Excited to have a solid poké restaurant in downtown Maplewood now! I stopped in with a friend earlier this week and was happy to see this location has more seating available than the location on Vandeventer. The neon signs and decor definitely give it a modern vibe.
The menus is limited to 10 options but you can get them in a Burrito, Bowl, Salad, or Nachos.
I asked the server at the counter what the most popular pick was and she said "Tiger Style". So I ordered the regular size Tiger Style Bowl. She said it's called Tiger Styled because they drizzle both the OG Fire and Unagi sauce on top of the bowl. You have the option to modify your meal as they are building it which is nice if you want to add more protein, veggies, etc. She asked if I wanted jalapeños, I said "I'll pass" but ended up with them on my bowl anyway :/ not a big deal though, I just picked them off.
Prices are to be expected- $15.95 for a regular Tiger Style or $18.95 for large. The regular was plenty for me though.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 4, 2024
If I could give this place more than 5 I would! I ordered the tiger style salmon bowl and it was so fresh and delicious also came out super quick! Really loved all the flavors in it. Loved the inside look service was great everyone was very friendly. Definitely will be back to try some more options.

I decided to grab a quick to-go dinner here even though I'm not a sushi person, so I got the least sushi thing, a California-style salad. It was ready in a few minutes and SO DELICIOUS! Super fast and super fresh, can't recommend enough.

This place was very flavorful! Definitely a must try!! I got a bowl and my son got a burrito both were very filling. We came around lunch and the food was made extremely fast and everything was fresh. It looked pretty to eat lol but wow it tasted soo good! I want to try more! Definitely a lot of different options to try and the employee told me they could switch out proteins if I liked certain ingredients which is nice and perfect to accommodate peoples tasteful likes. The employees seemed nice and friendly. They don't have fountain drinks just water and bottled beverages which sucks, no ice! This place is right next to a taco place I've tried as well as a burger place I've tried out of any of them to eat again I would choose this place again. It's sushi Mexican in my opinion but very delicious. Prices seem to be normal. $29 for us to eat.

Delicious! Some of the best food I've had in a while. The service was very good and you can pay with cash for anyone who was wondering (I was confused on that). It was busy but still very enjoyable to go out to eat with my friends. Only problem is that the Manchester restaurant is not market on Apple Maps so a friend went to the one closer to forest part . But that's not their fault so over all 10/10!

I wanted to give this 4-stars--it's so close--but there were some major things that needed fixing. There were only 3 people in line when we arrived but it took a long while before we were able to order because they were also fixing online orders ahead of those in person. And, apparently, they messed up and were duplicating orders that they had already made! Well, when we were finally able to order, we go to the first guy who basically just fiddles with the burrito orders, placing rice and cucumbers atop the nori then passes it to the next guy who seems to do the bulk of the work. This next guy (buff, Asian dude) also seems to be in charge because everyone working is bugging him with questions! I ordered a salad, so the first guy had to do slightly more, but not much... Anyway, our 2 burritos and 1 salad get made, finally. I turn around and there is a line TO THE DOOR! So, their food line is messed up! Even I've noticed that Chipotle has a separate area to make online orders! Plus, it's NOT NICE to have me watch while you prioritize something else over me, who is standing right in front of you. Food was really good, although my salad was on the dry side. It needed more sauce and I was only given one whereas most poke places give you the option to have two. Prices were fine. The small dining area was getting messy. Busy street parking on Manchester Road.

Stopped here on a whim for lunch and I was throughly surprised as I am just in town visiting.
The staff were nice as I asked a few questions about the menu.
I got the Cali Gold and as a sushi lover, it was perfect and so fulfilling.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 26, 2023Updated review
I have been to BLK MKT Eats numerous times and it never ever fails! It is always good and always consistent. Everything I have had has been good, but the Killa Crunch and the tuna poke nachos are my absolute faves. Recently, I ordered the tuna poke nachos and a side order of shrimp tempura and it was the perfect compromise of both rich tuna flavors and amazingly crunchy shrimp tempura. The service is fast and friendly as well. Do not sleep on this place!

The flavors and freshness are both out of this world and it's definitely the most unique food I've had in a while. We very recently got back from a trip to Maui and this fish tasted just as fresh as the fish we had there. We got the OG Fire burrito and the Shaka Poke nachos. Both were amazing, but I definitely preferred the nachos. Their wonton chips are so crispy and flavorful, which is saying a lot considering I eat the cream cheese out of crab rangoon and leave the wonton crispies behind. The meal was just fantastic. Go! I promise you won't be disappointed!

Fun idea and experience!
I love the idea behind a sushi burrito. Super convenient to be able to eat sushi with your hands. Compared to a specialty roll you might get at a typical sushi restaurant, I think the price is pretty reasonable. The only negative is the restaurant its self has pretty limited seating, so keep that in mind if you come with a big group. Will definitely be coming back again!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 16, 2023
This wasn't the greatest experience for us. I was asked if our order was for take out or eat in, told them eat in, but then somebody stepped in and bagged it up for to go. From what I saw, 95% of their business IS take out, but I think they should pay attention to the customer. I ordered a bowl because I figured eating a monster burrito would be difficult. For the price of the bowl, I think they are heavy on the rice, and lighter on the other items. Flavors were excellent, just too much rice... Ambiance for eat in is lousy. It was handy for grabbing food before a show at the Fox, but will probably go elsewhere next time.
