A dancers heaven! Bloch located in Covent Garden, is perfect for finding all the professional dance and ballet wear you will ever need. Specialising particularly in dance shoes, the ranges include baby shoes, dance fashion footwear, designer ladies ballet flats, jazz shoes/trainers and pumps.
The attire is also adaptable as despite focusing on clothes to dance in, many of the cropped tops and baggy jazz style trousers also have a 'street' vibe making this a great place to go if you are a fan of street dancing and are after a more casual and trendy outfit. Of course, the store also stocks the classic dance wear such as leotards and dance tights or underwear.
As with most dance wear, the garments do tend to be on the more expensive side but you will definitely find anything you need to get on the dancefloor here!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Leon C.Wellington, New Zealand6871003700Jan 2, 2009
Any self respecting dancer will own some piece of Bloch dance wear, and where better to get them than the Bloch store in Covent Garden.
For all your dance needs whether it is contemporary, street or traditional ballet style clothing or shoes they stock it.
There is always someone on hand to help guide you and give advice. I am a fan of this store, and although not cheap you do have the sense of having purchased real professional dance wear.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Naz S.Irvine, CA2982125Jun 21, 2014
Bloch (Covent Garden) HORRIBLE experiences!!
The costumer service in this store is just sad and horrible.
I was looking for tap dancing shoes and there was another lady customer trying out some shoes. She banged her head to a terribly designed low ceiling in the area where you test the shoes and none of the sellers seemed to care. They just stand there watching.
From the two different tapping shoes I tried, I needed a size 10 and the seller told me twice that they don't carry it. Well guess what, he found me one because I insisted for a third time.
I guess since they don't own the store, they don't care to sell.
At the register, I saw some black tights and I asked the cashier if it was see-through since you are not allowed to open the package and try then on, which I respect. She said no, they are not see-through.
Well guess what?? She lied.
I took it back to the store the next day. A blonde woman was standing at the register who was extremely rude and wasn't looking at me when I was talking to her and ignored my request to return the item.
A fairly darker skin guy came by who seemed to be the manager, but was extremely ignorant. A true shit customer service I've ever experienced in my life. Maybe I am used to the States!
He tells me he won't take them back even though I explain to him that the seller lied to me and that I haven't tried them on, I simply opened the package.
I leave the store, because that store and the people working in it are just so sad.
Bloch has lost a customer for a 12 pounds tights and for not training it's sellers to be polite and helpful to their customers. I will never ever ever shop from Bloch and I will also make sure no one does!
There are so many other fantastic stores in Covent Garden that sell dancing attire such as CAPEZIO; super nice atmosphere and helpful sellers.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Danielle M.Seattle, WA281465267Mar 31, 2013

Quality dancewear spread over two floors in this famous dance brand shop. Better quality than Pineapple and with shoes and gear for all dance styles and ages including baby shoes. Their ranges are cool and understated and look really stylish on. The staff know their stuff and know all about dance and what you need and are helpful and friendly

Excellent. I called to order two pairs of shoes. They shipped them right away that day and I received them the following day with a lovely handwritten note. Thank you so much! They fit perfectly.

I went to Bloch yesterday to buy some new jazz sneakers. I've been injured for three months, and so was very nervous about the whole experience! However, the sales assistant was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He was also empathetic regarding my injury, which made such a difference. I didn't feel pressurised into buying, and found the perfect pair of shoes. I can't wait to get back to class now. Thank you, Bloch!
