didn't switch sooner. She is caring and compassionate and took our concerns seriously. We are heartbroken but i would definitely recommend Dr. Rubin for anyone looking for a competent and compassionate caretaker for the members of our family who can't speak for themselves.
