Big Splash Adventure Waterpark

I would not recommend this waterpark at all. We visited on February 4 and the carpet was dirty. It was a group of us. So we had multiple rooms and one of the room had a bugs in the bed. When we took a bath, the shower was running so our hair got wet. The bed had old food all on the back of the bed. We told manager she didn't act like she cared. The kids had fun. But will never visit again.

Kids had fun, that's the important part. 2 stars because the bartender was super rude. We came down to have one drink at 8:30pm. The bar closes at nine and not a single soul was in there. The hostess leads us to the bar and informs the bartender that he has "two people" and he said " are you serious?" So we turned around and went back to the room. Nothing was said or made right. We did drive two hours to get there to be treated poorly. Breakfast was a joke as well.

We came here for a family getaway. The room was just okay. The beds were moderately comfortable but not great. The air conditioner seemed to work during the day but would not stay cool at night, and the toiletries provided were very low quality.

The water park area looks like it has seen better days. It was run down, rusty, and a little sad. It could definitely use a new paint job to make it look refreshed. There was also not much to do for 3 year olds because the kitty pool area is so small. It would have been nice to have low depth water around the climbing area to give additional options. There was not a lifeguard up in the smaller kiddie slides, so when the park got busy there were kids running wild and plowing over the smaller kids with no regard. Also kids climbing up the slides and causing pile ups. We also kept finding nuts and bolts randomly around the water park, so I'm not sure what was falling apart.

We had a situation where a kid was puking all over near the entrance to the water park. The mom threw towels over it to soak it up, and I reported it to the workers so they could sanitize and clean further. I sat down to finish my dinner, and the worker that I reported it to came to deliver a pizza out to a family. The man reported the situation with the person throwing up to her again, and the worker said, "yeah I know. I'm just going to act like I didn't see it." The other worker did at least eventually call a life guard in to look at it, but since the mom soaked up the liquid they just shrugged and no further sanitation occurred. This was steps away from where people sit to eat their pizza from the Galley, families are coming in and out of the water park, and kids are running around playing in the arcade.

Overall, the kids had fun so that was the main concern but the place was outdated and dirty. There was mold throughout the room which I did let the front desk know and they just said "thanks for letting us know" and that was it. No resolution for us which was annoying. The games in the game room constantly "eat" quarters so we had to keep telling the desk workers who would give us the quarters back but they didn't actually fix the problem. I spent way too much money on the two room suite for it to be so gross. Everyone was so grossed out by the breakfast that everyone just skipped it.

My Girl Scout troop decided to go here using cookie money. The girls seen the big glass building that hold the water park and got so excited. The check in was quick. Our rooms where great. The GS enjoyed big splash just as much as great wolf. Breakfast buffet was great tasting with plenty of options for food. Would love to go back again sometime

Very disappointed to pay over $300 a night for a bed without a fitted sheet and bugs crawling on the wall. Just seems gross!

I asked the front desk for a fitted sheet and they do not have any. They provide you with two flat sheets and do not use a fitted sheet on any of their beds.

If I could give zero stars I would! Do not stay here! Understaffed, unfriendly, dirty water park bathrooms (clogged poop toilets) tissue paper on the floor, broken games, dirty rooms (see photos), beds look like the people before us just left and they definitely did not change the sheets. I'm sitting in the dirty room as I write this and there is hair in the beds no fitted sheets and this place is charging 300 a night? They told us if we lose our wristband they would charge us 50 dollars? Where is all this money going too that they are charging people? Waste of money and I honestly would rather drive back three hours home than stay here. The manager said there's nothing we can do we're sold out.

My husband and 4 grandchildren stayed Jan13-15. It was very crowded. The hotel is not the greatest, but that wasn't a huge concern.

The waterpark has seen better days. Areas were not kept clean after people left (even if they made a huge mess). I cleaned off one table because it was very crowded and nowhere else to go. The adult hot tub was not working and closed off the whole weekend. The ropes course was closed off. The arcade has maybe 12 games and most of the "claw" type machines. The counter service was ok, but the place was not kept clean.

In the children's area, there was no lifeguard or hotel supervision. One child continuously cut in front of the other kids waiting in line constantly. There was also pushing and shoving going on and of course no parents to "parent."

The final straw was when we went to dinner. We had viewed the menu online and decided it was reasonable with items the kids would eat. We didn't want to go out because it was so cold. When we got to the dining room we were told it was now buffet style and would be 12.95 per child and 19.95 per adult. There was no notice given. So we bundled up 4 kids and went to Paoli!

On the plus side, the employees were very nice and helpful when asked. But they were not super attentive or proactive (cleaning up).

We will not be back unless major changes happen.

Not CLEAN! If they are going to pack the park it needs to be cleaned. Not enough life guards. Had to wait way over the time of checkin to get room. We booked their highest suite and additional rooms. Paid a lot of money and very very disappointed.

Terrible room condition, Room 1338 with bed bugsand other types of insects...horrible...horrible breakfast. The park with rust, bad service...

We bought day passes for my kids birthday with no intention of staying at the hotel. We spent a bunch of money on everyone (6 people total). I made a friend who was unable to get a day pass because they ran out so she bought a room to get the passes. She told me we could have the room if we wanted it. I normally would pass, but my kid LOVES hotels and it's her birthday. I sent the guys home and was all set for a fun girls night! I went to the front desk to see if admission for the pool also covered check out day. They said yes. I asked if I could get 2 more bracelets for the kids (the lady that gave me the room only had 2). I told her I would be happy to pay for them if needed and told her why I only had 2. She left me at the desk, went to I guess the supervisors office, shut the door, and when she finally came out she said she needed to talk to another supervisor because they didn't know if I STOLE the room! Then another lady came out and made me feel terrible for getting a free room, and said she won't kick me out but I'm not getting any free passes. The same ones I offered to pay for! I would have left, but my partner was already on the way home an hour away and it would have disappointed my kid. I'll find someplace better for birthdays in the future.
