Bobbitt Law Firm was to negotiate a fine reduction for my citations: not a chance. I had to pay the lawyers fees and the full amount of the fines! A $500 ticket cost me $1000 total. Thanks Bobbitt Law! Don't hire this firm.

I've had too many issues with Bobbitt to list - feel free to message me for more info. I found out about Bobbitt Law through a mailer, which FINE I get it - probably should have been a bigger red flag.
I don't know much about the traffic court system, and I received an obviously bogus ticket, but I would have been more successful if I had attended court without an attorney.
Among other issues, Bobbitt told me that they would attend my initial court date for me so they could get an extension (and encouraged me to skip it), but despite a contract and payment - they failed to show up, so of course I received a warrant for my arrest. Un-fucking-acceptable. In addition to the issue of the warrant itself, there are also fees associated with a warrant.
Eventually my court date was rescheduled and in the middle of the hearing - the lawyer pulled me into the hall to ask if there was a collision involved. There wasn't. And he should have known that going in.
I've asked Bobbitt for a refund, and they haven't responded. This process has made me lose a little more faith in "the system," and I'll definitely never use or recommend Bobbitt Law.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Chantell J.Rosemead, CA241522May 30, 2018
DO NOT HIRE! COST 4 times more than if I would have paid ticket and paid for defensive driving. After getting paid and "Deferred Adjudication" no response. I contacted them to clarify why the agreed amount is double the settlement. I was instructed to contact the courts. Wasted time, money, and caused extra frustration!
I DO NOT RECOMMEND! THE WEBSITE LISTS 5 STAR FALSIFIED REVIEWS.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - EA M.Far West/Northwest Hills, Austin, TX05Jul 3, 2018
Bad experience; they charged their fee to do the exact same thing I could have done for and by myself; they only made my procedure more expensive.
I have asked them twice for an explanation, via email, as well as a full refund of their fee, and they have not even bothered to answer.
If you want to pay your fine and also want to pay their fee to get nothing; hire them but I really think there are better ways to use your money.
They will not even give you the correct information about the case; they gave me wrong due dates and omitted to inform that I should take a Defensive Driving Course; obligation that I found out because I did my own research at Austin Municipal Court website .
I want my money back and a letter of apology.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Justin D.Rockwall, TX289819Oct 10, 2017

I didn't even start with them and already they had provided horrible customer service. I ended up paying about 275$ and 10 minutes later I got a quote from another attorney for 75$. I decided to go with the better deal and called to cancel only to be told that i will not be getting a refund because of company policy. This of course was a lie since the contract I got in my email said that I could get a full refund if "prior to attorney filing a letter of representation with the court." I had called them 10 minutes after the transaction! They have caused me a bigger headache then the ticket itself, I will never call them for anything concerning legal needs.

WARNING. FRAUDULENT. Because I can't give zero stars.
Terrible experience over a simple traffic ticket. After hiring Bobbitt Law, received a "CONGRATULATIONS!" letter in the mail from them saying my citation was dismissed. A ~month later received a letter from Bobbitt saying I had a warrant for 'Failure to Appear'. When I called to inquire, they told me they had a computer glitch but had mailed out a notice that I should I appeared; a notice I never got.
My 'options' were to re-hire them to bond me out warrant status; all of which was being explained to me by the most unprofessional, unempathetic associate I ever recall encountering.
This feels fraudulent - a computer 'glitch' on their side turned into a warrant for me. There should be some responsibility on the part of this law firm to actively follow-up with those clients affected by a computer 'glitch'. This borders on bait-and-switch or deceptive practices at the very least.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ruben R.Irving, TX012Jan 3, 2017

Avoid this firm at all costs. I hired them to represent me in a speeding ticket case expecting, of course, a better outcome than I could have negotiated for myself. In fact what I got was confusion, a waste of time, and outcome I could have quite simply negotiated for myself.
Issues I faced:
1) Neglected to tell me that they generally are only able to get a dismissal if you accompany them for the first hearing. When they called me and told me that had finally confirmed an appearance date months later, I told them I was going to be out of the state on business and they didn't suggest that we seek a new date or relay the importance of needing to appear in person. After all, aren't you hiring them to take care of this for you?
2) They never answer their customer service line after they've accepted your case and they do not reply to your e-mail requests for updates as well. You'll have to call into the "new case" extension to get a real human to talk to.
3) Once they made the appearance on my behalf, the case disposition letter they sent me afterward didn't accurately describe the outcome they negotiated on my behalf! They stated in the letter I received deferred adjudication only, which was not the case. The city also required I take a defensive driving course and that requirement that they neglected to spell out in the letter. The only reason I knew this is because I received a letter in the mail from the Austin municipal court stating I had not fulfilled the terms of my deferral and I had to call the clerk's office to be told that the DSC course was also required!
Obviously I could have saved myself the $200 and the hassle of all of this by simply signing up for the defensive driving course myself. When I called Bobbitt Law back to ask for a refund or help in correcting the issue, they declined to offer further assistance, admit the mistake of not accurately stating the terms of the plea in the case disposition letter, or agree to even a partial refund due to all of the above. I could have ended up with a warrant against me had I not been vigilant in following up with the city directly.
You've been warned; find another more ethical, reputable firm!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Deryk D.Dallas, TX1474Sep 13, 2018
The worst practicing lawyers ever, should never be allowed near a courthouse. Got a ticket 6 years ago which was taken to these people and it's still on my record. What's the point of taking the ticket to the lawyer if it still goes on your record? I could have paid the ticket without a lawyer with the same result. I've gone to ANOTHER lawyer at Fitzhugh & Central expressway for many years, and not one ticket was placed on my record. ALL were negotiated by Meyer to not go on my record. Yes, I have a speeding problem, but that's why I thought I would go to decent lawyer!! My fault?! I think not. NEVER AGAIN, Bobbitt Law

DO NOT HIRE THIS LAWFIRM!!!! They charged me $160 in January 17' for a speeding ticket in Fort Worth, and never heard anything until about May, I had to call and make sure I didn't miss anything and they told me Ft. Worth has a long wait and I was still good. Anyway, finally received my letter for court and I appeared. The lawyer let me know that I could pay the court cost and he would get me deferred disposition with 90 days probation. I thought everything was all good, until I received a letter in the mail from the city of Ft. Worth saying that I owed $82 and I needed to show up in court, except I saw this after the court day. Now I have to pay the fee, which is fine if I owe it, but my probation was revoked and now I have this citation on my driving record.
I have called the office and the secretary said she would talk to that lawyer and get back with me that day, which guess what NEVER HAPPENED! So every time I call back I get nothing!!!
These guys are criminals and scammers!!!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
