Contacted Bob twice about scheduling a time to come out to 2 separate properties. He said he would contact the tenants to set up the appointments but never did. Didn't respond to follow up texts either. Not sure why he would agree to do something and then not follow through.
In response- why did you not notify me? Why did you not respond to my text for an update?Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Business owner information

The 1st call you canceled and the second place we had a 5:30 pm appointment and I was there at 5:25 pm and your tenant Alex canceled at 5:27 pm.
We have to have access to do repairs you weren't charged a Trip charge. These wasted trips drive up prices for other customers that make and keep
appointments as scheduled. In the business we call these Dummy runs.
So now you know.
We have after this changed policy to credit card on file and any trips billed for broken appointment without an hour's notice of cancellation.Nov 28, 2018Previous reviewContacted Bob twice about scheduling a time to come out to 2 separate properties. My kitchen sink wasn't draining. I called Bob and not even 24 hours later he came to the house. He fixed the issue within 10 minutes! Super nice, knowledgeable, and affordable. I'll be keeping his business card close for any future needs.

Both times I have had bob out to my house he has always been quick to respond and can got to me either that day or the next. First time it was a on/off valve for my outdoor hose spout that had been leaking in my house fixed it right and haven't had problems since. The second time I had concerns of a bathroom water leak and he instructed me to do three tests to see which involved closing the drains to see if the smell in my bathroom continued. If you want someone to do the job right bob is the guy for you. I understand why he doesn't give you a price when he walks in your door seeing some projects are hard to price.

On two occasions I've called Bob for help. On those two occasions he's taken the time for me to explain the issue. Even sent a few pictures of the issue. On those two occasions he's walked me through the fix. A VERY HONEST man! It's not often you find someone willing to help you out even if it costs them a few bucks.
I will call again when a situation arisesHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Captain B.Indianapolis, IN01Feb 25, 2021
Had gas leak in house
Gas company shut it off
Bob the plumber came over
He said he could not fit in our attic opening
A couple of times he said he might bail out of the repair
He put on 2 new gas shut offs
I should of have had him bail when I found out he had no equipment to pressurize gas pipes to be able to check pipes for leaks with soapy water on joints of pipes
I guess that doesnt matter if you are too big to go into attic where most of the pipes are
Charged me $854.22 to put on the 2 valves
Charged me $564..06 for house leak search. The only pipes he searched where the 2 on the furnace room
Replacing the 2 valves should have cost about $400
Overcharged me by $1000
He told us the pipes were fixed
Gas company came out to test or pipes
They still leaked
I called Bob and he argued with the gas employee on my speaker phone
His web site says he will tell you in advance what the charge will be
We didn't know until he was so called done

Sent time stamped and gps google photos of his house and the repairs and digital gauge readings that were made and he said it wasn’t his house and canceled the service which was his choice and have to respect that he refused any further services. He said he called another company that added high pressure to a low pressure gas system which will cause additional leak damages.

Bob got right out on a situation quick. Well I was staying with a buddy of mine for a few days and someone dropped a bomb in the tolite, like got it plugged up, them sausage rolls we ate did the pipes no favors. Got backed up pretty good, clogged up. Gave Bob a shout out and he came eager as a beaver to make that cheddar and get the drain flowing once again.
He didn't stay long, but he dislodged that log stuck in the drain pipe quick. Him and his team also got skills on a plunger, they have a technique side to side and flush flush and plunge the heck out of it, bust the pipe wide open. Got that bad stuff out of there and down the drain to never never land. Bob thank you sir! you saved the day. These guys do all kinds of plumbing jobs, they glue the plastic pipes together, build mazes you name it, know what they are doing.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michelle C.Indianapolis, IN61132Apr 17, 2017Purchased a Yelp Deal
To replace my sump pump, was charged around 800 dollars. It's an effluent pump which I'm to understand is more than a normal pump, but I worry that 800 dollars was asinine to charge for this replacement.
His book, to be fair, quoted it at 740, and he charged the extra 45 for the trip (heh). Maybe effluent pumps do run 600 dollars and then the additional was installation. I just can't imagine that to be the case. I'd be curious to know the cost of the actual pump, I'm sure it's higher quality than you can get at Home Depot or Amazon, but those are my only points of reference.
Regardless, it's working now. That's something.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Matthew D.Indianapolis, IN05Apr 6, 2017
Watch out for the additional charges. He added $40 worth of parts that he never told me about until he was done. His prices I feel are inflated. I paid $335 to have a $75 sink faucet replaced.
He waited 81 days to deposit my check. In that time I had to get a new checking account. I didn't close out my account until more than 30 days since the last interaction was posted, but I didn't validated all checks had been paid out. To be honest I right maybe 3 checks a year so I didn't think about it. I would think a entrepreneur would want to get paid and wouldn't sit on a check for 81 days.
When my check was returned I immediately paid him, but he was adamant that it was all my fault and I had to pay his returned check fee. My mistake was an honest one and I paid my debt. He wouldn't budge on his returned check fee.
Update...for the record I paid the return check fee and PayPal fee. It was you that offered to return those fees after a long morning of debatingHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you for the reveiw Mathew. The faucet that you tried to remove and failed was chewed up and had to be sectioned out like a bad tooth and the extra $40 was for replacement of other damaged plumbing parts that was found and charged at cost. When I contacted you the other day you said everything was great until the bounced check on the closed Anderson bank account.
The check was written on an out of town closed bank account and when you write a check you are responsible to make it good.
The bank charged a $12 returned check fee which you refused to pay and when the payment was made for you through PayPal there was a additional $10 processing fee to us for the PayPal payment.
After a review we took the $22 loss and paid the fees for you for the bounced check.
Please learn how to balance your check book so this doesn't happen to you again. - Nathan B.Noblesville, IN55636Jan 7, 2015
We have used Bob as our plumber for a few years now. He has always been honest, knowledgable and reasonably priced. We will continue to use him as our plumber as long as he is around. Highly recommended.
Plus, his name reminds you of Bob the Builder, and who doesn't like that?Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
